Reviews for Prisoners of Azkaban, Probationary Diaries August 2009, Prisoners #19-09-1979 and #09-01-1960
This is very interesting. Her obsession with times and dates and numbers, I can see it as a way for her to remain sane in the beginning, but it's only turned into her being more insane.

Indeed! Both of them have had to develop survival strategies in prison. But it remains to be seen how much those will hinder Severus and Hermione in the real world ...
I'm enjoying this story so much! I tried to wait til there were so many chapters i couldn't read it it all in one go, but it was too good to put down so now I just devour and wait, devour and wait.Delicious

Thank you for that lovely compliment! I'm thrilled to hear my story could make you impatient like that. :-)
This is such a somber beginning with Hermione being in a cell recounting her memories of better days. The memory of Snape's aftershave just a kiss away... and where is our Severus? Eh? Where is our Severus?Beth

Hanging out in another cell. ;-) And I agree, it's a rather sad and melancholy beginning. But maybe things will get better. Eventually. ;-)
You really evoke their pain and distress, yet manage to do so in such a tender and poignant way. I look forward to what happens when they move location.

Thank you for your kind words. I'm so happy to hear that I managed to convey the emotions of the scene.
It feels so utterly bleak, yet i can't help feeling hope for them. Beautifully written.

There must be hope. Always. Somewhere.
I am completely captivated by this - you have given them such an original voice. I don't know where you are planning to take it, but I'm going to enjoy finding out.

Tough conditions. Who is left to vouch for her?

Not many ...
Sounds hopeless, but where there's independent thought, there's hope. :)

Thank you for your kind words. I'm thrilled you enoyed the story and especially the epilogue.
Thank you, thank you for this amazing, soulful and more often than not, heartbreaking story...!!!I´m sorry, I didn`t review from chapter one on, I have to confess, I often forget about the praise for all the wonderful authors out there...call me lazy if you wish...I read your entry before on lifejournal, cause I hate reading WIP`s, but when you posted it here, I reread. I rarely read a story that enthralling as yours. Fantastic writing and 5 stars for you! (...even if I had to cry sometimes...;-) )

Thank you for reading, and for letting me know that you enjoyed the story. :)
Amazing. A brilliant, fitting conclusion- and your invention of the naga actually works, better than any other new magical being I've read in fanfiction. Well done!
Response from JunoMagic (Author of Prisoners of Azkaban, Probationary Diaries August 2009, Prisoners #19-09-1979 and #09-01-1960)
The Naga is one of my favourite mythological figures. And based on the snake's name "Nagini" I still can't shake the feeling that JKR toyed with ideas from Indian mythology herself. I'm thrilled that you liked that twist!
This was a great read, sorry to se it finished - nah not really. Your comments and telling of their later lives was very enlightning and wonderful to se they had good lives after all those awful years. I liked the way you explained their very different ways of coping with the long imprisonment, interesting tactics and beliveable I think. Looking forward to more works from your hand.

Thank you very much for your many kind comments and your thoughtful review. I'm glad you found the epilogue so enlightening and enjoyable.
This was an incredible, incredible story! The story itself was tragic and angsty and psychologically violent in some regards, but through it all, gave the impression of some sort of underlying mission that you really didn't understand until you read all the prologues. I think the postscript is just as important to the story AS the story itself. The way you told it - in diary form, really didn't lend itself to too much backstory or everyday detailing. That's not a bad thing - it WORKED. And worked beautifully just the way it was. But for one to really understand what happened to send them to prison, where all these people were, what was going on in Wizarding society at the time beyond the snapshots, you really needed to write the end notes the way you did.Amazing. And I'm really amazed that I picked up on the two points that I did without researching anything! The fact that Armita Agan was Nagini - well, actually WHAT she was, took me by suprise. I didn't think to actually research Naga. I just went back in and theorized from your clues that she wasn't "normal". The slithering, the hissing, the NAG part (thank God I remembered Riki Tiki Tavi as good as I did!), it all fit. And Lucius came to Severus' side to vouch for him after all. With his prior attitudes, I really didn't see that one coming. Lucius is always portrayed as power-hungry and not willing to dirty his hands with plebian chores, so I really didn't expect him to have anything to do with any common-prisoners such as Hermione and Severus. Even though at one point in Canon history, Severus and Malfoy are seen as friends, but that doesn't always equate as two people being close or staying close through life. It's good to see he could put aside his biases for a while and do something good for his friend. And to find out that they stayed in a polyamorous relationship with Draco for the rest of their lives? Unbelievable. Well, I know the only reason I find it unbelievable is because of Canon and for the simple fact that in our society, you don't hear of such things happening (TLC channel notwithstanding), though they probably do happen more than we imagine. In the context of the story though, it's entirely plausible. Draco needed somebody, they were there. They knew him and he felt the safest. Why need to look anywhere else? They were family. All a family. Again, thank you so much for this amazing epic! Five star review for you!!!

I have to admit that your review made me so happy, and made me feel so self-conscious (there was much blushing and hot cheeks) that I only now return here to reply.Thank you.It was wonderful to post this story at TPP because of readers like you -- who didn't run off to read the story elsewhere -- but reviewed it here. I'm thrilled to hear that you think the story structure of diaries and the epilogue worked. I remember well how much I enjoyed the structure when I worked on the story, but also the misgivings I had, especially about the epilogue. I'm happy that it has worked for so many readers. :)*grins* re: Nagini -- That one was a difficult riddle as riddles go. But then too many books and even more fanfics give away the solutions to their mysteries waaay too soon. I'm only grateful I managed to write enough hints into the story that they all fall into place afterwards, so that readers are not disappointed. Lucius: I think I'm weary of predictable bad guys. Instead I've developed a liking for bad guys doing a good thing when everyone expect them to do something bad ... Of course Lucius probably did it just to get his son back, or at least to get back in contact with his son. But that doesn't change the effect. :-)The threesome: I definitely agree that normally, in canon, and just generally, it's totally unbelievable. Because of that I'm thrilled when I hear that I managed to make it believable in the context of this story. YAY!So, thank you for taking the time to read the story, and even more for taking the time to write so many thoughtful and interesting comments.
Fantastic! A friend had recommended this story to me and Im so glad this person did.

Thank you! There was no way all of this could be reasonably done in the diaries themselves, or even in a normal epilogue. I'm glad you approve. :-)
Wow...you are amazing! I love the detail that you put into this story. I cannot even describe how fantastic this is...Definitely one of my favorite stories of all time.
