Sometimes writing, nearly always beta reading, I love to unwind after work by reading fanfiction.

Merrrin I really enjoyed this . I haven't read to many fics lately as I've even writing so much. It was a wonderful few hours . Thanks for sharing this.
Beautiful chapter! Really some wonderful descriptions to make it all so picturesque. I like that Narcisa and Licius are part of this and are so much for Severus.
Loving their times curled up in Severus' bed. Wonderful warm interactions.
Really a wonderful story. The the aurora thing. It's good that Severus woke remembering the dreams. I love it when he's. It so acidic. Sorry I'm. It getting each. Chapter reviewed I'm to excited to move on I hate that it's ending soon. I had to force myself to back up and leave the review lol
Very nice I am really enjoying this story I'm looking forward to the next chapter. I'm happy to find a story I don't remember reading before :)

Lovely story ! Thank you for sharing !
This is a really lovely story. I especially enjoyed the tone of it -- I wish I could explain it better than that, but I'm not sure how to describe it. Thank you!

Thank you! I'm more proud of this story than anything else I've ever written, so it always thrills me to share it with a new friend.

Thanks! Glad Fred and George love it!
Yes, I'm a fan of Bambu's "Saving a Death Eater" too. Your story is rich in beautiful imagery, "She handed Hermione a scrap of parchment. “This mushroom is best if you can get it from a Fairy Ring. You’ll find the best moss growing on a willow. Remove it right with the bark. And, of course, the unicorn hair.” Also, the part about the same stream feeding the willow and the unicorns was beautiful. Why do I feel like Ron just lied through his teeth about his experience with Lavender? Maybe he told the truth but I really suspect he didn't. A man that would leave when times are hard wouldn't have any trouble lying if it served his purpose. Also, I really like the friendship spring up between Narcissa and Hermione. She's always had trouble making friends and Narcissa will accept her as she is even if it is for an ulterior motive. I agree with her motivation. ;D

Thanks! What became this story was conceived in my mind the moment I read Bambu's story. The unicorns became a little motif that I could not escape from, and embracing them gave me some of my favorite moments as well in this chapter and the last. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the imagery; I'll carry that positive feeling with me all day.I enjoyed writing about Hermione and Narcissa. I felt that both women had spent a harrowing year trying to keep the men they loved in different ways safe. With that accomplished, they now had a common goal in Severus, and I think that kind of compassion can bring even two very different people together.
I like how you've made Madam Pomfrey a Slytherin Head Girl. It's nice to see someone I might not think of as Slytherin. It's also nice to see Professor Snape get the caring attention of friends/family. He needs it.

Thanks. It is a moment that surprises so many people, and it surprised me, too. It seems that sometimes Pomfrey and Severus are two misunderstood characters. I love to see him being cared for.
I've always been bothered by the Trio's lack of care toward their professor in this scene. Even though they thought he was a DE, I was disappointed by what happened. I'm glad you'll be fixing that "Little" problem.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks! The evening I read the book, I couldn't even sleep until I'd written the drabble, "Prepared?" because I couldn't just leave it with Hermione not rescuing her prince. Of course, it didn't take me very long to want to write a longer story.
WriterMerrin, this is one of the most beautiful stories I've ever read. I'll go back shortly and review each chapter, but I was greedy about reading each chapter. I'm not surprised so many of us made this a favorite story, it's truly beautiful.

Thank you again for all of the thoughtful reviews. You've made this rainy day a sunny one for me.
You've written a wonderful story and your exchange recipient is a lucky fangirl. There are many things I've enjoyed about the story but this one line is so powerful: “Oh, Hermione.” His voice was tinged with awe. “If we come to love each other some day, death itself would not be able to stop it.”It gave me chills to read it. I'm in awe, I can't wait to read the next chapter. This is going onto my favorites list. Thanks for the wonderful story.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thank you so much. I feel that it is a key moment in the story, so I'm especially glad that it resonated with you.
It wasn’t in the study of essays, letters, or sonnets that she would gain insight into that unutterable magic. It was the way she knew when to argue and when to listen. It was kissing him even though he had morning breath. It was accepting his friends and standing by him even when the world didn’t know what to do with him.
Lovedthat!
When the Prophet had announced that he was alive, her friends had figured out that her speech to the unicorns had referred to him. Ron had apparently turned uncomplimentary shades of red and green.LOL-that's more like it!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks so much! It's always awesome to know which lines in a story work, and I wanted very much for Severus to sum up the ways he knew she truly loved him.
Surprised Ron didnt blow a gasket when Hermione came to her senses and dumped the prat.
I like - love - the magic that Narcissa explains.
I don't understand why Lucius is behaving like the war didnt happen and that nobody is treating him with mistrust.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Well, the way I see it, he was becoming less and less enchanted by Hermione as the days went on, so he didn't feel it was as big a loss as he would have were it not for the circumstances. As for Lucius, I imagine that outside of the protection of the Dungeons, he is still rather universally mistrusted. Hermione is too concerned with Severus and under his influence to worry about it... Well, the story was written in answer to a prompt, and the giftee wanted Lucius to be the hero of the story, so he is.Glad you like the Narcissa stuff.
That was incredibly beautiful. A sincere and moving love story on the purest level. When she was in the mist, I thought she had died and Severus' lifetime had came and went when he found her. It definately turned on the waterworks!
This is really good! Im so glad I 'narrowed' my search options, which multiplied them tenfold else I wouldn't have come across this. And Bambu's story 'Saving a Death Eater is next on the list so, Double Thank you.
Well, I was truly aggravated with JKR for the lack of a real epilogue to the aftermath. I could see her point, in a way. Thank you for providing something close to what was left out. This has an exciting start!
Yay, WriterMerrin! Fabulous story with a lovely ending. We all know SS and HG belong together, but to 'see' the metaphysical (?) manifestation of the aura made your story special. And of course the love story aspect was beautiful, too. They save each other. Aww. Well done. Take a bow!
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thank you so much. You made my day twice!
That was very beautiful, moving to a satisfying end. You have a vivid imagination and your writing easily translates that. Can't wait to read the epilogue.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thank you very much. The process of writing this story was so amazing, and I'm thrilled that you felt it.
Very nice, I really likes the 'couple' aspect. Two unicorns working together, The Malfoy's as well as Severus and Hermione. Nice underscore to the theme of 'Love being the most powerful magic of all.'.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Antidotes)
Thanks so much! You know I'm just a romantic. I'm so glad that you picked up on all of that.
