Much to his surprise, Severus has survived the war. Gravely injured and without any desire to recover, he thinks living may just not be worth the trouble. His nurse, an ex-student who wants to become a Mediwitch, will try anything to get him to see that it is.

OH my GOD! Someone STOP the bloody wedding!! AGGG! LOL.
Oh this is excellent. I think I'm gonna lose my marbles, though.
ahhh finally. A very good Chapter. Too bad she will have to break Ron's heart the day of the wedding.
I hope she sees reason now. How could she possibly marry Ron? :0
I suspect a lot will happen in this week before the wedding!
Yes Hermione 'since when do you call him Severus?' Ohh since when we snogged in the bedroom the other day, I so wish she would say that!!
This is such a wonderful story and I am so glad that it has been translated so I got the honor of reading it! The last scene in this chapter reminds me of "Gone With the Wind" when Scarlett watched as Ashley and Melanie went upstairs to their rooms for the night. I could hear Snape's heart breaking just as clearly as I heard Scarlett's break as well, so it is a favorable comparison! Great job to both you ladies!

I knew someone would get it! And it was you!
i envisioned Severus just reaching over the table and smacking Ron upside his head. it felt so right... lol
Oh dear. Not good, not good at all. Clearly she can't go through with the wedding, and Ron's realizing that he's got some stiff competition, but what next? I like your not-dunderhead Ron (because one does tend to grow up as time passes), with his realization that Hermione and Snape have got it going on... though thank god he doesn't know how much, yet. Can't wait for the next chapter, and yet I must! Tragedy, head to toe.
I was soooo disappointed when Ron came bounding out of the Floo. It was bound to happen though, more's the pity.
When Severus passed the salt cellar to Hermione, AND Ron noticed that the Potions Master had not even tasted his own food, well, lets just say I wanted to cheer! Ron is not stupid, but neither is he right for Hermione. I think at that moment Ron knew the jig was up but couldn't resist trying to reiterated his claim to her by toasting their wedding.
I was completely taken by surprise when Severus magic shattered the wine glass in Ron's hand and thrilled that Hermione instinctively ran to Severus for protection. Glad it wasn't lost on Ron.
When Ron dragged Hermione the stairs to her bedroom I thought that was pretty brassy, but the thing that got under my skin was the "self-satisfied smile" he gave Snape. Now I can't wait to find out how she answers his question: "Since when do you call him Severus?"
Oh I can't wait. C'mon, Hermione. Tell him the truth. And then go find Severus.
Another fabulous chapter!

You are absolutely KILLING me. Please, PLEASE let the twit have a moment of clarity and NOT doink the red headed wonder and in Severus' own home to boot. That would be unforgivable. Didn't she realize that Ron was taunting Severus? For someone who is so smart and who wants to go far in the wizarding world she sure is fast becoming the "little woman". ARGGGGHHH!
You are wonderful. UPDATE SOON!
I cracked up when Solicitor Robinson thought Hermione was Severus' daughter, and I laughed even harder when Severus told him she was not his daughter, BUT did not tell him anything else. Perfect Snape!
Introducing her to the house-elves as his friend was, I hoped, only the beginning of their relationship becoming closer. And YES! It was just the beginning step.
I wonder how long it will take them to realize that he had performed magic when he thwarted the boggart? Probably not until they at least finish kissing each other and realizing that the plan has changed.
I imagine that Severus will apologize and say that it was just a reaction to thinking for a moment that Bellatrix had returned... and Hermione will apologize and make some comment about her upcoming nuptuals... but we know better. They may tell themselves that for a while, but it might as well be 49 B.C. all over again–Caesar has crossed the Rubicon. And nothing will ever be the same again.
Love this chapter!
Beth
how perfectly you showed their relationship. the salt incident was telling. wonderful update. thanks and mucho smoochies
Hope she figures out what she really wants and acts on it soon. :)
Ah, angstarific. Someone needs to think things through. Very unlike the brightest witch of her age. She should know now what she needs to do.
I can't wait for the confrontation... there has to be one! I believe Severus will be the winner though!

And what if I'm a Ron fan? (As if such thing could exist)

Surely you jest... ;)
Ooooooooooo, Poor dear Severus, Why in the world did RON show up, I can't stand him, he is a prat...Please let Hermione tell him she no longer wants to be with him, She saw exactly how Severus felt about her....Aarrgghh!!! WELL DONE!! I LOVE IT!! Can't wait for more!
Finally!
Love the angst!! The dance scene was perfect! I can't wait to see what happens when they get to Severus' house!
Hehe... great chapter! I wonder what the morning will bring? :)
Foolish girl. Not bad for Ron though, to be able to finally rub the salt into Severus' wound.
oh poor Severus....
this is getting good!!
Oh, how gutwrenching. Ooohh, this is gonna get nasty if she breaks it off (presuming she will, of course)--its bad enough to break on an engagement, but kinda messy to do it days before. Get ready for some weasley wrath and smug Snape--I hope??????
I have a feeling that a really nasty fight is about break out between Ron and Hermione over Severus. I hope she breaks off the engagement, since she finally realized that it's Severus she should be with.
Gods! Poor Severus. How can he just walk away.\? His heart must be shattering just like the wine glass.
Ohh, this is gonna be good! I am enjoying this. Stupid Ron! Get outta the way! Poor Snape.
