Another wonderful chapter, as I've said before you are a master of UST and even though I groan with frustration at the end of each chapter it's a good groan... did that come out wrong? I love Snape's stillness, he's there but he's not there (I guess that comes with being a spy), you've captured them both wonderfully and I love the idea that he had to put up a fight to get Hermione her scholarship.Anyhoo this story is a masterpiece and I urge anyone trawling the reviews to read it.PS. Thank you for NOT posting the song lyrics, whilst I've never flamed anyone about my dislike of it in stories I just plain hate it, even when I like the song, because they rarely if ever fit with my perception of the characters.

Ahh! This is so lovely! I can't wait until you update again. After reading the end of chapter 14 I was staring at the scroll bar, not fully realizing that it was the last chapter!!

Thank you for adding your song choice  and for naming the U2 song .I think it's nice you let people incert there choice: but i very much wanted to hear yours .I  went to itune's and bought it just to hear it . Not somthing i would have found on my own  but i like it .I found other music the same way and i'll tell you it make's me think of the story it came from when i hear it.I love this story and i know that this is supposed to be the sweet respit from angst  but i am a dork and angst i can take but this this stuff  take's me back to being a teenager and all the play it cool nervous don't blow it oh that sounded better in my head  STUFF   from my own crushe's it's KILLING me  i can hardly read it im so nervous  for her. If she just had the definitave "yes he want's me" But  he just keep's leaving her twisting in the wind it's just painful.  Oh sure he taunt's her a little here and there . HE knows she want's him and let's face it he is to slitherin not to injoy THAT.It's just not fair he has all the card's .But one could argue no self respecting slitherin would have it any other way ! ! can hardly wait for your next update .

Now as much as I love this story, I'm starting to feel slightly ill-at-ease. There was one part particularly that felt off: Hermione's reference to only having one thing to offer Snape in gratitude. I would hope that our Hermione has a better sense of herself than to consider that all she could offer him, or all he would want from her. Then again, perhaps I'm just reading it incorrectly - in which case, disregard my slight criticism, the rest of the chapter was lovely, and certainly felt suitably in-character with respect to the others. You're most definitely doing a fine job building up the tension before their kiss! Can't hardly wait.

Oh, and the way Snape and Hermione spoke with their eyes was absolutely perfect.

well, Snape seems a little ooc, but I think there are undercurrents that I'm missing.  I am enjoying the story very much.

Bliss! I leave town for a few days and there are two new chapters. To make things even better, things are progressing nicely -- very, VERY nicely.Oh, and for the record, I didn't find the "saccharine quailty of the chapter" sickening at all. After all the building tension and angst, the sweetness was like a reward. My favorite moment has to be the shared eye contact after Remus and Tonks' announcement (sigh).Keep up the good work!

I LOVED this chapter and didn't think it sickly saccharine at all -- I found the feelings expressed by everyone very authentic. Very well done!  Personally, I had "Unchained Melody" running through my head while I read and if that ain't saccharine background music...
