I'm still upset with Severus. He gives up too easily and keeps on giving in the easy way of easy sex. He's had an epiphany about himself and doesn't do anything about it.

And Hermione is too good. What will she do if she finds out that Severus carries on his liaison? Will she try to win him back?

Lastly, I'm a bit worried by what Miranda told Severus during the night and to which he obviously didn't pay attention enough.

Again, you've intrigued me.  My blood-lust was almost satisfied by Hermione's hex.  Very interesting psychological drama going on.  Can't wait to read more!

Ok here's my theory -- Miranda is mad because he went to Hermione first but also he only went to Hermione to apolgize.  I think Miranda is manipulative and possessive as well.  She wants Severus because Hermione does and it is that simple.  If there was no Hermione he wouldn't be nearly as attractive to Miranda.  I don't know if I am right, but it will be fun finding out.  Thanks for sharing, JoAnne

Uh-oh... I suspect foul play.  I also suspect that Severus should simply boot Miranda not only from his bed, but from the school as soon as he has the strength to do it.  And three cheers for Hermione, maintaining her class while able to relish one shining moment of revenge!

Bad form on Hermione's part. Severus deserved more of the blame than Miranda. I hope Severus is ok though I still think he's an ass. Hermione forgave him too quickly, but I guess she forgives him enough as a friend but he's a long way from beyond that.

*sigh* You always end with a twist. It isn't so good for the heart, you know?

Intriguingly different and an absorbing read. I have met women like Miranda and they are a scary thing to deal with! The resulting fireworks should be fun.

There is a lot more of Draco than meets the eye here, which is good: I always think that he is one of JKR's less developed characters.

This chapter is really about Severus, and your title says it all. He continues to be pathetically led by his baser desires, and then shockingly dumbfounded by Hermione's reaction. I wouldn't call for his head on a pike, but he seems to have quickly forgotten about the suffering he went through in the past for wrong choices.

I feel bad for Hermione because she feels responsibility for misreading and giving Severus too much space, yet how much should she really blame herself? They were just in the cusp of dating, and with so much more to learn about each other and their boundaries. What motivates her to seemingly plot and pursue Severus in spite of?

Hermione is finally seeing the light.  Draco certinly put things in perspective didn't he?

There is so much power and control in your writing - I'm in awe! Miranda is such a compelling OC - it is easy to understand falling under her seductive spell despite the constant reminders that she takes her sport in the suffering of others. Love it! Severus has been an arse, but his poor choices are all quite understandable. I'm looking forward to seeing the newly determined Hermione's next move - avenging goddess, indeed! Bravo, blessed author! Thank you so much for this gripping story!
