I adore the world of HP.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to stir my cauldron.
Reviews for The Mutual Deal
I have generally found that it is much easier to convience yourself of some falsehood than it is to convience an objective observer.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
I agree. Sometimes I don't see something that's right there either.
This only gets better and better Ms Southern. Please please keep it coming. I may love this pairing even more after you finish this story.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Thanks, dearie!! I'm glad you like it!
“You purposely snogged me in front of Snape?”HA HA HA! I love that! Oh, if only she was going to wind-up with Snapey in this little fic. *sigh* LOL!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
me too! maybe draco should meet his doom eh? lol
But what are Draco's feelings?? Is he just "pretending to care"? Yipes! And what if he tells Lucius that this is just for "show" to benefit the Malfoys' post-war reputation, and Ron-Harry-Hermione believe it? Ooh, I need more chapters.... Get back to your keyboard!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
He'll "think" on it in the next chapter. hehe We'll see what Lucius says next.
Well, I know I am on tender hooks waiting for Lucius to find out! And, I do want to see what happens if Draco ever gets in Hermione's room...;) Can't wait to see what happens next!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
teeeheee.. We'll see a letter from him in the next chapter. ~snicker~ Draco's wanting into some knickers, methinks
another great chapter. hurray more more more..
what was his purpose for coming to her room. just a nightly inspection, talking or more cuddling..

Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
thanks, doll. i'm about done with my luring chapter, so I'll jump back on this! I think he was wanting to do some snogging... or some shagging. lol
excellent chapter. i think you are turning me into a draco/hermione ship fan. especially with this story. very believable. I'm with Christy's notes. but you are the author so you would know what his full intentions are.. or is he just as surprised as her even though he is a bit more experienced in the lust portion?
Is this already a complete story? Where's the rest of it?
P
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Yes, it is completed. I used to have it at my site, but I took it down. I'm reworking it, so it's a bit different. The next chapter, in fact, is completely new. I had skipped forward a week, but I've decided to add some of that week in to show some of how their relationship progresses.
I am very happy that you like this story! This was the ship I liked before I found SS/HG. Thanks for reading, doll.
Sun
excellent chapter
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
thanks! glad you are reading!
It occurs to me that the question that Hermione should be asking herself is 'Why didn't Draco take the Dark Mark in the year that they were out of school before Voldemort was dispatched?' I think that if she could find out the answer to that question she would be able to come to the reality that he has really changed. And it is really easy to try and listen to your head at the beginning of a relationship, but eventually the heart is louder and it shut out the brain or it is complicitious in changing its mind.
Hermione and Harry should both remember that despite what a person project of their personality to the outside world there is always someone else that lurks beneath the surface that is only seen by those closest to them. Draco would be that way.
It would not surprise me if Draco fell for Hermione. There is something about having someone who is good and pure in his life that would be very appealing to Draco. Or at lease it seems that way to me. -- B
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
She's going to start thinking of his as "Draco" instead of "Malfoy" soon enough. I guess after so many years of bickering and mistrust, it's hard to let go of it.
I definitely agree. People are different sometimes in public than they are at home. I think this Draco is exactly who he wants to be, but he simply never felt comfortable showing that side of himself.
More up soon. Thanks!
ARGH!!!! That was just juicy enough that I feel like pouting when I reached the end of the chapter! More, dern it, I need more! I hope you update soon. I love this story!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
LOL! Thank you! I'm happy that you are enjoying it.
Please update soon. This is one of the best stories I've read of this pairing! Bravo!!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Thank you. I'm happy that you are enjoying it. :)
Lucius' solution to Draco and Hermione's relationship is very typical. If I had to guess what the gift was that Draco's father helped him pick out I would bet it is an engagement ring. If Draco is looking to stake a real claim to Hermione and show her his intentions on being a one woman man, then that seems to be the most logical place to start. And all Hermione has to do is listen to her heart, telling her that she loves him and engaged does not mean you can't take your time for the wedding, and not her head, telling her that it is all happening too soon. Somethings are just meant to be and no set amount of time is needed to decide. My parents first noticed each other in Nov of 73 and got married in Mar of 74, they are still together. You never know all of the quirky peccadillo's of your partner till after you are married/living together no matter how long you date. Great chapter -- B
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
You are quite correct and have worded things perfectly. :) My husband asked me to marry him early on in our "courting" as well. And definitely, I'm still finding out stuff about him nearly ten years later....lol)
ok girly needs to learn that fellatio is not a bad thing
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
I agree. She's going to get passed that and realize it's not so bad. :)
Hmmm... yes, that is a bit soon for wedding bells. What's Lucius got up his sleeve?
