i love the choices of familiars for the different charaters. you really have a gifted imagination. great story.
Very cute story! I enjoyed it exceedingly well. Thank you for sharing it.
This story was alot of fun. Thanks for giving me something to laugh at!
Poor Harry. I'm glad the familiars are going to take care of him. He needs some support.
This is such a creative story.I love watching the maneuverings of the familiars. They are just a bit devious - so Slyterin!Very entertaining.
oh what happened during interrogation???
wonderful chapter. excellent writing. thank you. p
Is that the end? Hmmm!!! Well done though I was a little disappointed with the ending, if this is truly the ending. Thanks for writing it. Cheers, Sonia

HAHAHAHAHA! That's hilarious! I spotted her name when it was mentioned earlier, but that's priceless! A plaid pooka! Oooh, but that was a nasty turn at the end.
I need a chart that connects familiars to pets! And some of your names are quite exotic.

Oh hey, welcome to TPP! It'll become a little more clear who owns who as the story unfolds. This was supposed to be 2 or 3 chapters at most. Then it took on a life of its own. It's much lighter than Invictus, and I hope you like it as well.

Gosh, I'm flattered you remember me! Yes, I'm making much longer "rounds" through the fanfic sites now. There's always a glut of reading material after a new book comes out, but then it slows down. And HBP knocked me flat, I haven't been writing nearly as much, and all the time I used to spend writing is now spent reading... nasty cycle. Anyway. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Wonderful story, I really enjoyed it. The ending was a little abrupt, but everything else was great! I've always thought there was something more going on that my cats neglect to mention to me
Excellent story! I often think my animals are meeting behind my back, this only confirms my suspicions. Interesting take on Harry, I would imagine all that pressure, and finally besting Voldemort might make him go round the bend. Well done!

Thanks! This one was fun to write, even if it was SUPPOSED to be only 2 or 3 chapters originally.
Extremely fun story – I enjoyed it immensely. The ending, however, feels a bit forced and the abruptness doesn't quite fit with the rest. All the same, a very fine effort.
Response from Doomspark (Author of Catspaws)
Apparently you're not the only one who doesn't like the way I ended things. I'll probably revisit this - after I get my WIP list pared down a bit.
A fun story. The abrupt ending was a bit jaring, but I kind of liked that it was open-ended as to what happened with the potion and the cats.

I have a nasty habit of leaving a variety of loose ends lying around in my stories. Gives me a place to start if I ever decide to write a sequel.Glad you enjoyed my story!
Is this really the end ?? It was kind of rushed, I thought. But great, nonetheless. ^.^ What do you make of an epilogue ? I'd certainly be looking forward to that and it would explain some questions, like if they succeeded in making the potion work, for example...
Response from Doomspark (Author of Catspaws)
Hmm... when I have half a dozen reviewers telling me that I need an epilogue... Well, I will certainly *think* about it. However, it won't be until after my currrent WIP list is pared down a bit.Glad you enjoyed the story!
You know what i would like alot... An epilogue...
an amazing story, one that i enjoyed from the word go!

Epilogue, eh? I'll chew on that, but it won't be until after my current WIP list gets completed. You're not the only one asking for one by the way.Glad you enjoyed the story!
Now you must right the sequel. Harry was left without a familiar so he gets Fluffy! Harry is already torn in multiple directions emotionally that a 3-headed dog is nothing. This was a great, fun story that I love. I enjoy your writing style and look forward to reading anything else posted. Congratulations on a job well done!!!

Let's see here... I have a few stories here, and a some on Sycophant Hex. I also have some on my own site.No sequel for Catspaws, I'm afraid. At least not until I get some of my WIPs completed.
I loved your story! It was truly delightful. However, the ending seems a bit rushed to me...I bet it's definitely intentional, however would you consider writing a more comprehensive ending, ( *cough*longer*cough*), for those who don't want to see the end of this story so soon? ~

I'll... *consider* perhaps a follow-on one-shot - but not until I clear my current list of WIPs:Future PerfectThe VarletTwilightReap the WindGolden GainWitch of the WestThat said, if I get bit by a plot-pond monster, who knows what my Muse will come up with.
as I have said before this is a very unique story one of the best I have read. Congrats on this and I look forward to reading more of your work.

