Reviews for Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law
“I have slept with men,” he said, trying a new tactic.I love it! First time I have ever heard this used as an excuse to get out a relationship between them.Ah, LORD Snape, I forgot about that being used all the time...lol...Also Snape being thought to be pureblood before HB came out.Geez. What’s wrong with this picture? How much time do you have? Gad, I can't tell you how many of these I read. I might even have been guilty of one or two of the cliches myself...lol...Great job, Sun! Onto chapter 2.

!Ah, yes, good old Lord Snape and Snape Manor. Been a while, hasn't it? :) :)
Hehe- adopting Slytherins. :DLove the dueling scene and the lemons.A must have was there..Jealous!Snape. SQUEEA perfect MLC all wrapped up in two chapters. :D
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Thanks, Drox! I appreciate it. I love jealous snape. snerk.
At some point, he had slid out of his boxers...
Heh!
This was just too much fun. I think we've all fantisized about Laying Severus (with Hermione representing us, of course), and being the One Who Broke Through His Stern Self Control, who made him so excited he couldn't recall exactly when he doffed the pants... Or maybe she's the one not paying attention to such trivial things?
It's a riot. But it's romantic enough in its own goofy way to be a little bit inspiring, too. Good job, Southern. I'm still grinning.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Bwahaha. Indeed! :) Thanks for reading. I'm happy you had fun.
I confess to having a rather bizarre liking for MLC fics as well, but they frequently are loaded with cliches. It was fun reading a story that deliberately played with all of them.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
~smile~ Thank you for reading. Bwahahaha
Can I PLEASE have some pancakes with all that syrup. LOL! I was going crazy today hoping that I would find this chapter up and running when I got home. I was not disappointed. Loved the wedding sex! Whee!
Again, I was rolling my eyes and laughing at your PARODY (in case someone out there still doesn't get it). I don't know why but I now have this hokey dream sequence in my mind where Severus is holding hands with Hermione and heart bubbles are floating around with some cliche love song playing in the background. Ha! "Love is in the Air... "
Btw... I thought Severus had great restraint when Harry came knocking at the door the morning after the wedding. Who does that?!? Unless there's a shiveree. Bah!
Thanks for the laughs southernwitch. I'm going back to re-read and laugh some more.

~grin~ I'm so happy you liked it :) It's such fun to poke fun at things. bwahahahha
I am impressed. You managed to use almost all cliches ever used in a MLC fic, and you made it work. I admit that I snickered at places surely ment to be more serious, and groaned about how fluffy Severus was at the beginning of this chapter, (but you sure made him snarky enough later on). Most often when someone tries to make a parody of a known and often used plot, they mess things up and make it less than interesting to read. You did a brilliant job, there is no doubt that you know what there is to know about the MLC-plot, that you have enough affection for it to make a story like this work. A job very well done:-))
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Thanks for reading! :) I'm happy you enjoyed it. Hehe. You know how it is when you first start dating someone he is on their best behavoir for a while. And then later on, you're like WTF? Where's the bloke I feel in love with? LOLCheers!
I don't usually read parody's, but lol, it's too much-she's thought about raping someone. I may never stop laughing!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
I thought that would be a funky touch. LOL Thanks for reading! :)
*gigglesnort*
Very nice and highly enjoyable. Glad you pulled this out and shared. :)
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
thank you!
Well that was layed on a bit thick. Still good for a laugh. You managed to include most of my favourite cliches. I've always been fond of the Marriage Law but feel that it's been overdone. I guarantee that I'll still read any new ones though. Glad to see Lucius, The Reforming Death Eater, make an appearance also Serpensortia, The Lubricating Spell and the triplets with hard to spell names. Unfortunately we'll never know what house the triplets were sorted into and wether Severus becomes headmaster of Hogwarts. How will I sleep tonight???????
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
LOL!!! Severus becomes the High Headmaster of Hogwarts. A super duper title they created just for him. And his triplets all marry into the Weasley and Potter clans. :) LOLOL
Now that chapter was like an old fashioned bodice ripper, non-con turning to a love scene and all. I enjoyed your parody.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Nod.Thanks!!
My eyes hurt! Some of these clishés were literally painful, you know. I think the "you made me a new man in just a few hours" or some such rot took the prize though. Thank you for entertaining us one again SW!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
LOL! You're very welcome. Glad you had fun
I think the MLC holds a very special place in many of us' hearts. But blimey - on the top of my head I cannot remember one single clishé you have forgotten here. It is almost painful to read. Funny thing is DH has actually made me reread a lot of the old MLC and not all of them are all bad. Having said that, I do like a good parody.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
thank you! LOL
Meh, the second chapter was definitely more of a parody. I found myself wanting to smack around the charactes several times for OOC bullshhh.Nice job!*hugs*~Lotm
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
thank you! lol
Bwee! Oh, I was reading this and thinking to myself that it really deserves a drinking game: something in the vein of 'spot the cliche'. The abundance was glorious, even more so than in the previous chapter.
