And the lovely banner above was made by Talesofsnape, a friend of mine.
Reviews for Deception
Hahahah can't imagine Snapey will be too pleased to find out she's planning on leaving him behind :D

Heh! That would be a no go to his mind, wouldn't it? So he needs to do something about it...

So... Draco is alive... I hope that he really, can´t remember anything... Excellent chapter!! thanks!!
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
indeed he is ... so what would one Severus Snape do about that? And thank you! Glad you liked it.

o.O So just who could it be if not Draco? And how are they doing the Look-a-like thing if Draco is indeed dead?
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Yes. Hermione, poor thing, is in a spot of trouble isn't she? Draco or not Draco, and if not then who? We will get there ... eventually. Thanks for reading.

Yep, Severus - the scents would be his...
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Well, my husband favors Sandalwood too, and I'm quite sure he isn't Severus ;). On to the next chapter ...
Response from moiramountain (Reviewer)
Ok, Ron, bless him, just isn't that adept. Harry's not an option, just because. This is the work of a Slytherin, without question..... Blaise, perhaps? He would know Draco's habits and mannerisms quite well. Now that would be something... And he does strike me as the sandalwood type... Sly minx, perhaps you listed Severus as a character in the beginning just to throw us off the scent... which makes YOU most Slytherin of all...
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Me? Slytherin? And here I was imagining myself more of a Hufflepuff than anything else.

Okay, I'm intrigued. Is she talking about someone specific? It's hard for me to imagine who that exception would be, other than Lucius. Who could she fear more than Draco at this point? Is there more to Hermione's troubled past that we are going to learn? Or is she just babbling here? Because it feels like she's dangerously close to messing this up, when this mysterious stranger could be exactly the ally she needs. Sadly, it seems that is human nature sometimes. Anyway, this is an intriguing story. You have left delicious clues along the way. I'm curious if those clues are leading to where I would expect them to, or if you are setting us up for a bigger twist.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
I think there is some odd Death-Eaters still about, that worries her, but you are right: she is babbling a bit. And yes, humans tend to ruin for themselves more often than not. And thank you so much. I'm so glad you find the story entertaining and you like my cluework. I really hope the rest of the story will be to your taste. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

I thought this would be the perfect time for me to review. I'm really loving this story. I agree with everyone else that Severus is impersonating Draco. It seemed like this last chapter was almost confession time. If Severus decides to come clean, I think Hermione would take it very well. My biggest question that I hope to have answered is what happened to Draco.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
I'm afraid I might be adding a few more questions to the pile before I'm finished ;). However, I hope your questions will be answered ... eventually. And I'm so glad you like the story. Writing is difficult for me sometimes, and it's the nice reveiwers that makes me stick with it on my bad days. Thank you!

What an awkward dinner. I think Hermione could like this new Draco, if the previous one hadn't done so much damage where she is concerned. In the end, you've made it clear that Draco is a robot and killed Lucius with his laser. I know, it only took me eleven chapters to finally figure it out, LOL.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Horrible dinner. Dreadful. It is actually inspired by some meetings I've take part in at work ... and ... no, not quite. But things are heating up. Glad you're still with me.

"Draco" is going to give Lucius a good run for his money. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Let us hope that he does. I think Lucius deserves some running. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Hermione needs to start using that brain of hers. If she is suspicious it isn't Draco, then all the past history with him is null and void. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Yes. But she can't be sure. And if Draco isn't Draco, who is he? And is he dangerous? Worse than Draco? ;)

Has to be old Snapey. :)
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
But Snape's dead. It would be a big surpris for ... everyone, if he showed up. I hope you will enjoy the rest of the story. Thank you for reading.

That wit is far too acerbic and cutting for the old Draco... so... we're back to it having to be Severus... who's dead... ahem... yeah, about that...
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Well, I still think it would be quite the surprise for ... everyone, really, if Severus would suddenly turn up alive and well. Don't you think so?
Response from moiramountain (Reviewer)
Well SOMEBODY is sure as heck alive and well... !!! Two dead men???

What a place to leave it!I'm really enjoying this story so far.

I want to keep my readers, so the ending is a shameless attempt at trying to get you to come back and read some more of my story ;). With that confession out of the way I'm so glad you are enjoying the story this far, and I hope you'll continue to like it. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

May I have the rest of the chapters, please. The plot did not intrigue me as much as how this Draco is going to `persuade` Hermione to his POV that they should stay together in a happy marriage. Thank you and looking forward to more.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Thank you for reading and reviewing! And of course you may. The two next ones are in queue already. Hopefully the plot will grow on you ;)

You, madam, are a most cunning and cruel torturer...

Yikes! You had me convinced that this was really Draco. Draco who lived with Muggles for four years and had forgotten to be a jerk. But once he revealed that he knew Hermione was there, you can no longer believe a word he says. Why on earth does he want Hermione?Okay, I am running out of ideas here. Maybe Draco had a secret twin who they have kept in the basement until they needed him.Oh, I know. It is really Draco, and the Muggles who he lived with are Hermione's parents. He got so tired of hearing them whine about how she was never going to get married or have kids, that he bet them a ton of money that he could make both happen. He doesn't want to be tied to his family forever, so he has to follow through to cash in. The only thing that bothers me is that Lucius really seems to think it is Draco. Unless he, too, knew that she was in the room. Gah! You're killing me with this!
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
I'm happy to say, that the two chapters that are in queue will probably answer ... no, wait ... perhaps ... no, not that either, but .... Ah, well, hopefully they'll entertain you? So glad you are still me! And I do hope that the rest of the story won't disappoint.

Haha Lucius is going to have a heart attack. I can almost picture him running to pout to Narcissa about what Draco said. I love this story, the only complaint being the short chapters! lol I always get to the end and wish there was more :) Good work
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
*Snickers* I can see them both: making up excuses for Draco, fondly imagining that he will pull himself together and get over the 'phase'. And thank you! The short chapters ... ah, well ... as long as I don't bore you ...;)

I'm so glad you like it! And I promise: As soon as one chapter is up for you to read, I post the next one, so, two chapters are waiting in queue, and this story is in fact finished, only the posting remains.

I'm so glad you like her. I have this weakness for house-elves, so I felt that they needed some attention in this story.

Poor Herms, she's had a rough time of it. The 'new and improved' Draco seems worthwhile, but no way to trust him until the mystery is solved.
Response from Pyttan (Author of Deception)
Yes, she has, poor thing. And new and improved Draco would to my mind that would be a very scary thing to deal with for poor Hermione. Thank you for reading and reviewing, I hope you like how this will develop ...
