Reviews for Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons
Woohoo, a new chapter, all sparkly and shiny! Just the other day, I saw a fic with something dragon-y in the title and thought it would be nice if there was a new chapter of Damsels and Dragons, and look, here it is!I started reading this story ages ago (at least, it feels like ages; I could have sworn I'd read it over at ashwinder) and I am so glad you took over from Velvet Song - it would have been a shame if this wonderful story had been abandoned. As for this chapter, I'm glad that Severus is human again - unconscious and on his way to the hospital wing, but not a dragon anymore. Will the link between Hermione and Severus fade away, now that he's human again? I really liked these half-silent conversations :o).Thank you so much for your writing, I appreciate every word and look forward to more!

Thank you. There's one more chapter to go and it's with my beta right now. Up in queue as soon as I get it back and edited. ^_^
This whole story is awesome and I'm so glad that you continued to write it. You do a wonderful job. I have nothing to complain about. I hope the next chapter comes soon. I can't wait to read it.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I should hopefully have it back from my beta soon. Thanks for reading. ^_^
very good. I wasn't sure why everyone was giggling when the house elves were chattering amongst themselves. I can't wait to read more. Please don't abandon this!
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Stress relief, my dear, stress relief. *grin*Don't worry, the story is complete. I am sending each chapter to my beta just as soon as she returns the last one. ^_^
I like that Severus can hear what's happening and comment on it and only Hermione can hear him. What a bizarre feeling that would be!
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
You would be right. Just wait, it gets better. ^_~
Fun!
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
And we haven't really even started yet! ^_~
I love what Snape says at the end of this chapter. LOL. Who else would be smart enough to make all of this happen!
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Ain't it the truth. Although Hermione's not exactly a girl anymore, ya know! ^_~
Hee hee, huddled house-elves. How adorable! I'm really loving this investigation and everything. You've managed to include just about anyone who's anyone, and many who are nobodies too. Now, Gothic, is that a real language?
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I'm glad your enjoying my rather strange sense of humour. *grin* Gothic is a real language that is now extinct, as it has not been spoken since the sixth century C.E. In later chapters, I will be using some of the actual script and yes, it is a Germanic language attributed to the Visigoths, hence the name Gothic. (She says as she goes into lecture mode.) ^_~
Gothic, eh? Well that sounds about right for Voldemort - when I think of the newGoth imagery! But, no wonder Severus basically insinuated that they would need every spare second of the time he had left to find the cure and they would be cutting it close! At least the House Elves were great, great help.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I kept having this image in my head of a gaggle of house-elves huddling together and every so often one of their heads would pop up, look around, and pop down again. It just felt right. And Gothic is an actual extinct language, by the way. ^_^
It's getting there..slowly..lol. House elves who know everything that's going on..that's amusing.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Well, they have to be getting their information from somewhere, don't they? I like keeping up the suspense (or is it the humour)? ^_^
Well, things are progressing. I miss Athair. I hope there will be more of him soon.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Oh, believe me, there will be. *grin* And he's just as snarky as ever. ^_^
Well, they got a teaser for a clue. :( But at least they're moving forward and have good plans. I like the dee-vee-dee Pensieve. They might be able to market that in the future. Better than home movies!I am just loving Severus' voice in Hermione's head. And I hope we see more of Marigold. I love house-elves.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I had to figure out how all of them could fit into a Pensieve at the same time and thought "There are at least two people at Hogwarts who are excellent with Charms and Hermione is a Muggle. What would they come up with?" *lol* It was fun to write. I like house-elves too, as you'll see in an upcoming chapter. Marigold? Not so much seen in this story. Maybe in a sequel? Thanks for the review. I go 'squee' every time on of my favorite authors reviews and says they like it! ^_^
Yes, the plot certainly does thicken. But at least they are that much closer to figuring out how to help Severus.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Yes, they are. Thank you for the review. ^_^
Another snarl! I almost want to say "curses! foiled again!"
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Why? What have I ever done to you? ^_~ Thanks for reading. ^_^
I must admit the talking-to-Snape-in-her-head thing is a bit strange, but overall this continuation is very much satisfactory! I'm very happy that you decided to continue writing this story (and I'd be exceptionally pleased if Hermione had another encounter with the dragon. Hint. :)
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Oh, believe me, she will! I'm glad you're enjoying this. ^_^
Despite the dramatic side of things they are going to live a great adventure. I'm impatient to read the next chapter.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I just received the next chapter back from my beta. Expect it posted sometime in the next few days. ^_^
I love the idea of gossiping house-elves.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Well, I figure they're just like any other servant. Interesting tidbits about employers have to be passed on to other servants who may or may not pass said tidbits on to their employers. ^_~
I rather enjoyed that. It was nice to see them all interacting.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I like writing about team efforts. It makes it seem more real. ^_^
I do like where you are taking this. It is good to include others.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Wait'll ya see who else stops by. ^_^
Wow, I must be slow. Severus is obviously using a type of Legilimency to communicate with Hermione. I can't believe I only just now figured that out. But I think with everyone's collective minds put together, they can find a way to help Severus.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
It's something like that, but with a stronger bond. There's a better explanation in Velvet Song's part of the story in Chapter 13 at her profile, in my opinion. ^_^
Now the news is out things should happen. :)
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Oh, yeah! Things are going to happen all right. ^_~
Thanks for the update. It looks like something might actually be going to happen soon..I hope..lol
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I like building the suspense. It's fun. ^_^
I'm crossing my fingers that what Hermione found is important! It looks as though Hermione is going to become very good friends with the Malfoys when all is said and done. This experience is drawing them all closer for a common cause. But I get a very good feeling, since they've been so patient with her as they deal with the Dark Arts materials, that it seems they appreciate her as a fellow human being and not just as a smart Mudblood that can help their friend.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Well, I can't write an *evil* Malfoy to save my life, so probably. However, I'm just following Velvet Song's lead as to their interactions. Glad you like the story. ^_^
Well, they're on their way... but to what? LOL. I loved Hagrid's reaction.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
I did too. It just seems so 'Hagrid', if you know what I mean. ^_^
Great! Now the real challenge begins! I'm so enthused by it.
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Yeah, the real challenge begins. It will probably be a *real* challenge getting all their different ideas to work together. ^_^
wonderful, it seem as if they will be going somewhere, with some obstacles I am sure. Hope they will solve it and we can meet Severus as a human agin soon
Response from MsTree (Author of Velvet Song's Damsels & Dragons)
Let's see. Hmmm, this is Chapter 16? It might take a while. Hope you enjoy the ride. ^_^
