Reviews for Ripple Effect
Glad Neville has some backbone and self-esteem in this. Thanks to Hermione, evidently!
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I thought it was the perfect way to explain what seems to us when reading the books to be a sudden transformation. :DI'm glad you liked it! And thank you for reviewing!~jtbjab
I really like Neville. Very cool.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Glad you thought it was cool and thank you for reviewing! ~jtbjab
"Nobody liked the idea of their bones slowly dissolving." Good grief, I should think not! Luna and Ginny are a great deal more devious than I thought. It's wonderful to actually see the changes in Neville. He's made a choice to fight and realizes he can make a difference! Go, Neville! I love that he stood up to Ginny about his decision concerning the coin. They are both growing up fast. I do hope the other Death Eaters and their kinder aren't noticing the protectiveness of Snape. That would be dangerous. He's walking such a fine line!
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Hehehe... the idea of bones dissolving made me shudder when I first wrote it... but it's definitely more of a deterrant then 'sneak' lol.Thank you for leaving such an awesome comprehensive review! I'm glad you liked how I wrote Neville, he was definitely a lot of fun! :D
So it was just a dream? That explains things a little better.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Dreams are mysterious things, really...Thank you for reviewing!~jtbjab
I think Neville is under utilized and I am glad to see his presence here. This chapter is starting to tie things together and makes me want to know what happens next. Keep up the great work!
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I felt the same way... and this was a perfect time to explore his role a little more :DThank you for reviewing!
Good chapter. I like the Neville point of view. I'm still trying to tie all three chapters together in my mind. I look forward to seeing how it all connects.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I'm glad you liked the chapter and Neville's pov... I always feel he's a little underused- I'm guilty there too, lol.I hope the future chapters will help you see how everything connects! And thank you for reviewing!
Great Neville-centric chapter. It good to see maturity and bravery in the young man. Snape still walks a fine line between protecting his students and being discovered as a traitor. How stressful. Nice continuation.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I'm glad you liked my continuation and my Neville-centric chapter :D it was definitely fun to write :DThank you for reviewing and I hope you continue to enjoy our story!~jtbjab
A very good chapter. I feel this one is starting to tie the threads of the story together more strongly. I look forward to next week, especially since I hope the messages between Hermione and Neville will be included at least a bit.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I'm not sure if you will get to see any of the messages but I have passed on that there is a wish to read them :DI'm glad you liked the chapter and can see the ties linking the chapters of our story together :D Thank you for reviewing!
Good job tying the chapters together. It's beginning to make a little more sense.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I'm glad you think so :D and I'm sure the future chapters will continue to expand on these!Thank you for reviewing!~jtbjab
Good to see Neville standing up for himself! :)
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I thought it was about time he did so :DThank you for reviewing!~ jtbjab
I'm looking forward to the next chapter to hopefully link things between chapter 1 and 2 together a bit more; I thought that 1 took place during DH, so unless there's been a time gap between 1 and 2, I'm a bit confused as to the calm encounter between Severus and Hermione at this point when they should be incommunicado and ostensibly on different sides of a war.I'm intrigued to see what's going on with Hermione; re-living past lives seems to be just the sort of thing she would think is Divination-type nonsense, lol. ;)
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
i am a bit puzzled why everyone wanted chapter 1 and chapter 2 linked immediately. why can you not write a story with two threads coming together?but thank you for the review
Response from phoenix writing (Reviewer)
I think we're just curious readers who ask lots of questions and try to forge links within a story; as yet, we have separate pieces that don't seem to connect, and so we're puzzling on how they will do. But that's why I said I was looking forward to seeing how things will come together--and wanting it to happen quickly just means I'm impatient for more, lol. :D
Hmmm... so Hermione hasn't yet joined Harry and Ron in their quest to rid the world of Voldemort. Velly intellesting... Is there a Time Turner in her future, perhaps?
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
i don't know who she has joined or if there is a time turner in her future.thanks for the review
Ohhh, interesting :) I liked the way that you went through all of those people's different experiences with the gun...
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
thank you for the positive review and commenting on the story in itself.thanks
oh wow, i have no idea how that fits into the last chapter, but i love it!
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
It weaves into the story later on.Thanks for the review. Much appreciated.
I enjoyed this chapter very much, clever writing and descriptions. Makes the imagery rock. I do have a question about the linking of this to the first chapter. Is the end of the chapter in the current time that the first one took place in? Just making sure I'm understanding right. Is Slughorn smuggling guns somehow? Hehehe GunSlingingSlughorn... ahahahaha
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
thank you so very much for the review. there was a mistake at the end, but that was through not knowing cannon as I have not read anything past book2.But I am glad that you liked the story.
I'm sorry to say I'm a bit confused. The chapter is great and the different jumps in the past are well done. But I can't find a link with the previous chapter unless there is none witch would be fine with me.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
sorry about the confusion, truly chapter two does not have to have an immediate relationship to chapter one. two different threads start off and complete the weave to make a story interesting.thanks for the review
Amazing! I always thought they should have trained Harry with a long range rifle to take out Voldie :)
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
thank you, what can I say?
I liked the backwards progression to the origins of gunpowder. Very poignant, and very cleverly tied together with the repeated "Bang." Great descriptions!
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
thank you so very much for the nice review. one of the few people who have not tried to immediately tie the two chapters together.thank you once again.
Excellent beginning, I love this glimpse of what was happening when we were stuck inside that bloody tent with the trio. It's nice to see Snape asserting himself in every way he can to ensure the student's safety. Looking forward to more of this story ...
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you! There's so much that can be done in the DH era since the book focused so intently on the trio, and I love experimenting with what Snape was like while living in such extreme duplicity.
Hello, that's such a cool opening. I love the way Severus checks up on the DA and does his best to stop Slughorn.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you! Snape really had his work cut out for him with this crew!
A little confused here, but still that was cool.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I am not sure about the confusion! but thanks for the review. I am glad that you liked it.
That was interesting. I didn't really see the connection with the previous chapter - but I guess all will be revealed as the story progresses.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
thank you for the review. Yeah that was the idea. More will be revealed as the story progresses.
Wow, This is getting complicated. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you very much. All will be revealed.
Very interesting and original. I am wondering how you will pull it all together. an intriguiing chapter, this, with a neat little twist of the elixir of death. Looking forward to y'all fitting it all together.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you very much. It will be tied together later in the story.
whoa, that was deep. More, please.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you so very much. Really appreicate the encouragement.
