Lucius Malfoy has finally realized the Dark Lord has been spinning nothing but lies. Unfortunately, it took him losing his family to realize this. Now, he is trying to atone for his sins. Will anyone trust him? Will anyone help him regain his place in society? He has a plan. Set after HBP. Rating is for later chapters. Additionally, there are two chapters that have some torture, but nothing overly graphic. Nominated for Feb 2006 Multifaceted Awards in Best Dramatic and Best Het (Adult) Fics

I picked up the Harry Potter fandom around the time the first movie came out and began writing fanfic early 2005 after discovering the adult online community. I identify most closely with the Slytherins and you will see my taste in writing lends me to writing about Slytherins more often than not. In addition to fanfiction, I also make fanvids on the Harry Potter fandom. I'm a Perfect Imagination acredited beta and am willing to help authors. My main 'ship interests are Snape/OC (never really got into the SS/HG pairing) and LM/any female (with HG as a new favorite). I have dabbled in RL/OC and RL/NT and am okay with those pairings. Thanks, Kira. The hardest thing about this story has been maintaining the drama for so long. I'm glad you are enjoying all the little twists and turns. You are now coming up on the part where my muses took their "left turn and Albuquerque" to quote Bugs Bunny. This is a story that is ending nothing like I initially imagined. LOL
Good chapter. I'm glad Snape is a "good" guy. I can only hope that he'll not killed and be able to go free (Lucius too!).Hermione need to be more careful, huh? lol silly girl!

Yes, I couldn't very leave Snape evil, or at least overtly evil.

Oh boy, Ginny's got a rude awakening coming towards her. I feel bad though. I get the feeling Hermione is going to be shunned for her feelings.

Yup, it will be a rude awakening for everyone once that news gets out in the open. Poor Hermione is definitely dreading it happening before she's able to convince the others he's not evil anymore.
Lucius is such a sneaky Slytherin. It's a really great story

I had a feeling it was Severus. I'm wondering if he's playing both sides of the coin here, or if there was indeed some plan between he and Dumbledore.It would make sense for Severus not to trust Lucius, if Severus is still working for the Order covertly. Lucius seems to be falling under Hermione's spell.I'm looking forward to more.

It was a little mystery, but not a big one that it was Severus. As for which side either of them is on, that's going to be a good question, isn't it?
Yes, Lucius does seem to be falling under Hermione's spell, but is he really or is he just making her think that?

Hmm...all interesting things developing.You need to write faster. Maybe stop sleeping or something so you can write more LOL.

It's not so much a write faster as post faster. LOL I have 21 chapters done, but I need to go through them for last typos (I keep finding those) and get them formatted properly. I'm trying for every other day, but it isn't always happening.

Glad you found time in RL to take a break and come catcch up. This is such a fun story for me to write and I'm glad that people are enjoying it.
I am quite happy with the turn of events concerning Ron, but being a Snape/ Hermione shipper, it's hard for me to see him around and her not be with him. Did that make sense? lolI'm naughty, I know. Good chapter.

SW, I can totally understand you having your preferences. I have read stories that don't have my preferred ship, even though the preferred characters are around and find myself wishing I could see my preferred ship. I think that makes less sense than what you wrote. LOL

Please tell me in the end Lucius will have the opportunity to punch Ron in the face. I'm looking forward to reading the next chapter and seeing who is in his room, but I've got a couple of ideas who it might be.

Ah, Ron. He's a pain in the butt here, isn't he? I can't make promises on what will happen to him. That would be giving away part of the story.
