So if I've read this right, Hermione still has a year and a half to go before she would be eligible to apply for the correspondence program and an apprenticeship with Severus.  I'd like to think that Minerva would allow her to become Severus' apprentice.  That would certainly make it easier for them to be together and for Hermione to complete her education at Cambridge while earning her Master of Potions.  I just about fell out of my chair when the doorman referred to Severus as Hermione's father.  I could completely understand why it would have given him pause and made him rethink what he was doing.  But I am delighted that he decided to go back and then found her.  Their playful way of showing their affections for each other is wonderful.  Keep up the good work.Beth

Poor Severus...he still has such insecurities to overcome.  It's probably difficult for him to remember the reassurance of their "rightness" when it's been months since he last saw Hermione and felt it.  And of course since he won't give Minerva or Albus any details about his personal life, they're more inquisitive than ever now!  How very Slytherin of him to invoke Minerva as an impetus for marriage!  Of course, Hermione's already said from the beginning that she wanted to be able to make things more permanent between them after she finished school.  Sev may not remember that, though, or he's just too paranoid that despite everything Hermione will "come to her senses" or some such nonsense and choose another.Looking forward to part two of the Yule vacation!

I've been concentrating so much on "A Ghost of a Chance" that I missed this one. So far I love the story. Keep up the good work. ^_^

I don't know if that sounded like a propsal or what but either way I hope she says yes.  If I get sick can I have Severus come over and take care of me? *Grins*  As for her doorman, that man needs a lesson in when to keep his mouth shut or at least know how to pry them out of his mouth lol

Sorry, no review for chapters one and two.  They were delightful, but it is so damn hard to stop and comment where there are more chapters to be devoured.  This is such a nice sweet version of Severus and with all of the angst going around lately, I'm eating this up.  I hope that her "what?" at the end didn't come off as a negative exclamation.  I'm sure it was in shock, but they are both so very fragile. If she can join him after two years, that seems so much easier to endure.  I hope they can make it with as little drama as possible.  This can just drip with sweetness, and romance, and fluff and nothing else if you'd like it to.  It is quite refreshing.  Looking forward to more.

Great flow between chapters.  I like the way you've portrayed them with their insecurities and confidence in each other.  Interesting twist with their shared and matching potions ingredients.  Looking forward to seeing how you weave those details into the story!

They really are perfect for each other.  I like the way you've written them, the way they think alike.  I had to laugh when Hermione began to undress him.  His only thought was that he had "died and gone to heaven."I wonder if they will ever have a reason to "stopper death?"  A part of me doesn't want them to face that kind of scenario after Voldemort and all, but then again it could make for a very interesting part of the story.  So long as there's a happy ending, I can survive it.Another great chapter, Jeannie!  Thanks.Beth

You write such beautiful, romantic tales...  I've been in the middle of a hot sweltering kitchen, and took a break to read some fanfic--and what do I find but another story from you to sit and relax with!  Oh happy day!  This'll get me by while I'm waiting to see what happens in your other one... I love how tender and moving their first encounters have been--the first hug, the first kiss, and now the first time together.  I feel warm and gooey now from reading it, like a chocolate sitting out in the sun!    A happy chocolate!  Thanks for sharing this with us!
