OK - I know I'm twisting this up way too much - and I'm probably out of my mind and way off base - but why do I find myself thinking the FIRST Draco wasn't the real one - that perhaps it was Lucius indulging some perversity - and that THIS Draco IS the real one... yeah, I know, I'm overthinking this waaaay too much.... sorry, that's how my feeble brain tends to wobble about sometimes !!

Oh but wait - I just went back to your first listing of characters from the first chapter and you mention Severus... but you don't mention him again after that.... sooooooo.... that probably means.... it could well be... but then again.... Drat, woman, you've got me at sixes and sevens, now. It's just me - having just written a redeemable, angsty and penitent Draco, I'm not quite ready for him to be such a vicious little shit... but he could be.... might be....

Am I a horrible person if I tell you it makes me really happy that I have tied you into knots wondering? It feels like I have actually managed to write something that keeps people curious enough to want to continue reading my story! On the down side is that I'm getting more and more afraid the ending isn't up to par with these first chapters ... Thank you darling, for reading and reviewing. It means a lot to me.

This is interesting. Did he really lose his memory? Is someone using Polyjuice? But you'd expect them to look identucal. Did the elf find someone who closely resembles Draco while overseas and persuade him to come back? So many questions! Poor Hermione!

I'm so glad you like Plucky! She wrote herself into the story, not giving me any choices in the matter. I adore house-elves in general to be honest. The concept is so bizarre, and I think JKR is a genius for coming up with them.

Oh, your Malfoys give me the chills. And I don't yet know if Draco back is a good thing or a bad thing. She was stuck with the Malfoys either way, so is it better on her with Draco around? Still, even though she hadn't been allowed to declare him dead, there was hope. Now ... :( Maybe it's not really Draco, but someone made to look like him who will come and sweep her off her feet behind closed doors. Well, a girl can dream, can't she?

oh, what a mess! I do hope that Harry and Ginny are overreacting, but I'm afraid they aren't. Why on earth must she go alone? And I have to wonder if Draco was in on this, or was he as much a victim as Hermione?

It is a horrible mess, and I do agee: She just shouldn't go alone. But unfortunatly she sees it as a necessity, protecting her friends, and we all know how stubborn she can be.

Oh, what an intriguing start. I do hope things work out okay for Hermione. You'd think the Malfoys would be happy to get rid of her. Of course, I don't know why they are married so it might have been advantageous to them. Must move on ...

I know I'm probably going a bit off-course, but is the observation that Draco is a few inches too tall an indication of something? I noticed that you have Snape as a character appearing, and I'm wondering if there's a connection. Since it is obvious Hermione was thrown off by Draco's behaviour, I'm thinking Polyjuice. Of course I could be over-analyzing.
