I like a bold Hermione.My favorite line is "It was like looking into the bold, bright future while simultaneously being confronted with his expiration date." That is such a great discription of their age differences from Severus' persepective without making all the cliche'd excuses!Love the update, but it was too short!

I think I see a bit of what Snape was like before the years of service to Voldemort. There is a nice vunerability to him that is tempered with a streak of obsession. It is that kind of devotion/interest that is probably close to the reason that JKR said that it would be horrible for Snape to be in love.

Hermione leaned up, and he bent his head a little to graze her lips with his. Goosebumps ran down his legs and shot like the arrows of Eros down to his fingertips. She tried to further things along, but he held her chin in place. He never truly kissed her; he instead used every drop of self control in his already taxed reserves to whisper against her lips.“I am not the sort of man who takes kindly to being used to get past another.” She whimpered and tried to move up against him, even opened her mouth to protest. But he pressed the pad of his thumb against her rosy lips to keep her silent. “If you ever truly want me, you know where to find me.”He released her and walked back down the corridor, regretting every step.Damn! Severus is either the cleverest of wizards... or a wizard who has made a costly error in judgment. My money is on "clever!"Great story, Levicorpus! Now I'm off to Chapter Eight!Beth

Severus should have worn his rune necklace so Hermione could have seen it instead of hiding it away and telling her, “I’ve always thought men who wear jewelry are compensating for masculine shortcomings, Miss Granger.” He's such a liar!
He is so afraid to let anyone, Hermione or anyone else, see him as someone who would allow himself to become enamored of a witch.He'd better get busy! A girl can only wait so long before moving on... and time's awasting!Beth

Weeeeeellll... lets see here... Severus is willing to torture himself in order to put Hermione Granger off. Poor man! He's got it bad! When is he going to give in and decide to make a move for her attentions?He is going to make a move for her attentions, isn't he? Yes!!!It is fun watching Professor Snape trying to control his disobedient thoughts!

Well, I'm still reading this, and waiting for each update! Don't give this one up...it has so much potential. I'm enjoying it shamelessly, and can't guess where you're going to take this to.Can I say that your Snape leaves me feeling gooey and drooling,and I'm gnashing my teeth waiting for the Snioneyness that I hope will burst forth to drown us all! Swimming lessons have been cancelled for the rest of the year...Hurrah!

Levi! I was so thrilled to return from my honeymoon to see that you updated! OF COURSE we're still here! I've found that people are getting rather stingy with their reviewing...but don't let that get to you! This story is fantastic. I really am enjoying it. It's suspensful in a "Oh I so HOPE that this will work out..." kind of way. You know- the kind you want when you're reading a romance novel. I think you deserve many awards for your work. I really am enjoying this and would LOVE to read more from you.

Wow...I'm so honored!Hmm. A prompt for a one-shot...How about this? (feel free to play around with this one)Hermione is at headquarters, reading in the library. A few other people are there as well, just relaxing in their own pursuits: Snape, Lupin, and Tonks. Lupin and Tonks are flirting and it's making Hermione uncomfortable so she beats a hasty retreat. She accidentally leaves behind her journal. Suffice to say, after Tonks and Lupin retire for the evening, Severus gets curious. He snoops...only to find that this journal is a written diary of her deepest fantasies. They are all about a certain Potion's Master. As he reads passages from the journal, he becomes increasingly aroused (some of her thoughts are outrageous!). Sometime during his reading, he is taken by surprise when Hermione walks back in realizing she left her journal behind. What happens next is up to you...although I would like some lemons...lol. Erm...yeah. I think you have the ability to make this really funny and steamy as well. I'd love to see this from Snape's perspective. Please let me know if you actually end up writing this!
