Oh no.  And the timing can be no mistake - if anything, that should have come out right after the trial, except for Umbridge really wanting to make Hermione's life a living hell.  Time to send Umbridge back to the centaurs!

That cow knew just when to strike, I wish she gets what she deserves later. I couldn't read this chapter fast enough, I knew what was coming, but still. It'll be interesting how you'll have Ron and Harry react, so far they've been very subdued, perhaps out of sheer exhaustion from the war. I'd love to know McGonagall and Snape's reaction. It's frustrating that we don't know Snape's reasoning behind his current cold demeanor, but it adds to tension since we are literally in Hermione's shoes via POV. I'm really enjoying this fic.

NOOOOOO!  This is going from bad to worse for Hermione.  I recommend that she use a bit of Polyjuice when not in class.... she might be able to avoid the brunt of the ensuing jokes and taunts. ;)Great chapter, got me to the edge of my seat for a moment there.  Hope to see more... very soon? *grin*

Wow.  Well, Umbridge is definitely behind that one - evil cow. I love Ginny here.  My stomach is already in knots just thinking about when Hermione talks to Snape.

Holy cow.  O_o  Dastardly Umbridge!  I'm not a bit surprised that she'd pull a stunt like that.  I'm just glad that both Ginny and Luna had such compassion and understanding for Hermione, when she needed it so badly.

Wow. This story was recced to me and I'm glad it was. Seeing the young Snape's torment portrayed so well almost has me in tears. The absolute horror of his life, both with and before Voldemort, seem a very likely and realistic scenerio and you've captured the emotion in such a life very well.

i wonder how many women have lost someone they love, because they didn't have the guts to do as Hermione did, and go after him and call his bluff,so to speak. Once Severus commits, he tends to stay commited, so the next chapter will be fun.
