I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.

Looks like Severus is finally seeing the light with regards Alissa, but has he left his run too late?

I'm sure she was mean to the love struck boys, they were not her Severus after all.

They stood stock still until he bent down and whispered, “This is the part where you run before I hex you all so badly your mothers won’t even recognize your pathetic hides!” - Has someone been watching too many Shrek movies?
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
Was that from Shrek? I've only seen them once.Livvy
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
In the first movie, the angry mob with pitchforks etc try to chase him, he grabs a pitchfork I think and breaks it then roars, they all scream and stand terrified, he bends down and whispers, "This is the part where you all run away". Or something fairly similar, it's hilarious! Fits this story beautifully, so well done!
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Kids have watched it oodles of times... that's my excuse!
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
LOL! I'll have to watch it again!Livvy
Wow, your Alissa is a wonderful character, tough, passionate, desperate!
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
She is very determined and very desperate. She loves Severus more than anything!
As I felt with DH and like Alissa, I don't really care who dies as long as Snape survives. Let me qualify that, I want Alissa to survive too and them to have a life together after the war. She was hidden and was unseen by 'He Who I Always Found Most Tedious and Tiresome', if I had been her I would have thrown some kind of disabling spell on 'HW', killed the f---ing snake once she realized what would happen, and then guarded him to be sure the disabling spell stayed in effect. There would be no need to search for Potter, he was in the tunnel watching. When Harry AKed 'HW' the spell would rebound back to the scar and kill the Horcrux as it emerged from the scar.A real megalomaniac would be as paranoid as Moody and would have always been watching his back. But throughout the books 'HW' never really watched his back, he just watched the people in front of him. With all that opportunity, I wonder why no one ever made a sneak attack from behind him. I found him to be rather one dimensional. Bellatrix was fully fleshed out and inspired me to hate her but 'HW' only onspired my name for him: 'He Who I Always Found Most Tedious And Tiresome'.
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
Very interesting! I never thaought of that before, however, as long as the horcruxes were functioning, he would not die! Yet, we didn't know that. So I can see why not a sneak attack? Voldemort knew he was unbeatable since he had his little horcruxes. I think he was not working on all full thrusters, anyway. Well, hopefully, you will like how I wrap it up. My beta and I are going to collaborate on a companion piece within this world of "I'll be There", but you may not like it, since there will be Hermione as a couple with someone else - not Severus- he belongs to Alissa and not Ron, either! If you don't want to check that out, I'll understand. I know you don't care for Hermione. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
This is very good I hope you're not finished I hope to read more I am quite into the story and would be horribly disappointed if you don't continued. Good Job!
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
Oh, no! I'm not done. We've got about three more chapters left, so the story is coming to a fast close. I hope you like the ending! Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
Oh, wow. So sad, and so tense, and the Final Battle ahead....
Wonderful chapter.
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
I hope you like how I portray the battle. It's going to be a large chapter, a lot of canon involved, some not. We're heading to the end fastThanks,Livvy
I looked up the exact definition of Bildungsroman and whether or not JKR will admit it the whole series is a slow Bildungsroman about Severus Snape. The whole plot hinged on whether he was good or bad, not whether Harry defeated Voldemort; we all knew that was going to happen anyway. Dumbledore and Harry and 'He Who I Found Most Tedious and Tiresome' were all secondary characters in the end. Her id wrote it that way, but her ego doesn't see it. Her ego saw Snape as a repulsive, nasty, and unheroic character, yet her id created a romantic Byronic character equal to Heathcliff and Mr. Rochester who was more courageous and had a more moral character than either of them.I've said it before and I'll say it again, he was the only truly moral character in the books. He was the only one who saw his sins, confessed them, repented them all, and spent the rest of his days trying to atone. Nobody else on the side of the light had to prove that they were good, it was a given. Even for Sirius it was a given, but I think Sirius was just as evil as a Gryffindor as he would have been had he been a Slytherin and he never repented what he had done as a student. None of the others admitted to or repented any of their sins, but there were plenty to go around.Only Snape was held accountable. Dumbledore played with evil in his relationship with Grindewald, and later he played with people's lives to achieve his own ends, but rather than being held accountable his Machiavellianism was thought to be the mark of a genius. Sorry Joanne, but in my opinion Dumbledore was a bad guy and Snape was the good guy, and the real hero of the story.
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
It is just plain scary how much you and I think alike about the Harry Potter stories. Harry Potter is such the reluctant hero, pushed into a role he never asked for, never wanted, and in the end never was prepared for (at least by Dumbledore). Snape was held accountable and did he ever suffer. He suffered more than anyone and in the end Ms. Rowling didn't have the decency to even give him a hero's death! I think she is in complete denial about her writing on Snape. She said she loved writing him, but she was so prejudiced agaisnt him! I think she transferred her feelings for that teacher she based him on onto Snape and enjoyed manipulating the character and seeing him squirm.I like your description of the "id" and "ego". Very powerful. I have to say I totally agree with you about Dumbledore's Machiavellian way of controlling those under him. I think some take it too far and characterize him as Draconian, but he is much too subtle for that. No, Dumbledore was I think a true Slytherin at heart. I didn't buy that bull about he not taking the position as Minister of Magic because the temptation of power would be too great. Being Headmaster of Hogwarts, he ruled there, influencing young minds, "The hand that rocks the cradle controls the world," controlled a lot more than if were a political figure who could be put out of office if things went badly, or having to kiss people's asses to keep his job. He was the ultimate dictator. His word was law and he definately was the "speak softly and carry a big stick" kind of guy.Snape is an anti-hero, and I hope in time the literary world will place him beside all the other great anti-heros of literature: Heathcliff, Mr. Rochester, Rhett Butler. He is not a nice person, but a good one. He does what is right although for the wrong reasons. I think he was obsessed with Lily and he was motivated by that obsession. Yet, he was honest and kept his word. He was the only person to really prepare Harry for the fight ahead. Ironic, that the man who couldn't stand him was the one to aid him the most? Thanks for reviewing!Livvy

