This story is set in a near-future Japan, where the breeding of genetically modified animals for a variety of uses has become big business. The plot looks at the predicament of one such creature when it is revealed that it has some human genes included in its creation and follows the relationship that develops between it and a human who refuses to see it as simply an animal to be owned and used by humans.
Prologue: Two children, one human and the other a genetically modified chimera meet for the first time and feel an instant bond of friendship between them despite their differences.

A published Aussie author for a number of years now, I decided to dabble in the waters of HP fanfic for the first time. I hope my stories are acceptable.
Reviews for Love Inhuman
How nice for him to be treated as a real person! At least by one human, anyway. There's something sick about the DNA donor "owning" another sentient being. I suspect that will become more important as the story progresses. This is an amazingly well written book. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Oh, wow. I love that their connection is what allowed him to survive, and that they find each other when they most need a friend who understands them.
Intriguing start! I like that you capture the voice of a child in the observations and reactions. That's rare.
*is stunned* Wow. *shivers* Montaro is just magnificent in this, but it's scary. Awesome but scary.
How horrible! I wonder if he was the one originally behind HAGEO, or if he just took advantage of a group they'd mentioned at dinner. And they have her eating the same mush designed to feed omnivorous GMAs--gross! I'm so weirded out by the 'loving' look he gave her. I wonder how much more dangerous he could become as he starts to go through withdrawl. I hope she can learn to do that out-of-body thing and contact Miyatsu.
Oh no! Poor Miyatsu! It was heartbreaking to see everyone's reactions to the scene, though it does seem that she's really alive. It's interesting to see all of the different personalities the kids have, and it gave me a smile to imagine M&M, their tails entwined as they walk around, so cute!
Oh, goodness! Well, I can't blame the vet for being shocked. I don't imagine any doctor appreciating someone being naked in bed with a hospital patient.
I'm so happy to see them together again, and I love Aiko's spunk to threaten the doctor with malpractice for the treatment of her 'husband.' Squee!
