He didn't hate Granger, but he wasn't exactly fond of her, either. So it was with great annoyance that Severus found himself pressed into service by Headmistress McGonagall to find the lost witch. Had anyone told him he would be enjoying the ample "favours" of the not-so-bookish know-it-all by the end of the day in an effort to get back to their reality, he would have promptly committed them to St Mungo's. But reality has a way of turning on you, and magic can have many different meanings.
A rather later response, more or less, to Lotm's "Lost in a good book challenge" on Wiktt. Complete in four chapters.

I am amazed and enthralled with the Harry Potter universe, with the emphasis on Snape. HG/SS is my favorite ship (you have been warned). I like sci-fi ? Star Wars, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, and Ray Bradbury to name a few. Horror also catches my interest as in Stephen King. I am a married, mother of two teenagers, multiple pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, turtle), and I work way too many hours. The rest is window dressing and subject to change without notice. I think Prince Snape cares more about Hermione than the Prince ever cared about beauty. Then again i am only 1/2 way thru Rice's 2nd book. Im stuck in a Tristan chapter. Lots of horses.
Hermione's response was just perfect! It pulled Snape away from falling into his maudlin thoughts. I'll take a Snape alarm clock any day!
I recently purchased Anne Rice's version of Sleeping Beauty. Oh my stars is that naught. naturally I love it. I am sure your SS/HG version will be hot as well!

Fantastic ending, and I'm glad it didn't end up completely PWP. It was also nice to read something shorter. *sigh* Be nice if they DID make books like that in the 'real world'...:)

This is a great story and I love that you chose Anne Rice's work as the topic. I am currently following several of your stories and am continually awed by your work.
