This is really great. I like the way that they speak to each other frankly about their first night. Superbly written! I'm looking forward to more.

And even though I really don't like Albus, maybe he is hoping that if Severus survives the war, he will find happiness with Hermione? Maybe? No? Ah well, I can accept that Albus is a manipulative and conniving meanie-face. Such a grown up insult, huh? Anyway! Lovely chapter! I'm very much looking forward to the next one in which Severus completes this sensual lesson.

I like his approach to "instruct" her. It is appropriate that she would respond to this after such an eventful afternoon.

 I've seen this scene a lot of times, done a lot of different ways, and I think this is in my top five favorite "first time to seal the vows" sex scenes.  The way you chose to have them discuss things honestly, Severus' insight that an academic approach would be a good way to begin, Hermione's maturity-yet-innocence (I really hate it when she's all bratty and petulant.  At this point, in this situation, she'd definitely be beyond sending birds to attack Ron, I think.) -- they all work to make the scene sweet and authentic.  Good work; continue, please.

I like the basics of a the Wizarding ceremony that you included. The magical circle was a wonderful touch.

The conversational warfare between Hermione and Snape was very well done -- lots of bite from him and lots of determination from her. You definitely know how to pace things for maximum effect -- so I'm glad to see the next installment is coming up.

The characterisation is impeccable.. I really feel you're representing them perfectly. Snape is beautifully sarcastic, Hermione undeniably eager and Dumbledore ever cryptic. The story is intriguing a thousand times over - this is amazing. More is needed!!

Your Dumbledore is a master manipulator, but that aint no secret, I feel sorry for both Hermione and Severus, they have quite the hardship in front of them. I am quite sure that you had your reasons for using Moody as the witness, if you stay to cannon, that will add quite a new problem for our couple I guess? Will you stick to cannon except for the epilogue? Will their marriage be valid for the Ministry  if it is not registred and both witnesses to said marriage is dead?  Well, though I am pretty sure Hermione does not agree with me at the moment, I am trilled that a relationship with Ron now is out of the question, I am so allergic to the Ron/Hermione idea I get itchy just thinking about it:-)) Update again soon, I do so look forward to read more!!!

I am enjoying this, but I don't understand why Dumbledore didn't simply tell several members of the order, (or leave some explaination to be opened by them after his death,) and arrange for some adult to be Snape's contact.Your Snape is good, by which I mean sarcastic.   Thanks for writing this.

Oh I just loved this chapter so much! Drama, humour, a touch of angst, and Severus marrying Hermione, what more could we ask for? I love that Hermione was amused by Severus' comment that he wasn't going to curse her in the traditional sense, and that she let it show, and that he was, in turn, amused as well. There's hope for them, yet! Lovely, just lovely!