I've got more stories here, and some on Sycophant Hex. Please feel free to read and review!
This is great! I was trolling for a good read and found myself sucked into this amazing story. I love the dynamics of each character. As a suggestion, add Fang as a hidden familiar to balance out all the small animals...human tendancies ignore what is right in front of them. Love having a Borzoi in there....what can I say...I have a Great Pyranees, Samoyed, Daschund and Fox Terrier.Back to the story. They've leveled the playing field on expectations through the school year. Let Hermione beat the crap out of Harry at Graduation/ Graduation Ball and get them finally together!
Response from Doomspark (Author of Catspaws)
Glad you're enjoying Catspaws. It was a lot of fun to write. Fang eh? If Catspaws wasn't completed already, I might do that. As it is, perhaps that can be a plot-bunny somewhere. Though who would I match up with Hagrid?
Response from oscarxena (Reviewer)
My Goodness, it's obvious that there are 2 possibilities. If you are going for reality it's Luna Lovegood (she can find more creatures for him). Humor effect you would go for Bellatrix (Hagrid LIKES strange, dangerous creatures...she is one!). I don't think I've ever seen a story matching those two....strange plot-bunny but it could work.
“I do not believe we are fated to be together,"
Thats so stupid, of course they are, his just being think...lol

*grin* Ol' Snapers is trying his best to ignore reality.
Our human pets have suffered greatly from this insanity they refer to as war. Many Familiars have lost their pet humans and been unable to replace them. Some humans have been so damaged that they have been put down. It is a terrible thing! Fortunately, this insanity is over now, and the Great Snake has been vanquished.
Ah-HAH! Now we know the truth! The true instigator of all the evil and carnage was Nagini! Voldie was merely her pet!
We, on the other claw…
Cute!?
Minerva McGonagall snorted to herself as the big ginger tomcat came walking by. “Where do you think you’re going, Crookshanks?”
“Miaow!”
She scooped him up. “I’ll have to take you back to Miss Granger. I wish I could talk to you in cat form. I’d bet you could tell me where Gambit is.”
Minerva has a CAT? But... but... Minerva IS a cat!
In general, I'm not much of a Snape/Hermione shipper, but I can see the point that they are more intelligent than almost everyone else around.
On the other hand, I am very much an Albus/Minerva shipper and something of a Sprout/Flitwick shipper, as well. (Sprout/Filch is one I hadn't thought of, but interesting. She might de-grouse him a bit.)
Response from Doomspark (Author of Catspaws)
*grin* Sounds like you're enjoying my tale so far.Gambit (Minerva's Familiar) is a terrier, not a cat. Snape/Hermione isn't for everyone, I admit. It used to squick me completely. These days... well, I will write anything that strikes me as interesting, and read anything that's well-written.
Response from Cat Feral (Reviewer)
Ooohhh! A terrier! Does he ever chase her when she's in her cat form? ;-)?
I like the chapter. I like that there wasn't a fervent declaration of love. And what is Hooch going to do?
Response from Doomspark (Author of Catspaws)
I've always thought that fervent declaractions of love were a bit out of character for these two, especially this early in a relationship. And Hooch... well, she's clever. She's got a PLAN!
Another excellent chapter: I'm delighted that Severus and Hermione are starting to sort things out, but the plot thickens with Mme. Hooch and M. Malfoy. Neville and Millicent are just sweet, and make an excellent pairing. Well done, familiars, well done! (and the author as well, of course...)
Response from Doomspark (Author of Catspaws)
I can't tell you how much fun I've had writing this. I hope you continue to enjoy it.
