Hmm it ends on a happy note but I have to wonder how Severus will respond to her deciding without talking to him first what route to take with Lavendar.  I mean yes she's a gossip but Hermes didn't even ask her to keep mum about it.  I don't think Severus is going to be in the best mood when he shows up.  That is if he shows...considering all the students will stare and Minerva might want a word or three.  Darn, now I've gotten myself all riled up for the next chapter, and it isn't here yet.

I'm glad that Harry and Ron are reasonnable concerning Hermione's choice of partner. I must even recognize Ron's perceptiveness.

(always waited for such a moment to come!! )Or her revellation in the letter "Beware of the portraits in your quarters" I didn't believe my eyes.Did she really write this.How is she supposed to get out of this undetected?Cheeky? or just not thinking? or just thinking she would  be to smart and get round with this somehow? or setting out to be detected?Or like the first real meeting between the two.He picks her out, because the portrait lady reveals her name, and he talks to her in privat, for the very first time ( he thinks) and talks such private matters (for the very first time he thinks), and she gets away with everything.And then: “I want to speak to you, Hermione Granger. Alone.”I can only HOPE this is Neville speaking.cruel, thrilling, outstandingly cruel.you pointed out perfectly that she wants to avoid Ginny. Hope there is nothing  to fear on that front.And she told him that she loves him. Not crossed out this time.
