This story is wonderful.  C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors and I greatly enjoy the way you are weaving him into the story.  Well done.

The plot thickens!  Well, this pretty much confirms Harry's theory about Dumbledore and Snape.  It's unusual to see Harry defending Snape from Hermione in fanfic (or in canon, for that matter), but his reasons for doing so make perfect sense.  Wonderful chapter!

Harry was right! Dumbledore sent her the book! I figured it out because he's the only one in cannon who has loopy handwriting. And Snape is either "the protector" or "the traitor". I saw the movie. I'm pretty sure that Dumbledore is Aslan. But Snape... he would have to be the protector, wouldn't he? I mean, he's been protecting Harry since forever! And like Harry said, if he wanted/needed to be forgiven, Snape would ask. Dumbledore has already forgiven Snape, and that's all that matters to him... So the traitor must be someone else... Draco, perhaps? We know Ron is the wrongly accused.

Whew!  Great fic so far.  I totally love it.  A little bit of mystery, a dash of intrigue, and Hermione. For what else could I ask?

Love the premise of this story!  I think the comparison to TL,TW&TW is a stroke of brilliance.  Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

Hmmmmm...I'm very interested to see where you go with this!  I like the fact that you incorporated another one of my favorite books (The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe) in with a Harry Potter story -- I don't think I know of any HP fanfic author who has done this, and it's a rather refreshing twist.  I can only guess that the message inside the book is from Dumbledore (who appears to have sacrificed himself for the greater good in much the same way that Aslan did), that "Lucy" refers to Harry, and that "Edmund" is Snape...?

So far so good! Interesting premise. Maybe Ron needs someone to slip him some Veritaserum... I know it's a bit early to tell, but from Harry's last words in this chapter it sounds like he'll be open to the suggestion that Snape might not be quite so guilty- which makes a change.

OOOOOoooo I do so love this opening! What a brilliant analogy! I don't know why I have never thought of it before (too focused on Lord of the Rings I guess to think that far back Ha Ha!) This may add to the theory list that is out there since Harry's mum sacraficed herself and the magic protected Harry. We have yet to know if Albus' death has any (other than the obvious) affect on anyone (or thing). Brilliant job!
