I've been a fan of JK Rowling for a long time, but only turned to fanfiction after DH - read it in one day, cried for three, turned to the internet the day after for more. I favor Severus/ Hermione pairings, especially those with lots of chapters and lovely smut scenes - sex by association, pathetic, isn't it?? I've posted a beta profile, if you'd like to check it out.
In real life I am a single mom living in a small town. Rewarding and boring and the same time. Lucky me ;)

I can picture the cinnamon silk sheath on Hermione. It suits her. I also love her hair in a pixie cut. It is very flattering on her.

Thank you very much for your kind review! It took a long time to get them together; I'd have had them in bed (and in the shower and in the library) a long time ago, but sometimes, things can't be rushed. I like the think the wait was worth it :)
Is Severus thinking, "What does he think I can do to help Hermione if he knows I'm not talking to her about the information she wants?" Is this guy code for "I think you two would make a good couple" and Severus gets it? I've been really tired and experiencing burn out so maybe I'm dense right now.
I love the techie influence. Ron is great in this story. He hardly ever gets enough credit, does he?
Just what I need on a boring Friday night. And it looks like everyone is the good guy in this story. I like it.
Very nice, I liked the conclusion Hermione came too and I'm wondering how she will tackle this latest project.

This is such a romantic chapter, and I adored how Severus knew just what Hermione needed at each point of the evening. He had the right words, the right touch, the right suggestions to help her weather the emotions that this night always seemed to bring out in her. I'm glad that she wanted to go to his place. Going back to her's would have brought thoughts that she is better off without. Something tells me that this night will be very special for them both.

Thank you so very much for remarking about Fred and George; I know it was a bit of a mash-up to read (explaining it was difficult for me), but I wanted some happiness for George, and I thought it was possible for identical twins to share a little bit of each other's souls or spirits, for they were one before becoming two :)Thanks for continuing to read and review, it means a lot!

I don't know about that - he is Molly and Arthur's son, after all, isn't he? I think you've been reading too many Ron-bashing stories that you've come to consider the selfishness as a given. While no one is completely good or completely evil, I think we're all able to live up to or live down our reputations.However, it is quite all right if you decide not to read further :)
I can't wait for the gala, I think Harry called it right and I'm looking forward to some snark.

The summary of your story has intrigued by since it was first posted, however it is my habit to only start stories that have a few chapters to them. I am thoroughly impressed at how quickly your work has grown! And thrilled that the story is as good or better than the summary teasing it. I love this chapter! I like how you let us see Hermione's thoughts tumble one after the other as she came to understand what she was really feeling. I guess she had been so angry for so long that anger became her default emotion... that is until Severus asked her to the Gala.My favorite part, of course, is when they both stepped toward one another and kissed. It was a very small kiss to be sure, but it was big enough that they both knew that the other was looking forward to being together. Well done!Beth