I really do love how well you managed to make this into a cohesive story, though, while still sporking all the cliches that stemmed from the MLC (which was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before I found my way into fandom but still seems to have prompted a third or more of the stories I've come across). And your confession at the end sort of added to the charm. :D
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Thanks so much! :) I have something else planned for a bit of spork. Grin
I think MLC fic parodies might be my favorite flavor of fan fiction. Course, I also love the serious MLC fics. It's a tough decision. Thanks for writing and for sharing!ickles.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
thank you! MLC stories are still some of my faves. I guess b/c it was so popular back in the day! :)
Hee. I think this part actually had more of the really bad clichés and way over-the-top OOC-ness, compared to the first part (most of which could have passed for a reasonably decent straight MLC story).
The triplets with hard-to-pronouce names - perfect!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
~grin~ hehehe thank you!
I knew deep down inside that Hermione actually had waist length straight hair - it just needed the right magic to bring it out. Green silk boxers! Three earth-shattering orgasms! Strawberry flavoring! Jealous Snape! First disagreement! She wants his baby (reader wails with envy)! Feelings! New wardrobe! Lord Snape! Protective Snape! Evil Lucius! Dazzling rings! Apprentice Hermione! Attentive Snape! Respectful Slytherins! Harry and Draco! Make-up sex! Hermione in love! Sad Snape! Reconciliation! Snape in love! Probably more make-up sex off screen.Sigh. This story was really close to perfect except that you didn't describe the sheets on Severus' bed. They were silk, of course, but what color? Is there any hope of an epilogue with the triplets?
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
LOL Nooo epilogue with the triplets this time around. Snerk. So glad you had fun with it.
Funny but also sweet, loving it!!!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Thank you! Hope you like the rest. :)
*Smiles* I so needed this today...very funny . I am looking forward to the next chapter.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Teehee. Thanks!
Snerk. Lord and Lady Snape was a nice touch. Such a familiar story, but still "good". Thanks, fun as always!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Ah, I remember the days of Snape Manor and Lord Snape well. LOL
I still love MLCs., even the dark ones where hermione commits suicide, so call me weird, call me a heathen. Although this is like MLC on speed....hehe. You got everything in there too. Every wonderful cliche. I dont have time to read much now, but I will read MLCs. Crap, maybe I will write one someday. Now we get the disaster of a wedding night, or Hermione's ephiphany. Don't forget the virgin's ease potion too. And they need to bring each other gifts. AND he has to undress her. SQUEE
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
where Hermione commits suicide...LOL You are so bad. :) I also like the MLCs. ~grin~ Glad to have been able to entertain you, dear. :) I think I missed the Virgin's ease potion, but he did put a potion in the bath water to soothe away her aching nether regions. Bwahahaha More up in a bit.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
Heh. I'm proofing it before I upload, and guess what? The potion is there. LOL Strawberry flavored. Dur...
Yes...I can see it coming soon:"Marriage Law: The Musical". Song titles are starting to permeate my brain! Argh!!!!!!!!!"The Muggleborn's Lament""I'm Too Old, Too Damaged, Too Greasy"Minerva and Albus' duet: "I Think They'll Be Perfect Together!"
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
LOL!! Indeed.
Whoa...it's like, it's like a very strong MLC served in a shotglass! I alternately groaned and chuckled while reading (I haven't finished yet, my cheeks hurt from grinning) - it also makes me a bit ashamed of some of the cheesey fics I've read!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
MLC on XLOL Thanks for reading!! :)
I rarely rate with stars, but I just *had* to. I read this in the morning, and with a series of goofy smiles on my face. When I found this pairing, I worked my way through all of the MLCs right away. Fond memories, and I suspect that you laughed your head off the utter cringe-worthyness of it all. And the best thing is that it's all written with your smooth style, so all the cringing was cliche-related and none of it was grammar-related.
*waits impatiently for tomorrow*
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
:) Thanks for reading. Teehee. That's what I did, too. I came to the pairing and got sucked into the MLC stories first. Way back when, I didn't realize how... funky some of the plots were, but reading now, I can see it. Odd, huh?I guess canon showed up and changed our likes (mine anyway). :)
Response from WriterMerrin (Reviewer)
I can't even say for sure that my likes have changed, but more that what is fresh and original has changed for this pairing for me. You're amazing to write so fast and repond to reviews so fast, too!
I know it is a parody, but jeez, I think is is better written and has a better plot than most. I still love them, actually, they are fun fantasies. That was lovely. I laughed quite a bit.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Parody: The Amazing Marriage Law)
LOL. Well thank you! :) More fun up soon.
