The war is long over and life has settled into a comfortable routine. Harry and his team of specialists have been charged with tracking down and dismantling Dark objects. While not part of the team, Harry has had occasion to call on his best friend's husband to help them. What started out as routine turned out to be anything but. One question remained: how was he going to explain to Hermione her husband had been turned into a bird?

I am amazed and enthralled with the Harry Potter universe, with the emphasis on Snape. HG/SS is my favorite ship (you have been warned). I like sci-fi ? Star Wars, Quantum Leap, Star Trek, and Ray Bradbury to name a few. Horror also catches my interest as in Stephen King. I am a married, mother of two teenagers, multiple pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, turtle), and I work way too many hours. The rest is window dressing and subject to change without notice. Cute story
Very cute, and I love having the 2 alternate endings.
I loved the story! I do prefer the second ending; I like that the epilogue could go with either!
Yeah I preferred the second ending as well! It had a better twist - shoulda stuck with it babe!Loved it though - Edgar Allan Poe is one of my favourite authors!

This is the favorite, hands down. Both endings occured to me when I started. Since I couldn't decide between the two, I wrote both.
Teehee... Poor Snape. Hermione so rough on him. It's not like he wanted to be turned into a bird while doing Harry a favor. I wonder if he'll be somewhat humbled. LOL

Regardless of his form, Severus is always snarky.
The entire time I'm reading this, my mind is drumming out the lings to Poe. Great so far!

Thank you, this one seemed to be the most obvious, and expected.Quite a few expressed concern my 'evil persona' would emerge and write the second ending. We shall see. (insert evil cackle here)

Ending two is my pick. Ending one is the ending we expected, nice but, well, expected. This one is great fun!

Ending two seems to be the favorite hands down. You're right, one was expected, but two takes you by surprise. Glad you're enjoying the story.
I'm not sure which I'm enjoying more - your story or the brilliant chapter titles!

Harry's team is the keystone cops. I hope Severus has an inkling of what's up.

Very cute - they're not so much worried that Severus is a bird as what Hermione will have to say about it, lol! Poor Hermione, I'd have thought she'd be angry, not sad... but then there's those pregnancy hormones.

Harry isn't too fond of Severus, he's more worried about what Hermione will do to him at the moment.
You've made your tale HBP compliant so deftly! Hmm, Snape turned into a raven, not necessarily Snape's animagus form - that's a unique twist!

LOL...yeah, it's HBP compliant in a rather subtle way. I didn't want to spend too much time creating an elaborate defense for Severus, but the story does deal with the basic elements from the book.I think we may find out Severus is an unregistered animagus in book seven, but up 'til now, it's not fact. Actually, on many levels, a raven fits the Potions master.
I think that my favorite part of this sorting ending, is the first sorting where the three friend go into Gryffindor. It's just sweet to think that nothing ever ends, it just keeps cycling through. Somewhere out there, there is a new trio begining their adventures at Hogwarts. Lovely story, my dear! :)

I enjoyed bot endings very much, but I have to say I like this one best! The whole thought that they've been fussing over an actual raven while Severus is lost in Russia just cracked me up! Well done! :)

Thanks. Join the crowd, this seems to be the favorite ending. The first seemed logical, but the second was much funnier, that was the reason I couldn't decide between the two, so I wrote both.
I thought both final chapters were good. But personally I prefered the second ending, it just seemed ironic that they gone to all that trouble and Snapes in Russia.Best wishes.

Ending two seems to be the favorite. Keeping some of the same dialogue and prose for both proved to be an interesting exercise in writing. Glad you enjoyed the story.
