I love this story.  I do hope you plan to write more.  Poor Severus, it is really not fair.  I hope he and hermoine can really show those staff members just what they ae missing out on with their treatment of him.  It is a pity but that is the way the world is.  Looks are everything.  I blame the media ie tv, and Hollywood.

I can't imagine what a day of shopping with and for Severus could be like. Something funny probably, as I can't see him stay calm while some seller is turning around him and mumbling. Or worse chose a pink shirt for him because it's fashion. I'm really looking forward to that shopping trip.

I'm trying to recall where I read that 'item one, item two' thingy.  I think it was Shakespeare - 2  gentlemen?  or much ado?  I don't think it was much ado.     I have a strong impression of sitting in the basement flat I sublet in the summer of 76, reading shakespeare.
