Much to his surprise, Severus has survived the war. Gravely injured and without any desire to recover, he thinks living may just not be worth the trouble. His nurse, an ex-student who wants to become a Mediwitch, will try anything to get him to see that it is.

Reviews for White Satin, Black Silk
Severus nad Hermione are definitely getting much closer than they have been. Ron is still completely oblivious, but Harry sees what's going on. And now Hermione is going to live with Severus; at least that's what I read it as. I'm hoping she comes to her senses soon about Ron and that she doesn't really want to marry him. I definitely noticed that the first person she ran to with her NEWT scores wasn't her fiance, it was Severus.

Mel dixit: I noticed that, too. Too bad Hermione didn't.
Brilliant update!

Mel dixit: Wait. Just wait.
So, she matched his scores did she. That's so typical.

WHOOHOOHOO!!! OH GOODIE.....I KNOW THEY BELONG TOGETHER, and can't wait to see what happens.....
Great chapter - what a cliffie to leave it on! I hope Hermione isn't going to be sneaking around behind Ron - you've made him too sweet!
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Thank you! Hice a Ron así porque aunque no es el adecuado para Hermione, tampoco es un troll. ¿Verdad?
LOL, too funny on her getting pissed and falling asleep in his bed! Can't wait to read about the morning after!
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: If I get drunk to I get to sleep with Snape?
Interesting on Hermione's engagement and then her confession of caring for him.
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: Conflicted, ain't she? Just wait...
Nice development to the story. So typical that he'd be scaring away all the students only to end up with the one he least wanted (or so he thought)!
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: Little does he know...
Nice start to the story. Love the unspoken challenge between Severus and Hermione - can't wait to read more and see what happens!
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: Me neither, and I've read through Ch 11...
Really neat! But did you have to make Ron so sweet?
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Ron no tiene la culpa de que Severus sea mejor... pobrecito, es tan tonto en tantos fics, que me dieron ganas de devolverle su buen nombre.
Oh, I hope he listens to that second voice. LOL. I do wish that Hermione breaks upwith Ron soon. I'm not much into her doing stuff behind his back. She's just getting to realize that she has feelings for Severus, though. That should be a red flag for her.
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: That girl wouldn't know a red flag if someone shoved it up her bum.
this story rocks my socks!

Thank you!
In this instance, I think that the the saying "A Dream Is a Wish Your Heart Makes" is sooooo true! One of the things that caught my attention was the "it's no big deal" attitude that Ron had when Hermione told him about having spent the night with Professor Snape. For her it had clearly been a moving and enjoyable experience, so much so that she even felt that thinking about it was a "guilty pleasure." But Ron just thought it was funny. I think he sees her as a good friend who values him and who will do whatever he wants her to do. As long as she confirms his own high opinions of himself, he will be happy. The difference in the two men are like night and day. Ron gave her "large, smacking kiss and handed her a box of chocolates." Severus gave her his personal research notes on the potions he has worked on for years. Severus not only shares her love of learning, he shared himself with her. When they were brewing in his lab and he had her sit in his lap so he could help her with her technique, I was hoping that they would find themselves sharing an acknowledgment of the feelings they inspire in each other. Perhaps it's too soon. But with the end of the school year approaching, I hope they will at least decide to stay in touch. Heck, I'd love it if they were to decide to stay together... to declare their attraction to each other.I'm not sure where the author will take this, but I do know that I will be eagerly waiting for each update!Beth

Thank you for your comment. Creo que has dado con el meollo del asunto: los dos son buenos, pero sólo uno es el adecuado para Hermione. Claro que todas sabemos quién es el hombre correcto para ella, ¿verdad?

Truth!
There are no words to describe how much fun I had reading this chapter. From the doofus way Ron described his Quiddtich career to Hermione finding Snape dressed in his signature black suit, SITTING in his wheelchair reading Oscar Wilde, I smiled my way through it all. The absolutely best part was when Snape and Hermione got back to the Hospital Wing and she collapsed beside him in his bed and refused to budge. I hope Minerva and Poppy will not make too big a deal of her "sleeping" with The Professor. LOL! ("A rat," he murmured. "A black, skinny rat.") In fact, I think they might just be willing to turn a blind eye. After all, they could just put Disillusionment Charms around Snape's cubicle and see how this plays out. I suppose they will have to address it in some fashion, but it's not as if the two of them aren't good for each other.I love this chapter!Beth
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: I loved the rat, too. Just the thought of a little cage in the headmistress's office, with a little wheel in it going round and round...
Holy Moly, the sexual tension could be cut with a Sectumsempra. Fabulous, dear.
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: You ain't seen nothin' yet.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! Update soon, Update soon!
Argh, what a place to stop a chapter! And now I have to wait again. *grumbles*Loved it!
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: I feel like that at the end of every single one.
Magic or no magic, he was still Severus fucking Snape.ROFL!
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
¡Esa es obra de Mel! No se puede usar el "fucking" así en castellano, ojalá se pudiera. Bravo por ella.
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel did that, and good for her! You can't use 'fucking' like that in Spanish--I wish you could.
Excellent chapter, and yay, I have two more to get caught up! *rushes to next one*
WOW I have read all the chapters in one sitting and can't wait for more, This is a wonderful story, and what an EVIL CLIFFHANGER to leave us with.....Looking forward to MORE...
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: One evil cliffie after another.
Ahhhh!!! that's where you break it? Juimel what a tease...
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: Isn't she, though?
This is the most evil cliffhanger in the world. I just want you to know that. That being said, I really enjoyed this chapter! The realization they each are having of the other, and yet neither one of them dares to believe that the other feels the same way; the buildup of worry over Hermione telling Ron about spending the night with Severus in the infirmary, only to have him find the idea hilarious; all of it was fun to read. Thanks again for translating this for people like me to read and enjoy--I hate to think that I'd have missed out on this otherwise!
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Mel dixit: I am having so much fun translating this! And I've read through Ch 11 in the Spanish version so, bwahahaha I know what's going to happen! Prepare to be hung off even more cliffs!
Poor Severus--first getting Hermione drunk, and now stuck with her asleep in his hospital bed. I'm reminded of a line from a sci-fi series called Babylon 5--"Why does the universe hate me?", which is probably very close to what Severus is thinking to himself right about now! Minerva should be more upset at Hermione than at Severus...after all, she's an adult now and it's her responsibility to know her own limits! Unfortunately, for first-time drinkers it usually takes an embarrassing incident like this (complete with vomiting) to give them an idea of what they shouldn't do. Hopefully Minerva will chalk it up to a necessary learning experience for Hermione (but I'm sure she'll still secretly delight and raking Severus over the coals a little, just to make him sweat).
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
You're right, she's an adult, but in Severus's eyes she's still little more than a girl, and he assumes he'll get the blame for the incident. After all, she's always been the perfect little miss, while he's been the loathsome Potions professor--who do you think they'll blame?
OMG! You can't just leave us hanging like this!!!But you did, so...UPDATE SOON, PLEASE!!! ;)
Response from junimel (Author of White Satin, Black Silk)
I just can't help to be like that...
