The lion lies dead beneath cold stone. The traitor lives freely. The darkness stirs, readying itself for the final blow.
Things, however, are not always as they appear. The truth lies in a Muggle children's book- can Hermione find it in time?

Reviews for 'Til We Have Faces
Geez! What a horrible type of curse to fall on Arthur and Molly. Love being the one thing that keeps them strong and bonded, able to face the horrors of this bloody war. Kinda cool in a certain way, it would destabilize the Weasley clan quite neatly. Evil author! ;)
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
It's all Voldemort's fault. He's influencing my muse or something. : )
That curse is diabolical! I suppose it makes sense that if love potions exist, so do anti-love potions. You're on a roll with the inventions! I'm wondering what you'll come up with next.
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
That's what I was thinking (with the anti-love potion)! The next chapter will be out before too long. : )
What a horrible curse!
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
I think Voldemort Imperio'd my muse or something.
lmao! I would've never thought to make snape pretty as punishment!
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
My muse told me it would bother him something awful. : )Thanks for reading, and double thanks for reviewing!
You don't like Hermione much do you? The chapter was saved by her retaliation towards the boys (and I do include Severus among the boys in this case), that was rather brilliantly done though. While I can understand that you want a more "normal/human" Hermione, I guess you know that from the question in the beginning of the review, I am not sure if you are not tipping the scale to far the other way. One of the things that makes Hermione Hermione is her brilliant mind, not only the fact that she is a friend of Harry Potter. If a Severus/ Hermione romance is part of the story, it is looking awfully much like a Barbara Cartland novelle at the moment where the helpless and brainless lady swoon in the arms of the much stronger, always rigth, handsome and powerful hero awknowlegding her self as a lesser being who are depended on the hero to have any kind of happiness in her life. As you might guess that is not my cup of tea. You do write very well though and the plot is good, and you do manage to hold my interest. but if you wander to far in one direction you can't suddenly turn the story around and make Hermione/Severus out to respect and honour each other and make it belivable.

I do like Hermione, and I actually didn't realize I was tipping too far to the other end of the scale. It's something I'm working on fixing... I don't know who Barbara Cartland is, but I promise there won't be any swooning on Hermione's part. ^_^ In the coming chapters I have addressed that issue, because I really don't see her as a weak-willed brainless twit and I apologize that I've made her seem that way. This fic has been a learning experience for me, I'll say that!
I get the feeling that Hermione will be shuddering due to something other than disgust if she kisses Severus. Well, certainly now that she's made him into a 'nancy-boy'. Priceless! He really deserved that and her comeback. The trouble she had with her teeth was in her fourth year, though.
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
I suppose I should have put that - I didn't specify, though that's what I meant. ^_^ I added in that it was her fourth year, though - thanks! She will hopefully be shuddering soon, but my muse seems to think otherwise and is moving things along awfully slowly. As always, thanks!
The quarrel between Hermione and Severus was very funny!
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
I am glad you thought so - and thanks for reviewing!
yay! I had a feeling it might be similar to the moment with slughorn. I love that part of book 6.
omg! Now what?! AGGG.
I'm intrigued.
Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day is a favorite in my house. My son's name is Alexander and he's had more than his share of Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Days thanks to having asperger syndrome. It's been quite a long while since he's had one, though.
Anyway, completely off topic. So far I really like this. I was beginning to think, "Jeez, I don't really like how this Ron is turning out." I don't really think Ron and Hermione are a good match, but he's not a bad sort. Anyway, the Imperius certainly explains a few things.
Oooh, I love it. I just finished reading, for the very first time, The Magician's Nephew. I read it to my daughter and her teacher is reading The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe to her class at school. Anyway, I found I was rather fond of Aslan and even that nasty witch.
One belated birthdayreview coming up; (but you might not like it at all ;-)I shuddered at the first chapter and was fully prepared to let this story be, but i must confess it has grown on me. Molly being smart and "in the know" at least a bit - as opposed to the uterus without brain - as she is usually written.Snape taking an awfull lot of sugar in his thea instead of the heathens who discribe tea as were it coffee...A nice and thinking Ron for a change. You prove to have some (semi) original thought (i said semi as fanfic can by it's nature not be original) but i still think you could write better though. I cannot pinpoint it at the moment, but when i do i will say what still bothers me. I'm sorry i could not provide you with better concrit now.I'll rate this with a seven not because i hate this fic, find it lacking in smut or some other tripe, i simply find that much reviewers do only 10101010 SQUEEEand i am not thusly inclined.A seven is a pass but could be bettered upon. I sincerely hope you do. Again my appologies at not givng you more to work with now and a happy birthday.

Thank you for your feedback - I really do appreciate hearing from you. As far as improving my writing, well, that's why I started this! It's my first fic, and I do not expect to become perfect in every way without practice. When you pinpoint what bothers you, let me know! I can't hope to improve without concrit, after all. ^_^Again, thanks for taking the time to review!
An interesting story. I'm looking forward to seeing where it's headed.
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
Thank you!
This chapter had me sniggering at various points (Severus and his poison threats in particular), so it merited a review anyway!Happy belated birthday. I hope that your muse is more cooperative than mine!
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
Thank you very much! The muse is being (mostly) cooperative... hopefully yours will shape up soon! ^_^
oh please tell me you won't abandon this story!!! I look forward to updates!
wow, this is getting more and more interesting. I like that Professor Trelawny is not as she appears. I love that Snape took a sandwich. ROFL. Fun story. I hope the Weasleys can be saved!
wow, that is a horrible curse. Excellent chapter.
Oh I loved the dodgeball reference. I started suspect it was coming just a little way before it did. Really made me laugh, though. I love that movie.
The giant panda makes me think of a game on Wii Fit in which there is a balance game that requires you to try to head soccer balls. You have to avoid shoes and panda heads. We made a Mii that looks like Snape and every now and then he throws shoes and panda heads at us. This makes us laugh a lot!
Wow, can't wait to read the next bit and see what's happened at the Burrow.
HAH! Fun. I love that Hermione's revenge is to fix Snape.
I've just finished the Chronicles of Narnia, so I caught the quote at once. I wonder what she'll found there, and I also wonder if Snape wouldn't be hidden in the Burrow's attic.
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
There's definately something up there... ^_^Thanks for reviewing!
Hmm, what man can possibly be hiding in the Burrow's attic with the gift of a deep and rich voice? I may yet be taken by surprise.I'm guessing that Hermione isn't going to find Narnia at the back of the wardrobe. But what is it? Also, even if Hermione kept the wardrobe door open, who's to say that someone else won't close it? That would be evil.I hope to see another chapter sooner rather than later!
Response from deathbyshikon (Author of 'Til We Have Faces)
Chapter 6 is on its way. ^_^Thanks for reviewing!
well that was baffling at the end of the chapter. I like it, though, and am heading off to read the next chapter.
I just started reading this again after being away from it for a long time so I'm going to have to go back and read some of it again. I loved this chapter, though, so this time I'm going to make sure I don't lose track of it!
This story is wonderful. C.S. Lewis is one of my favorite authors and I greatly enjoy the way you are weaving him into the story. Well done.
