Reviews for Wake
He's quite the negotiator. LOL. And she's a puddle of goo,. as it were.
That letter was lots of fun! As someone who can kinda-sorta piece her way through Portugese, it was like having a puzzle thrown into the middle of the chapter that I could have skipped, but isn't it more fun to pick it through instead? The minute Gabriel said "a witch or wizard you can trust," the whole thing made sense. Brilliant!I love nervous, self-doubting Hermione, because I'm pretty sure that not matter how 'grownup' we get, we never out grow the nervous 13- year- old inside us; we just bury her in more knowledge and bolster with all that handy experience and confidence.
I just adore this Hermione. And I'm really, really, really, really curious about her scar and what took place between her, Harry and Ron ...
I can't read a lick of Portuguese, so I wish there had been a translation at the end of the chapter, but other than that...
How very interesting. They will be trapsing through the jungles of Brazil. I have trapsed through the jungles of Panama. Quite an experience. Depending on where they are going, and who is taking them, this could be quite an adventure.
I love how he wnts to see her but he's to Snapey to do it. I also loved that he had no clue who Wilbur was, and Hermione's reaction to that.
LMAO, Author's note included!
I think Wilbur is on the pig's back. (I think that might be a kiwi expression) :)
Philtrist...so much better than 'potioner' ...or 'Philtrerer'! Bwahahahahaaa Silly me thought you were going to use it only in Spanish, which sounds even better, methinks! Cool in either language because it evokes 'artist' and, let's face it, Severus is an artist. I think your dream of contributing something permanent to the fanon has been achieved, my dear. Congrats!
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Yes, filtrista is elegant, isn't it? I'm very proud of it.
Porciform is, indeed, a real word. And Wilbur's makes perfect sense now that I know he's a pig.
Severus' letter to Kingsley is very mysterious. Those seven symptoms that he wrote about all seem to indicate some sort of malfunction of the different parts of the brain. Will Kingsley deign to give his spy the information he requested?
I'm looking forward to the next chapter!

Philtrist. I love your new word! And who (or what) is Wilber? Just call me "Padawan."Beth
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Wilbur is Hermione's test pig :-)
Response from braye27 (Reviewer)
Obviously I cannot spell.
*wails... Now I have to wait for more! Love the pacing of this. I'm going to hide behind something really, really big when Hermione figures out that Severus is spying on her. Yep, I am. You're writing more, right? *waits patiently... no, really, I am.
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Oh, she is going to hex parts of him whose functionality he's seriously going to miss.I'm about 5 chapters ahead of pub right now.
Such fabulous observations here about ethnocentricity and its consequences. I'm fascinated by this Hermione, and entranced by Severus. Onward!
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Ooh, thank you! I've always been impressed by the conservative nature of Rowling's wizarding world--you can imagine them being really resistant to new and different stuff.
Oh, boy. What happened to Hermione? There's something lurking beneath the surface that's making my antennae perk up. *frets
Rushes onward.
Now why would Hermione want to be able to become invisible? Hmmm. Love the dialogue and mood between them :) And Snape's reflections... oh, my. "After the War he would be warm. After the War he would answer to no one. After the War he would be free." *sobs*dies
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Wouldn't you want to be invisible? I think Hermione just mainly wants to make money.
Oh, I do love this Hermione! Heee! She's traipsed off on her own and pursed what takes her fancy. Fabulous. *runs off to the next chapter
GAH. This is fabulous, just fabulous. You've woven atmosphere and given us tremendous backstory and left me wanting MORE NOW. I want to know what happened to Hermione. I want to know more about what's gone on these past ten years. I want to get to know this yummy Snape.
Good thing for me that I'm behind on reading new stories and I get five more chapters before I'm relegated to waiting (delayed sobbing). *bounces off to the next chapter
This is fantastic! I'm delighted to see you posting- I loved your past stories, and this one with a disillusioned but passionate Hermione is really fun to read. Poor Wilbur...
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Why, thank you! Although I warn you, it's going to get a bit dark later on.
A pig! *cackles*Amusing chapter, including the made-up word. And now I want moar.
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Moar on teh way. I'm tryna stay 5 chappies ahead.
"It was, he supposed, like riding a bicycle. Perhaps in time it would chafe less, and not make him so sore and irritable."And that captures him so well. And I understand the feeling so well. Us grumpy bastards trying to be polite and diplomatic ...Anyway, I like this a lot and I'm also hoping for some invisible Snape sex ... very exciting thought that.
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
And you shall have it. Well, sort of. Well, almost.
I think I shall use your word! Although I do think that YOU should be the one to make the entry to UrbanDictionary.com. *cough*Just sayin' . . .
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Well, I submitted it. We shall see.
Heh. Sweet.
Love frigate birds and this is exactly what I pictured when you described it! I do love Hermione in this. She's still, as Snape says, magnificent. Can't wait for more.
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Thank you. I was bored with owls and wanted something native to South America.
what a facinating story. i can't wait to find out hermione's situation. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Thank you! More about her situation will unfold as the story does.
Wonderful update, I am really hooked on your story:-))
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Thank you! At the moment, it's kind of got me by the short & curlies.
Oh dear...it's certainly sounding like Hermione is ultimately behind the very things Severus has been sent to investigate. And to stop by any means necessary...it seems to be unintentional on her part, but I imagine Sev's orders won't allow him much wiggle room in that regard. Hopefully something else will surface soon which will shed more light on the problem, and away from Hermione! I hang on the edge of my seat for the next chapter!
Response from Hechicera (Author of Wake)
Mmm, yes it does. Typing as fast as I can.
