Reviews for Ripple Effect
Whoa... I'm leaving a review simply because this is different from the others. Worth to review for...
Interesting dream of Trelawney's. Maybe Luna will figure out that there was a bit of truth in between the snake lopping.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Depends on how far the other authors take it =) Thank you for the review =)
Interesting... Leave it to Luna to be able to enter people's dreams. Trelawney's dream was funny. I'd expect nothing normal from her. This is a fun story. I'm never sure where it is going to go each week, but you have tied previous chapters together nicely with this one.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Trelawney's dream was born from one of my own, and I have crazy dreams all of the time =) Thank you for the review =)
Professor Trelawney can only predict the future when she's totally unaware of what she's doing! Dreams or in-a-trance prophecies and she's on the money. Awake, she's useless! I love Luna as a dream-walker and her accidentally causing Hermione's dream of a past life regression. Poor Luna is bound to be trumatized before this is all over!
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I love Luna as a dream-walker too =) Makes her (perceived) spaciness have a purpose =) And Luna's a strong girl, she can handle it =) Thank you for the review =)
So everything in this story is dreams? Everything? Wow.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Not everything. Only a few chapters so far. I can't wait to see what the others come up with =) Thank you for the review =)
Luna on peyote is a scary thought.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Not as scary as, say, Trelawney on peyote. Now that would be scary.Thank you for the review =)
So it's now tying together. The guns are back again. :) Thanks for the new chapter.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Can't wait to see what the other players come up with =) Thank you for the review =)
Well, now it's starting to come together a little. I'm glad to see Luna figure into things.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Luna is a great character for helping things move along. It's far more believable that she's a dream-walker instead of Ginny.Thank you for the review =)
Still a good mystery, since I don't know where this story is going. Loved Luna puking on Trelawney's shoes.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Gotta give a little humor to make the dark not seem so dark =) Thank you for the review =)
Love Sybill's dream/vision. :)
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you =)I actually had that as a dream before I wrote this chapter.
i'm very interested to see where this story goes.
i have to say, the idea of the bone-dissolving charm is rather gruesome to connect with luna - she always seemed a bit innocent to me, so it is rather shocking. i suppose it's life during wartime having its effect on people.
very interesting chapter. i liked how you delineated the commonality of all the misery, and the irony that instead of the elixir of life, he'd invented death made easy.
How exciting. I always felt bad that book seven didn't dwell enough on what was going on at the school while HRH were about their dreadful business. Thanks for filling in the gaps.
I really like how you've pictured Neville.
Good work.
I'm glad you've somewhat manage to connect the first two chapter together because they were a bit confusing. I do hope you lot know where you're going because I'm following, and I'd hate to lose my path.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you so much for your review :D And I'm glad you recognised my effort in linking the first 2 chapters. However, I can make no promise of what will be occuring in the future chapters... I only hope it doesn't cause you to lose your path :D
Oooh good for Luna, terrible times occasionally call for ruthlessness. A very interesting chapter. this story runs its own original path. I like it.Nice to see Neville here, not a character we see a lot of in cannon.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I did feel that both Neville and Ginny are relegated to the bench far too often both in canon and in fanfic. Although generally I don't like GW but I think that does have more to do with what the films did to her than anything else, lol.But I definitely felt the need to get Neville out there, and linking in with what happened to him in chapter 1 was my first way to get him in the lime light.Thank you for reviewing!
I like how each chapter focuses on a different character, leaving the reader to wonder how it will all connect. I like seeing how the change in Neville took place and some of the "connections" are becoming more apparent.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
I really wanted to expand on what was started in the first chapter and also felt it was a wonderful time to help show Neville in his development into the Nagini killing wizard!I'm glad you're seeing at least some of the connections :DThank you so much for reviewing!
Your use of imagery and travelling from consciousness to consciousness was very interesting. I'm curious to see how it all ties in with the first chapter.
It was interesting to see so many different POVs in this chapter, a wider glimpse into such an interesting time at Hogwarts. I'm curious as to the decision to have Ginny in the first person (unless it's not actually Ginny, of course), but I liked all the insights.Bone dissolving charm. And she's using "Stupefy" in the duels, lol. You don't want to mess with Gin. :DA wee correction. I believe it should be "reply to an old friend's query" with an apostrophe in there.I'm interested to see what happens with Hermione's possibly-prophetic dreams and the silence of the Death Eaters. Looking forward to more. ^_^
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
It is Ginny... I wanted to have a bit of her in first person to really get in to how she felt with Neville growing up. Rather than just commenting on it from what Neville is doing. It also meant that it laid open the option in future chapters to develop her character more, and help her mature! And never underestimate a Weasley! Lol!I will double check that correction ;p thanks. And thank you so much for taking the time to review!
I'm not sure I know what to think of this story. I liked chapter one, but I don't know what to think about chapter two or this chapter. I guess I'll have to keep reading to see where it all goes.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you for reviewing even if you're not sure what to make of it all.I've done my best to link in with what happened to Neville in chapter 1... and I'm sure my fellow team mates will do their best to link through with the future chapters :D
Wow. I love where this story is going. This chapter was really very good. I really liked the Neville interaction.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you for this wonderful review! *beams* I'm glad you love where this is going and I hope you continue to do so :DI loved writing Neville and I think it's inspired me to use him more in my own writing, as I feel I've neglected him too much there, lol. Thanks again!
This chapter was great for moving things along. I can't wait to see what happens next. Much Love ~ Brena
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you for reviewing :DI hope you continue to enjoy this story!
I really love the use of the Galleons. Neville is really growing up and its good that Hermione is encouraging his as well. I laughed when he stood up to GInny, but her reminiss about it was good.
Response from Jupiter (Author of Ripple Effect)
Thank you for reviewing!I was struggling for an idea to get Hermione involved somehow and the Galleons did seem like the perfect choice! :D I'm glad you loved it!And when I first started writing that scene I couldn't stop smiling at the thought of Neville knocking the wind out of Ginny's sails! Lol!~jtbjab
I like the premis of this. Great update x
