You have punchy, vivid dialogue--let it speak for itself. Constant descriptive speech verbs can be intrusive to the flow of narrative. Great chapter, livvy!

Severus' knee-jerk reaction is to be expected because he had been betrayed by those he trusted, like Lily and Dumbledore.  Gryffindors don't have a good track record in his book.  However, Hermione has shown to be trustworthy and forgiving.  Severus has a lot of ass-kissing to do now.  Fabulous chapter, Livvy!  Go Team Venus.

Ouch! Ron made a complete arse of himself, but, then again, his chances of winning against Severus weren't much better than that of a firefly taking on a Hungarian Horntail.Severus, on the other hand, is going to have to do some swift and serious damage control if he wants to emerge from the mess he created with all of his favorite body parts intact and in good working order... especially now that he knows that Hermione isn't exactly averse to exploring her sensual side with him.
