Sometimes writing, nearly always beta reading, I love to unwind after work by reading fanfiction.
Reviews for Antidotes
Order of Merlin... and house arrest. What a combination. LOL. I like the set up: the dream-state conversations, learning how her power was being drained, the efforts being all hated slytherins to save her, and especially the whole synergy aspect. Very well done.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. I was pretty pleased with the combo myself ;) Thank you for your thoughtful review!
This wonderful story definitely rates as one of my Favorites, it was simply, well... magical. And the ending was perfect. Not that I wouldn't mind a companion piece or two involving marriage and a Snapelet or two! Have I mentioned how much I absolutely loved 'Antidotes'? If not, let me now say: LOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!!!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Wow, thank you so very much! I love to use a lot of magic in these stories. Your review makes me so happy! This Hermione isn't speaking to me anymore, though. I'm trying to put together another chapter of Head Girl Curse...
I think there is a problem wih my screen. The part mentionning wedding and babies is missing. I can't find it ;p.
I also didn't quite catch the last lines. Probably lack of sleep but would you mind enlightening me? Please?
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Oh, I think they agreed on wedding and babies in the previous chapter ;) The last paragraph was just my subtle way of saying that they got together. Thanks for your reviews!
Awwww!! It coulw have ended just like how serene and peaceful the scene was. Of coyrse I'm more than thrilled to ha ve a bit more (especially since there is no waiting time)
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. I'm glad that you like the ending :)
Yes! Excellent ending to a fantastic story! This has been such a joy to read the last few months. I've said it before, and I'll probably say it again, but Ron Weasley is a prat the size of an elephant! I'm so glad that Hermione chose Severus! :D
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks so much! I know I'm kinda mean to poor Ron, but he does seem to deserve it sometimes, doesn't he ;)Thank you!
...and they lived happily ever after. The End.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)

Thank you for such a wonderful story of love and acceptance the each character experienced in one way or another. The love that Severus and Hermione have will carry them for all of their lives. I can imagine them in coming years telling their grandchildren about "How I met your grandmother..."Marvelous writing, Merrin!Beth

I have looked forward to each of your reviews. A thoughtful review is such a precious gift, and I am honored. I just made you a friend on LJ! Thanks a million!

Thanks. Friended you back!
You wrote such a beautiful description of the unicorns' acceptance of Hermione's plea to help her. The love and the purest passion of which these magical creatures are capable was freely given to restore her to life.I love the way Severus stayed with her to keep her anchored to life while her body and soul and magic were separated to allow the offering of the Unicorn's blood to drive the Dark Curse from her and to heal her.I think being able to see the synergy between Narcissa and Lucius helped Hermione to focus on being with Severus until her aura was anchored and her magic was restored, and then she was able to return to her body and know that she was "safe in his arms and secure in his love."Beautiful! Thank you.Beth
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thank you! I wrote this entire chapter in one sitting the night before the deadline, and that little poem in there about the unicorns demanded to be written in present tense like that, and I'm glad to hear that the scene came across with the beauty I'd envisioned.I also wanted the aura thing to be very important to the ending, and of course, Severus. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!
That was quite lovely, and I'm glad they found each other. Well, Ron will just need to get over it.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
LOL! Poor Ron. Well, I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Thanks for all the reviews!
I really enjoyed this story, Merrin, especially the spiritual aspects of it. As you know, I'm into that stuff!Beautiful. And I can think of no better way to separate Hermione from the Unicorns than with the help of Severus Snape!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. It makes me so happy all over again to read your review. So glad the ending worked for you ;)
Wonderful story, absolutely wonderful!!!!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks so much for sticking with me and reviewing!
Lovely story, Merrin. I hope you continue to indulge in longer fics.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement. I'm hoping for more longer fics, too!
That was... well, magical! It was lovely to see such closeness between them during the healing. I'm glad it worked.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. I love when HP stories are really full of magic, and I love giving Severus a chance to have true closeness. I'm glad you liked it!
I love the image of the tree to bring Severus' life back full circle, except that now the witch beside him accepts him for all of him. Fantastic story.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. The tree had been so important earlier in the story that I wanted to include it here. I'm so glad that it resonated with you. Thanks so much!
I really loved your comparison of the Malfoys to the unicorns. Both so magical and powerful and committed to the other. Good thing Hermione had such powerful people on her side.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. In a lot of ways they are polar opposites, but I couldn't help but see the similarity in their commitment to each other.
Fantastic story! I just loved Severus in this story and his relationship with Hermione, as well as with the Malfoys.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks so much. Relationships like this are so much fun to write! :)
Lovely!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks for all the reviews and stars :)
I love the way you make Lucius and Narcissa just a perfect pair!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. Whatever else they might be, they are certainly perfect for each other.
I'm surprised she confided so much in Narcissa. Of course with Ginny and her mother away, she's short of feminine ear's, and I guess Narcissa is more suitable than Minerva. I just hope the curse she's been hit with is not too bad.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks. I had a lot of fun writing this dynamic between Hermione and Narcissa. More about the curse in the next chapter ;)
*happy dance* He kissed her!! I can't believe it. Of course it's in dream but still... HE KISSED HER !!!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Woot! IMHO, that's definitely dance worthy. Thanks.
The last two lines were absolutely perfect.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Aww, thanks. I just got the last chapter back from my beta, so I should be posting it within the next day or two.
