I have to apologize to everyone, period. Real life swallowed me whole, as I have been struggling to make a living writing original fiction over the last 8 years. It has not been easy, & has been complicated by health issues. I hope people can forgive my long silences. Trying to make enough money to live on from writing is a lot harder--waaaay harder--than it looks. (At least I didn't leave any posted fanfics unfinished.)
Anyhoo...
These stories are works of parody (& thus are allowable under US law), and are not written for profit. Just for fun. I'm not making any money off of any fanfics, nor will I ever. I'm just playing around in other writers' universes.
...I am, however, making something of a living off my own stories. (If anyone wants to play around in my universes, you may visit my website, www.jeanjohnson.net, and look up my policy on Fanfics & Fanarts. It's reasonable enough and fairly easy to follow, too...)

*ahem* I am a dunderheaded American. (Born in Seattle, raised in the region, with an I.Q. of 148, no less.) My philosophy is that you cannot poke fun at anyone unless you first and foremost can poke fun at yourself. (Otherwise it's discrimination/bigotry/prejudice/whatever.)And yes, there are dunderheads in Great Britain. There's dunderheads in Australia, and in Japan, and in Thailand, and Kuwait, and Brazil, and Burkina Faso, ad nauseam. I was actually poking fun at British attitudes towards Americans, if you must know. To a number of them (not large, but there's a few), we're still the "colonies". It's just an opinion, and opinions can't change the facts.I'm an American with an I.Q. high enough to be in MENSA if I wanted. (Which I don't but that's another story.) Why can't I call myself a dunderhead...especially when I know it isn't true?If it makes you feel better, I'll try to remember to pick on Australians, next.~Lotm

...Actually, I've already poked fun at Australians. (I checked.) I have to pick on someone else, next. *scratches head* Hmmm...if I go after Germans, Vivian might threaten me with her whip (though I'm not sure if it's to wield it, or refuse to wield it)...how about Russians? I've got a friend stuck in Siberia at the moment, doing medical research. I'm sure she'd not mind!~LotmP.S. Marvin's afraid of me. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! Since I'm home sick in bed this is the best tonic going! The end was a delightful twist; I love the way she had planned to offer for him all the way along.Your writing, as always, is scrumptious. The book was a lovely motif (I guess I saw it as one) in the exploration of the relationship; as were the letters - definitely my favourite bit.I laughed at the ‘amphibious cow” comment – I don’t know if you can be an amphibious cow but it was very amusing nonetheless. Oh, you have two tiny typos—but the more noticeable one is Griffindor in the first—or is that second para, I’m never sure--of the first part.

LOTM,As always you never cease to amaze me with your storytelling abilities. This is just a new and wonderful story to add to your incredible arsenal of literary FanFic greatness. It was an excellent twist to the Marriage Law challenge. It was very sexy, Passionate and full of humor which blended together for a perfect fit. I so loved that Courtroom scene. It was wonderful to see Hermione handle that cow Dolores. I also love Hermione's Slythrin tendencies at the end of the tale. She was already planning on how to get her man, Dolores just made her more faster than she had originally planned! LOL Thank you it was just the pick me up I needed on an otherwise dull Thursday night.

I LOVE this! I've never read such a reverse marriage-challenge story, and there are so many things that enchant me that I don't know where to begin. Well: (1) Delores getting hers; (2) Hermione not needing Dumbledore's help at the hearing; (3) Sex for Dunderheads, and Severus's appreciation of Hermione's gesture; (4) Ron being upset; (5) the stacks of books; (6) the diamond rings; (7) your always incredible syntax, creativity, grammar, and tone. Excellent story! Of course, Hermione seems more of a Slytherin than even Severus does, but it's nice to see her able to get what she wants without being overshadowed by Harry and Ron. And, Severus is quite a studmuffin in the sack!

Oh, this is brilliant!
Such a unique twist on the Marriage Law and without any angst to boot! It's really rare to find a story where Snape is the one pursued and not Hermione.
I like them both in your story, they're very in-character - a nice surprise, considering the premise with the ML. And Hermione displays some very Slytherin tactics!
In short, it's perfect! Romantic and funny, it makes one acutely disappointed that it's already finished. *sigh*
