A well-written and really catching chapter! It leaves me rather puzzled, though, as so much doesn't seem to make sense right now... so I will patiently wait for you to tell us.
Author's Response: Alcina-- thank you so much for this wonderful review! I really appreciate it. This is my first longer story, so any and all words of encouragement/concrit/comments are greatly appreciated! Ah, yes. You will find out what is going on... eventually. I hope you continue to enjoy! ~kizzy
All evidence aside, I still don't believe it. Can't wait to see your story unfold. In hindsight, I wonder if Hermione wishes she had stayed anyway and if she had would things have gone differently.
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Oh, Hermione definitely wishes she would have stayed and saved him, so to speak. I don't want to give anything away... but of course us fangirls must place our trust in Severus!! I'll upload the next chapter tonight. Thanks for reviewing, dear-- love hearing from you!! ~kizzy

How interesting!! I can't wait to read more. But did Hermione just trust the "official" pensieve? Because surely there must be more to the killings... as I'm sure we'll find out in further chapters. :*)
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Hermione, perhaps, was not as clever as usual in dealing with this situation. And of course you will find out... eventually *chuckles evilly* I'll upload the next chappie tonight, dear. Thanks for reading and reviewing,

Zinnia? Must you continue with the flower names? Well not continue since she is long since died I guess! Icky. Dare I hope that it is Mr. Severus Snape crashing through the door? ((wimpers))
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Well, JKR started the tradition, LOL!! Thanks, Molly. More soon!!
Drats, another evil cliff hanger! Bad, bad author! Very suspenseful chapter, I can't wait to see how it works out.

Nice work my dear. You have really 'fleshed' this story out from what I read before (bad pun not intended, but kept once realised...). I will be interested where you take this now that (Ta Daa!) Severus saves the day!
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Hehe. Fleshed out... LOL!! Yes, well, at this point, the story is done. Needs to be polished up a bit, but I will be glad to move onto the next thing. Thanks, reets, for everything!
Well, I must admit that you had me completely fooled -- my hunch about the murderer's identity was quite wrong. My first suspicion was that it was Henry -- but as the story went on, it became clear that it couldn't possibly be him. That's when I started to think that perhaps it might be Solomon -- that the loss of his wife drove him insane and eventually caused him to come up with a twisted plan to resurrect her. I never even thought about the guard. In fact, I didn't even remember him -- I see now that I shall have to go back and re-read some of the earlier chapters and look for what I missed...
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Hi,
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
! More about Solomon in the next chapter (Which I hope to submit today), and we'll talk then. ;-) Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Thank you....at least we know that someone came for her (Severus to the rescue)!
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
And in the nick of time, in true heroic fashion. LOL! Thanks, sregnor. More to come soon.
SEVERUS! IS HERE!! WHOOP! But leaving it there? With only two chapters to go... evil author LOL! Love this.
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Thanks, sweetie! More will be up soon. I plan on putting the next chapter into the Q today!!
I'm going to ask a slightly different question . . . where (or why) did you learn what a decaying body looks like? O_o
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
The description in the chapter is all due to the brilliance of one of my betas, reets67. Reets is a charming, lovely woman with a background in pathology, so she knows! Not me. Before her, I was woefully ignorant of the various stages of decomposition. LOL! Thanks,
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
!!
YES!!! Here comes Severus, and he's wearing his Underwear over his trousers and his special Superman T-Shirt!!!Awesome chapter... although it did make me go 'eughhh!' lol....Can't wait for the update.
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
OMG can you imagine Sev in a superman costume?!?! I wish I had some artistic talent to render that particular image, hehe. Thanks, sweetie.
Oh! That was exciting, gross, intriguing. You've truly displayed the mind of a madman. But why, why, why did you leave us hanging? Nasty kizzy and her terribly nail-biting cliffies! I would HOPE that the next chapter is in the queue, or close to it! By the way, super-fantastic job, m'dear.
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Close to it, I promise, Deb. Just have to polish it up, and I'm putting in the Q today. Thank you so much! *grin*
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! you're evil. i'm sure i've said it before. pure evil. and i love it.
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
I love it too!! Pure evil *smirks* Thanks, Fatalani. More up soon.
OMG. That desciption was PERFECT. Exactly what I wanted you to say! Squeeeeee!!!! Great job!!!!
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
*evil chuckle* Yes, rather grotesque, wasn't it?! Reets67 helped me with that. Thanks, sweetie!!
Eww, I don't think I would want to come back to life if my body looked like Zinnia's. He was kissing her? Major gross out. LOL. OMG I hope it is Severus to the rescue!
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
LOL! Squick warning indeed. The calvary to the rescue, and just in time, too! Thanks,
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
!!
OMG!!! It's Severus isn't it??? *sniff* I absolutely love that darling man!! Okay, dead body description is absolutely horrid, but accurate from what I've heard. Good job. Things like that ought to turn one's stomach! I am loving this... I only hope when all is said and done that Sev & Hermione waltz off into the sunset!! *hugs*
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
I love that man too!!! I know, the description was gross, but definitely accurate-- take from one of my betas, a real life pathologist! As for waltzing off into the sunset, um... you'll see! ;-)

Oh my GOD - that's what I think after every chapter! The corpse made me feel sick. And of course Severus would come!!
Author's Response: I was a bit queasy writing it... one of my betas is a real life pathologist, and so I glean as much info from her as I can... sometimes rather gruesome info, lol! Thanks, sweetie!
Yay! The cavalry arrives! :)
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
And just in time, too! ;-)
HERE THEY COME TO SAVE THE DAY! i can't wait to see who it is!

Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)

Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)

yikes! the thot plickens! it's getting even more exciting. thanks so much and i look forward to further developements.
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Thanks, kim! Exciting is always good! The next chapter is in the Q, so it will be up soon.
I know running away would have messed up your storyline, but I don't want him to go back to prison. And she would be safer. Although I guess Henry and Snape will be able to find common ground in saving the woman they both love.
Response from kizzy7 (Author of This Present Darkness)
Yes, yes both Henry and Snape are united with that in mind, at least. Thanks, dear. Next chapter is in the Q
