Hi, mates.

I just wanted to let you know that most of the admins are going to be out of town (at Portus), so that will only leave one or two working the site. However, as life goes, they have other things going on as well.

Updates may take a little longer than usual.

Sorry about that! We'll make it up to you somehow.

June Stats at TPP

Hi there!

Summertime is always a good time for pleasure reading, usually anyway, so come check out all the great new stories you may have missed.

This past month there have been 203 stories added to our submissions queue, Validated Authors have uploaded 69 stories, and of those, 87 of them were new stories rather than WIP updates, and 96 stories have been marked as complete. That means that the site now has 4222 stories (3514 completed) total for you to read through.

We gained 353 new members in June. Welcome, all.

Slow Updates

I must apologize for the way queue has slowed down, but most of the admins suddenly have RL issues to deal with, and NotSoSaintly is on vacation at the moment. Add to that the fact that there is an upcoming US holiday in a couple of days, please understand why some things aren't going through as quickly as normal.

Sorry about this, mates! Soon we'll be back to normal (I hope!).

NOTICE ANYTHING DIFFERENT?

Whew! I thought I would never be able to do it, but I finally did. You will all notice that there are now two (2) recent stories areas on the front page: one for fanfiction and the other for original stories and poetry. Take your pick; see what else your favorite authors are writing. With the two sections separated, the original fics will no longer get lost in the wonderful multitudes of fanfiction.

I have also rotated the stories and the quote in the Featured area. I hope you enjoy the stories I have chosen. Each is wonderful in its own way; something for everyone.

If anyone notices a glitch happening because of the splitting of recent stories, holler loudly and I'll come put the fire out.

A Big Welcome to Phoenix!

I am bouncing with happiness right now because I have taken on yet another admin.  Everyone, please give a big welcome to Phoenix.  Her beta skills are awesome, her writing is awesome, and she will make an awesome addition as an admin on The Petulant Poetess.

Having four admins now maintaining the submissions blows my mind.  The site has grown so much since its humble beginnings.  There have been so many wonderful authors submitting stories, and I am so lucky to have found Southern_Witch_69 (my Deputy Headmistress), Cocoachristy and Phoenix to help.  All three of them are wonderful to work with, and I hope to be working with them for a long time.
