I have to say that I am glad that Hermione is living her own life, and not trying to be who her friends want her to be. I can only hope that Ginny realizes that she is allowed to like and/or love anyone she wants and helps Ron and Harry get over themselves. Great chapter. -- B

I don't think that anyone, not even close friends have any write to tell you who you should or should not go out with. I'm so glad that she told Ron and Ginny that and turned the tables on them. They wouldn't be happy about being told who to like or date, and it is the same thing.

I think they are just letting their former predjudices cloud their judgement. But that's normal for anyone to do.

I'm looking forward to more and wonder if Harry will ever get that stick out from up his ass to realize he's not the last word on everything.

But, I wish, instead of fussing at her, he would have gathered her in his arms, and dragged her to her chambers to pick out something more appropriate... I have a comment about Southern's notes, it is easier for Harry to blame the person that is around, that he does not like, for the pain in his life. In this case, Snape killed Dumbledore right in front of him and he has a hard time getting over it. Personally I hope that Hermione hexes him and set his a** straight. He is getting a little high and mighty if he thinks he can dictate who she sees and what type of relationship they have. She doesn't do that to him. -- B

I liked the chapter. I think that you did an admirable job of keeping Draco in character. I do have to agree with Southern in my hope that the Defese professor/Head of Slytherin teaches that boy a lesson in respect. However, I think that Hermione reaction to Harry was spot on, she cannot let him get away with things that she would not allow anyone else to get away with. I hope that was not too reduntant. good frist chapter

Oh, I think Severus handled the situation with Rosmerta badly...he should have elaborated a bit, rather than just saying 'I have plans'.  And he should not have let her kiss him on the lips - that is a personal, intimate thing, at least to me it is...especially when you have a date sitting across the table from you when something like that happens.

 And I don't blame Hermione for her reaction - knowing that your...lover, boyfriend?...has a past is one thing, but having it thrust in your face and handled badly by said lover is a whole other thing.  Taking some time to think alone probably isn't a bad idea.

Anyway, I'm loving this story!

Well I would have to say that that was one of the few confrontations between Hermione and Severus, as lovers, that they cleared up everything in one meeting. And leave it to Southern to think that Severus was getting soft. Too funny. But I loved it none the less.
