Whew! *fans self*  That was one heck of a way to end the story, m'dear.  I've really enjoyed it, and really the only times I've squawked in indignation have been on your characters' behalf.  (The alternative being squawking with shock at how OOC they're acting.  None of that here.)  You brought us from a very awkward place to a rather dark one, and now to completion without too much cheese or syrupy sweetness. (Though if you've ever had baked brie with a fruit sauce, you know that's not always a bad thing.  Uhm.  Ahem. Right.)  Jolly good show. I'll shut up now.  -L

O M G this is such a lovely and beautiful story.  I am so glad I stumbled upon it, the ending almost made me cry.  :)

I have really enjoyed reading your story.  Your portrayal of Severus, for me, is in keeping with JKR's writings.  Terrific job.  Looking forward to more stories from you.

Beautifully written.  I really like this story.  Very appropriate.  I am sad to see it finished so quickly, and I would adore an epilogue (a wedding, Hermione's feelings about working at Hogwarts, possibly a child?), but you're the author and the most important part is that you keep writing what you like to write.

Great story.  I think I'd have enjoyed more, but this was a logical end.  Better to leave the reader wishing for more than to continue on and become muddled.Miriam

You have captured what many of the "big name" writers have and continued to fail to do: the nuances and subtlety of any sort of relationship that would develop between Severus and Hermione. Too often I find myself reading syrupy stories or such horribly angst-ridden, violent fics that in my mind do not do either character justice. Your portrayal is quite in character, and so are all the peripheral characters. I also liked how you developed Ginny Weasley. I think she is often miscast and here you made her into a very believable young woman who has risen above her trials in life. I know you said you aren't an experienced writer, but I wouldn't have known it if you hadn't mentioned it first. Really, this is lovely and stirring all at the same time. I hope that you have more stories I can enjoy, but if not, this was definitely superb.

I enjoyed this chapter because it focused on the going-ons of everyone else. It also gave Hermione a chance to talk things over with Ginny. It seems Ginny has a pretty accurate sense of what Hermione and Severus are feeling, which is good to help Hermione work through any insecurities she has in regards to the budding relationship. It looks like Severus is also ready to have that talk with Hermione. He's certainly all business-like. That could go either way; something physical happening, or he breaks what they have off. I guess the only way to find out will be to keep reading. Keep up the great job you're doing with this story.
