Hello all, I am a 53 year old from NZ. Although SSHG is how I started and still my main pairing, I'll give pretty much any pairing a try, whether it be reading or writing. Sev and Herms need a bit of variety at times. ;)
Reviews for The Runner
Dear God, that gave me chills...totally in a good way, LOL! Very erotic and evocative--sunrise has nothing on Snape-rise
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Snape-rise! ROFL. I like it! :)
Wow! Yes, the temperature is definitely rising.I find this story about Snape as an athlete a different approach to his character. Usually an author mentions that he is fit, but to actually center the story around his athleticism makes for a refreshing change.Looking forward to chapter 5!

I always thought that with the stodgy diet Hogwarts seems to offer, that he needed more than stress to stay so lean. :)
Whoo - the temperature is definitely rising! This was very erotic. I like the way that you're keeping the pace steady and not rushing things. Your characterizations are also good, as usual. Thank you, Cat

Good point. Better warn the local seismologists not to panic. :)

Wow. Things are moving along quite nicely. Ack, someone's gonna see them! Okay, I'm calm again. Can the semester end tomorrow, then they can stop hiding from everyone.
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Just as well most teenagers like their beds in the mornings, isn't it? :)
Things certainly are heating up nicely between the two. :)
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
That they are, luv, that they are! :)

This is quickly becoming my favorite WIP that I follow. Of which there are about 50, though only 20 get updated regularly. Keep it up!

Ah, poor neglected sunrise. But... so....hot.... *Licks her lips* Keep going, authoress!
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Hmm... sunrise... aroused Severus, sunrise... aroused Severus. Not much of a decision , really! ;)
nice job with your build -up and timing - you are doing an excellent job with this piece - thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Thank you for reviewing, mom! :)
*sticks her head out the window into the 18 degree air*Oh. My. GOD. That was fantastic. And so unexpected that it would progress all of a sudden. Wahoo! Can't wait to see more!
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
You know what they say. Separation makes the heart grow fonder and all! :)
His behavior makes no sense at all. I would really like an insight into what the heck he was thinking when he decided to carry on after the first time he caught her perving on him. The idea of Snape as a runner is out there. The idea of him as an exhibitionist is totally AU.
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
I appreciate your comment. Yes, he is not the usual Snape. I am trying to portray him as someone comfortable in his own skin, despite his usual desire for privacy. The fact that she chooses to keep coming tells him that she accepts him as he is. After all, she didn't need to go back after the first time. The fact that he allows her to watch indicates his need for acceptance. It's just a different way of portraying those ideas. :)
My, this is flowing along nicely. I'm still VERY jealous of Hermione here; this is such a sweet and intimate courtship, spiced with the need for secrecy. I say again, yummy, yummy, yummy! Thank you for posting, Cat
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Thank you, Cat! :)
Oooo, My name is Severus. It seems like a perfectly innocuous line, but I loved it. I also loved how their relationship is progressing nicely in this chapter.
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Thanks, Prof! :)
I love this! Still Professor Snape but also flirtatious Severus. Where can I get one?
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
I think you can Google him. ;)
Right! The subtle caresses, the brief touching, the ordinary statements and spoken observations, all are the devices employed by budding lovers who do not care for others to know what they are about. My name is Severus. Those four little words spoke volumes! I can't wait for your next update! I have fallen head over heels in love with The Runner.Beth
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
I think you and Hermione have something in common! :)
Response from braye27 (Reviewer)
Ummmmm... I think you know me too well... you're exactly right! 8^)
What a beautifully written description of the subtle growth of their relationship. When Hermione brushed his cheek with a kiss before she left the stands I damn near threw my arm out of whack as I pumped my fist in the air. YES!!!I love this chapter. You should give yourself a pat on the back. It's perfect!Beth
Response from sunny33 (Author of The Runner)
Don't damage yourself, Beth! :)
