I adore the world of HP.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to stir my cauldron.

What Minerva would say were she to know that Severus is finally eager to learn about Harry's life. And poor Ginny! Her death is symply horrible, even of she didn't suffer and died happy.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Definitely a horrible death. :( I think Minerva had a hand in this. :) LOL
Severus and his world known insecurities. I don't think he will ever get rid of them. But that's what makes him so attractive, right? Still, I wonder if he can let his guard down long enough to befriend someone.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
I'm thinking so. :)

I found already Harry as bird a brilliant idea, but now Snape, too - brilliant idea! Their meeting goes surprisingly well and was told simply wonderfully.
Author's Response:
thanks! :)

And now they meet - and manage quite well to hide the fact that both like to be friendly. Old habits die hard and can be quite an obstacle to something new.
Author's Response: LOL That's so true!

Ah, the cultural misunderstandings! *smiles* One probably has to make similar mistakes to fully appreciate them; I think they're really cute.
And Snape seems some kind of being at a loss... cute in its way, too.
Author's Response: Thank you! I hope you continue to like this.

Does this necklace-throwing and breast-showing custom really exist? As an European, I "grew up" with the cliché of the prudish and uptight Americans and am rather surprised that such a custom would be possible.
The encounter between Lily and Snape is lovely, as is your showing of Harry's kids in this and the next chapters.
Author's Response: It sure does exist! :) Well, only here in New Orleans that I know of. Women show their boobs for idiots with beads just to get one. :) We call this Mardi Gras season (lots of parades with people on floats throwing beads and goodies out), but on Bourbon Street, you see that all the time now.
Alcina vom Steinsberg's response: Get an idiot or a bead? *rofl* Weird passtime. Oh well - don't ask what people do here in Germany on Carnival time... I'm rather glad not to live in a "dangerous" region *g*.

Most stories written in the first persona I saw so far really had difficulties in pulling this off - your storie definitly doesn't, but gives a refreshing point of view instead.
Harry's wish for this escape is truly understandable, as is Snape's living there for somehow the same reasons.
Author's Response: Thanks! I had reservations about using first person at first, but I'm glad I did. :)
I'm not surprised at their reactions to each other. Severus has just the right amount of prickly to him.

thank you
This is such a well-written story. I don't usually like the first-person style, but I really like it here. Having each chapter split on the POV is really interesting. I am really enjoying this.~pb~
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Thanks! :) I fretted over the first person thing for a little while. LOL
poor Ginny...but I love Lily's middle name - Lily Luna - very Rowlingesque
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
thanks! That's where I swiped it from. :)
Eww, what a horrible way to lose your wife!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Yeah. :(
It's quite sad that Ginny died the way that she did, and in front of the children and all. I wonder how Snape will ever come to trust Harry?
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Hopefully, I'll have that explained in the coming chapters! :)
Interesting to see that Snape is so understanding at once. I'd love to see them make up...
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Thanks. :) More up now. Hope you like it.
Time to reconsider their preconceptions.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Definitely.
Suspicious, isn't he. Mind you, you, it's not paranoia if it is really happening! :)
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
LOL
It should be quite the experience when these two meet. I wonder who will be more shocked?
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Hhahaha! I know! ~hopes you like~
He doesn't know their names. This explains quite a few thing. I wonder if he'll be more shoked by meeting Harry or by discovering Al's complete name. Again great chapter.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
Both will be shocking. :) Hope you like!

oh its coming along - I can't wait for the mtg. I just hope Severus doesn't go all snarky - though we all know and love that he does. :) And will Harry have the kids with him when they go back to the shop? Exciting exciting
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Starting Over)
You shall see! :) Thanks for reading. :)
