My response to the Potter Place's Winter Prompt Challenge, Prompt #22. What happens when Snape is inadvertently hit with an obscure curse that forces its victim to declare his secret love? He doesn't even release he has a secret heart's desire until the spell forces him to declare it, publicly, in Shakespearean prose no less!

Reviews for Snape's Shakespearean Revelation
This is a very clever story. What makes it a delightful parody is the way you've kept the characters true to themselves. It takes skill to keep the characters believable.

Thank you! My beta and I have worked very hard to keep the characters as true as possible. I truly appreciate my comments! Thank you so much for review.
I thoroughly enjoyed that chapter. You write with a very easy humor that is quite refreshing to read. Well done.

Oh my. *blushing furiously* Thank you.
Oh man label this a romantic comady! Snape quoting Shakespeare lolo. I love it!
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
You're right, of course, given everyone's responses, I should post this as a comedy. I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying it.
Marvellous stuff - looking forward to more.

Thanks.
Poor Severus! At least he wasn't compelled to touch her or make any physical gestures, as well. Poor Hermione has to be so confused!
Wicked cliffhanger, leaving us before showing Minerva's reaction.
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
I think Poor Hermione is rather offended! But you're right, at least he hasn't had a physical response, yet :) I hope you're not too disappointed with the next chapter.
Response from Keladry Lupin (Reviewer)
I must've given the wrong impression; I highly doubt I'll be disappointed! Besides, it's your story, not mine ... I'm just along for the ride and enjoying the scenery immensely.
Great use of Shakespeare. Funny and sweet, a great combo. Can't wait for more.

YAY that was sooo cuteness!!!
update soon!~
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
Thanks. The next chapter is with the beta at the moment, but we're certainly trying to get it ready quickly.
I'm sorry to hear this was harrowing to write, but it is a lot of fun to read. Poor Snape. At least he gets a break from iambic pentameter when he's not around Hermione.
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
I'm glad it's turning out so well. I was really worried when I started collecting quotes. Snape and I will both get a break in the next chapter though, thankfully, but don't worry, the curtain hasn't dropped on Shakespeare quite yet.
okay. An evil cliffie! What's Minerva going to say in response to that?
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
LOL! Sorry. I hope I don't disappoint when it comes to Minerva's response. It's pretty minimal. Thanks for reviewing.
this story is amazing, as I love shakespeare and these quotes are fun to try to translate and decide which play/sonnet they are from, although I'm not big on the sonnets. I encourage you to continue this story, as it is also hilarious! Cheers! :-D
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
LOL. To be honest, I'd never read the sonnets until I sat down to start writing this fanfic. Who would have thought that fanfiction would have me reading Shakespeare!! It was definitely worth it though. Thanks for reviewing.
Isn't the "perfumes of Arabia" line a little, um, odd for the tone of the story? I mean, Lady MacBeth is referring to the murders she cannot wash from her conscience and keeps seeing blood on her hands... That always evokes a chill from me. I find it weird for a man spouting his love (albeit a curse-driven declaration) to use such an example for Hermione's innocent hand. Anyway, I love the rest of it so far, please keep updating; I can't wait to see Minerva's reaction!
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
Yes, if you read within the original context, it is a bit weird, but isn't it so like Snape to twist something to suit his own purposes? I am glad you are enjoying the majority of the story though.
*giggles* Oh my! LOL This is way too funny... I can't imagine how frustrated he must feel. If he doesn't remove any un-necessary appendages from Creevey after this, I'll eat my hat!Great stuff, hope to see more very soon. Cheers!

heheehe! That last little bit of self commentary Snape has is priceless.
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
LOL. I'm so glad you liked it. There will be plenty more of Snape-ish grousing yet to come :D
Well, how will Severus explain this...
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
I don't want to give away too much of the storyline, but unfortunately for our poor Severus, it's going to be awhile before he can say anything to Hermione under his own free will :D
This has the ear marks of a great story. I really can't judge one chapter, but I like what I see! keep me posted!
Response from snapemylove (Author of Snape's Shakespearean Revelation)
I'm so glad you are enjoying it! I hope the remaining chapters will live up to your expectations :D Thank you so much for all your encouragement.
