I laughed out loud when Severus' reflection agreed with him and couldnt beleive Hermione either! Poor man was like a deer in headlights for awhile there.

I just found this story and totally caught up - great tale.  I just can't believe that whan I find it, it is at this cliffie!  Oh well, my luck...  I am really looking forward to an update - I am also really enjoying Snape's POV.  It's very interesting.

oh good grief.... Please be quick with chapter 10! I have been waiting so long for this story I have cobwebs covering my keyboard! I love it so much, the build up and the intensity - I almost feel Severus's angst!!

Thankyou for updating again. I have enjoyed catching up with your story again - he's got it baaad! I do love the imagery you use. Just a minor point - The last two sentences of the last two paragraphs. It seems with the first of these he has already made his mind up/ there is a shift, but then you say that he has to make a decision seems to be contradictory. The "he had to make a decision" line could insert between 'A tentative hand rested on his back. He looked up.' and the 'He looked up. He didn’t realize that the time in which he turned his head would be the last seconds of his previous life.' could be moved to the end? But this then removes a bit of the ambiguity too....hmmm. Notwithstanding as I have said before this it's a great read and I look forward to reading more.Cheers.

And the decision is...? Wonderful chapter, but that was a cruel spot to end things.

What happens to the grouchy professor?  Is Hermione still seeing Draco? Whatever happened between those two? What's wrong with Severus Snape?

OMG!  It has just occurred to me that this news that Severus has received about his "need for a new course of medication" may have been what Hermione had been told that made her unresponsive and unable to talk to him after she had returned to bed after talking to whomever it was that knocked on her door in the middle of the night.  (Whew!  That was probably one of the longest and worse sentences I've ever written).If she had learned of this resurgence of the effects of his near death at Voldemort's hand, I can imagine that she would not have been able to face a discussion of what had upset her so much.  It took her three days to be able to speak to him again, and then it was the weekend before she came to him with passion for him intact and her love for him evident once again.  Even though he was tired and weary when she came into his quarters, her hot kiss knocked the "antiquated tiredness right out of him."

In Chapter Nine, you wrote:  "The healers said that while in his coma, Snape’s passions had lessened. He believed them, since he had found an especial lackluster in all that he saw. He’d had to read potions journals for days on end while recuperating to be able to teach again. He took advantage of the situation to let his unhealthy obsession for Lily recede into the sands of time. It was time to let go."

I can't help but wonder if the passion he has begun to feel again with Hermione has triggered a relapse.  While he was waiting in her bathroom for her to see who was banging on her door that night, the stress had made "his old aches and pains from the early Saint Mungo’s days' flare up.  And now he finds out that even though Voldemort is dead, he is still able to make Severus' life miserable. 

I hope Severus and the healers are able to find a way to cure him once and for all.  Perhaps Hermione and Draco will be able to offer some insights from their respective disciplines.Beth

I loved all the shenanigans at the staff party, especially the game.  Spin the bottle coupled with "Truth or Dare" can make for lots of fun, or in the case of Severus' dare for Lucius, it can lead to lots of cat-fighting.  It was pure Snape for him to have told Lucius to kiss Septima and then beg off to go to bed.   If Lucius follows through, Camille is going to have a fit. 

I hope Hermione will beg off, too.  She can say she's ready for bed... and then she and Severus can go to bed together. 

You know, I can see how Legilimancy could be a handy thing.
