Reviews for A Man's Best Friend
I would apologize for not reviewing any of the previous chapters, but honestly, when that happens it means that I am enjoying a story so much that I can't be bothered to stop as long as there are more chapters available. So I'm not sorry :) This is original, fun, and intriguing. I am eager to see what is up next.
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
No need to apologise. I'm just glad your reading it. Thanks for reviewing.
Great chapter. Sounds like they are smudging out the line between student and teacher... If she doesn't want him to kiss her, she has an odd way of showing it. I hope she is trying to get him to focus on someone besides Lily, since she is obviously abandoning him as a friend. From the way she talks, I can't help but wonder if she has seen into his future. Perhaps with a time turner? Or is she a better psychic than Trelawney?I used to work at NASA/Langley Research Center and Air Force Base in Hampton, VA. To get to my office, I had to drive around the end of the run-way. Sometimes the F-15s would be taking off as I drove by. A real thrill indeed!

The jet's rumble goes right through you, doesn't it?
Response from ClayPotter (Reviewer)
Yes!
I bet lots of people would like to dunk Severus Snape in freezing water! :P
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
There's freezing, and then there's the North Sea which is "bracing" (Dave says).
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
I suppose he'd call it a little "fresh" out tonight?
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Aye!
Wow, another kiss!!! That was a sweet adventure.
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Another kiss, but it's not his Lily.
As I have never been to Scotland, I will take your word for it about the jets. *grin* And I still think Charmaine is Hermione using a Time_Turner. ^_~
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
The thrum through your chest is intense, and (more important to the Scots) it's free.
" usually only occurs between people who are intimate.” Yummy! That sets one to wonder how things are in the future between Severus, and our darling professor. I can't wait to see how this unfolds! Once again, thank you for sharing your brilliance~

And a bit of confusion, as well.
Poor Severus. Always too littel too late. Aside of his trials, there we see a budding infatuation (love???) with his Potios Master! I'll wait to see the unfold. As always, thank you for sharing~

Maybe just a teenage infatuation?
Lupin & Snape. They both share that outsider aire. To be able to be honest with someone about your true feelings, priceless. I hope soon they will learn to put imposition aside, and embrace a mutual friendship. This is written so well, be proud that the emotion of this seeps through to your readers. I have enjoyed this immensely. On to the chappie. As always, thank you for sharing~

Thank you for your wonderful review. I hope you continue to enjoy it.
Nice to see Lily & Severus so close. Too bad it doesn't last, as history states. :( Severus, peeking "panty" Tom in the potions stores...*giggle* Oh, to be young again. Thank you again for sharing~

Those teenage years are not always easy though.
Mademoiselle Charmaine Bien-Aimée, ah Hermione??? Lovely. Potter is so cocky... There's times I would like to see him put in his place. Little buggar. Poor Severus. But, now he's got someone in his corner. Once again, lovely. As always, thank you for sharing~

Hermione?? how?
You have my attention. Excitedly @ that! I would love to see how this friendship evolves. Everybody needs someone, even as the simple use of a shoulder, or sounding board. Please continue. I will await patiently. As always, thank you for sharing~

Thanks. I hope you enjoy the rest of the story.
Mistixs? Is that what I think it is? *snicker* Good chapter as usual. ^_^
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Dunno. What are you thinking? I'll tell you what I'm thinking in the next chapter.
Response from MsTree (Reviewer)
I'm thinking a Quidditch team made up of Sybil Trewlawneys (or witches just like her, anyway). Ya know, Mystixs = Mystics ^_~
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
What an excellent idea!
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Can't imagine them playing much Quidditch in between having visions and gazing into the crystal balls. But they may be able to predict the outcome without having to play the game
Bummer, those boys really need a good kickin' Can Hermione do that please? Please? And a natural legilimens... Surprise, surprise! At least it is to Severus.
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Teenage boys... yeuch! We all know they get their comeuppance in the end.
great couple of chapters...hating the marauders. more please
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Thanks for reviewing. This is a finished story. It's all just waiting to come on line.
Wassock. I love that word. :)
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
It says what it means.
Such fascinating developments. I love how all of this is tangled together. I can hardly wait for Snape to explain that he didn't even realize what he was doing when he read her thoughts accidentally. His first attempt at Legilimency? What a natural. And I'm glad Lupin is a true friend. He needs that more than ever now.
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Glad to hear you're liking it. Thanks for the review.
i'm really liking your take on Severus and Remus's friendship. thanks for your time and effort
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
You're welcome. Thanks for your review.
Caught by surprise, he looked down into Charmaine’s honey eyes, catching a flicker of sighing thought... Severus!... accompanied by a sensation of profound sadness, longing, and warmth? There was a brief vision of a dark-haired wizard flying towards him with a hand outstretched.OMG, was that Legilimancy? What an unexpected thing to happen! I'll bet it will be a long time before Severus Snape forgets that. I hope Mlle Bien-Aimée, err... Charmaine's parting remark was referring to the Legilimancy and not the kiss.Woo hoo! Excellent chapter, quaffs! Truly excellent. Beth
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
Thanks for your overwhelming review, Beth.
Madame Good Friend was obviously talking about the Legilimency, no? Good chapter, but angsty. ^_^
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
peut etre... and there's more to come.
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
*Peut-être! Darned computer wiped all the accents last time.
Yes, here we go. I can imagine Severus hid a lot of secrets during his tenure as a spy. Evidently Remus know the true him, even if the rest of the world did not.
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
This is the first longer piece I've written. I hope you'll enjoy it.
Interesting premise. I see you omitted the last few chapters of the travesty known as DH. Looking forward to the next chapters. ^_^
Response from quaffswinegaily (Author of A Man's Best Friend)
My instructions were to make anything prior to Remus' death canon, anything afterwards was up to me. I'm hoping it works.
Interesting beginning, I look forward to read more.