I think her id is/was actually in love with Snape, but she has been too far in denial to admit it. That's why she showed him such disrespect at the end and killed him in such a ridiculous way. Margaret Mitchell was in love with Rhett Butler, but she never denied that.He is the best written character in the books and he will live on as the classic romantic anti-hero long after the others are forgotten. Why else would she have written him so indelibly?
This is so intense--I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop, but you keep building the tension! Looking forward to the next chapter!

Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
Thank you so much! I hope you keep enjoying it!Livvy
I'm so sorry for the rift in their relationship. Will they have the opportunity to mend it before all is finished?
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
OF course. Love has its rocky moments, and true love finds a way to solve them. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
I'm still anti-Lily, she was far from perfect. She was the one who ended the friendship and abandoned Severus. He would have lashed out in anger at anyone who came near and he didn't mean what he said, but she refused to listen to him or accept his apology. I see her as an unforgiving person and not much better than the Marauders, and they were nasty bullies. Gryffindor is no better than Slytherin and the Slytherins are at least honest about what they are. Lily's biggest virtue was her maternal instinct.Alissa is much worthier of his love and devotion than Lily ever was.
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
You and I are two peas in a pod! I'm no great Lily fan myself! Unfortunately, what's done is done and the damage is there. All has been said that needs to be said by Alissa. Severus has to now either accept or reject her love. Thanks!Livvy
I love the way you ended this chapter..... it makes a person just have to beg for more. Cant wait to read the next chapter as always.
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
Thank you so much! I hope you like how the rest of the story works out. Thanks for reviewing!Livvy
I was waiting for this story yesterday and today. I'm so glad that it's finally up. :)
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
I hope you liked it! Thanks!Livvy
Just like Severus, I'm curious to know what Karkaroff meant by "They ar too damn mean."It sounded like he cared a lot more than he would admit or even realized when he stromed into Albus's office after he found that Alissa had left for Durmstrang. I'm looking forward to his reunion with her.
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
I hope you like the meeting too. There was definately a glimpse of her "meanness" in the Prologue. But, we'll see at the meeting. :)Livvy
Alissa had a plan, then. Their reunion should be interesting.
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
I think it will be. I hope you like it.Livvy
The love scene was very interesting. I like how you showed how "imperfections" can actually be endearing. Now, why did she leave after Christmas break?
Response from livvy6 (Author of I'll Be There)
That will be revealed in the next chapter! I hope you like it!Thanks for reviewing,Livvy