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Lucuis has wedding bells up his sleeves. Hahahaha
Hmm... big feet, eh? I hope they're wide, too. (Heh... gotta tell myself to stop living vicariously through Pansy.)
Great chapter. I am glad Draco is learning to respect Hermione. Too bad she left, though.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Indeed! Big other things ... That's always a nice extra, eh? Hermione will get better--eventually. There is really only one sort of "angsty" chapter.
I am beginning to think that if Hermione keeps thinking this way, keeps trying to talk herself out of liking Draco, that she will end up hurting Draco's feelings. I am still suspicious, though... (I just realized I am commenting on story line) if Hermione "gives in," will Draco feel he has conquered something and revert back to his "old" self? LOL
Now, for the "real" part of the review: I love the way you tell a story. It flows from you so effortlessly.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Man, you are quite right about the hurting his feelings thing. Excellent, my little detective. hehe! Put it this way, if she would "hurt" him, he'd be quite snide and revert back, yes. :) Awww, thank you. You're so kind.
I know this is going to betray the fact that I am terribly behind in this story. Still, I don't care! You deserve a review!
I think I'm falling for Draco. I don't think you made him too mushy... In fact, I think you have your readers wondering if this is actually an act or not. And, if it's not an act, is Hermione changing him? Will the 'true' Draco come out? LOL I am halfway through the next chapter on my Tungsten, and I had to log onto the main computer to leave this review. Now, I'm going back to my reading...
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
hahaha! That's all right. I like Draco in this story. He's a doll, and he doesn't even realize it--not right away, but he shall. Happy reading! I hope you continue to like him.
Lucius, the man you love to hate...damn snob. Still interesting to see how Draco got along with her parents. Looking forward to the next part.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
We'll see an interesting side to Lucius later. (He's always so damn smug!) Glad you're still enjoying!
What's the present? Will you tell me? Can I have it now? Can I open it?Great chapter, how are they going to cope for a week? Give the parents a sleeping draught. Can't wait till the next update. Brilliant.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
LOL! Yeah, nothing wrong with a little tumble after the parents go to sleep. Muahahaa... Would you believe that my husband was in his late 30s, and I was 22 when we first began seeing each other. His mum made us sleep in seperate rooms for a while, and after that, we had to leave the door open. heheThe present is... well, I guess I can tell you. It's a ring. Lucy did some serious pushing.
LOL, I knew Lucius had to get in there at some point and say something. God I hate arrogant people, but for some reason I love Lucius'. Gee, I wonder why?Okay, where's the next chapter. I'm dying to know what happens if they decide to have Christmas dinner at the Malfoy's.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
I know exactly what you mean. There's just something about Lucius. I'm gonna go work on the next chapter now. It needs a bit of fixing. LOL... They will go to the Malfoys--eventually.
YAY! I think she needs to give in and just let being in love take it's course who cares that he screwed up. You made my weekend by updating this, thank you Ms Southern.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Awww! Glad to hear it! She's going to let it flow, and Lavender will fade from her mind. :)
Hmm, so Lucius says Hermione can come to Christmas dinner - but not her parents. So much for making a nice impression on Draco's in-laws! Unless all that - plus rushing Hermione into marriage - is part of Lucius' plan to break up Draco and Hermione? Thanks for the update - so where's the next chapter???
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Yep, he's not too into Muggles. Rude, huh? No, he really wants them to marry now. I'll have more on that when they go to the Malfoys. In his mind, he's thinking that Draco is being sneaky by getting Potter's best mate to date him, and Potter is the Wizarding world's man. :) I have a dinner later on, and her "clout" comes in handy. Snicker!
I enjoyed this chapter. It seems they are getting closer. I hope Hermione will be able to get what she seen Lavender doing out of her head, although I have to admit that it would be very hard to do. I don't think she should rush into things, either! Can't wait for more!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
It'll slip away. I promise! hehe I'm gonna go edit the next one. It needs a bit of work with the plot. :)
More soon please.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of The Mutual Deal)
Thanks! It's up now. Hope you like.
