Reviews for Being Hermione Granger
I have been reading the whole story over the past days and I'm really glad I did. It is a great story and I'm really looking forward to reading more soon!!gab
If Severus left that book out for Hermione to find, that must mean he was watching her research about unicorns. That means he either thinks she's doing so for whomever she's bringing with her, or he's figured out that she's the one who's going to be helping. Either way, I can't wait to see his reaction when she shows up the next day. I'm looking forward to the next chapter.
I'm really looking forward to the next part, when they hopefully will collect the ingredient. I would like to see Severus's reaction to Hermione bringing herself as "someone suitable". Amazing chapter -- good job!
That was a really amazing chapter. I enjoyed Hermione's thought process.
She shouldn't be disappointed- she should be thrilled! He allowed her to be out of bed that late, not taking the points from her he surely would have had to, just to retain his reputation. He helped her find the information she wanted by giving subtle hints. He let her keep the peace and anonymity she was looking for during her nightly jaunts. I would think that shows he thinks enough of her to recognize what she would prefer.
Nicely done! I really like how you've gotten into her head, and how you're weaving her actions and motivations together. I'm finding the entire story very believable as well as quite engaging. Thanks for the update!
Lovely chapter! I think we can guess who that Disillusioned presence in the library is. I am looking forward to reading about The Collection in the forest.
Another good chapter. Poor Hermione! I'm glad she has Ginny, though. Looking forward to more!
great chapter, wonder if he has figured out she will be collecting the blood herself?
Very interesting. I'm looking forward to the next chapter!
“You lack real talent in Potions, Miss Granger. Clearly I am in no position to deny that you possess an almost limitless capacity for”—his voice dripped with disdain—“memorizing facts. However, book work will not gain you a mastery of Potions. You have no instinct, no innate understanding of the subject.”OMG. THANK YOU for pointing this out. She really doesn't. Entirely too many people write "PotionsMistress!Hermione" without any COMPREHENSION that she *refuses* to innovate, and *REFUSES* to experiment!!! "If it ain't in the book, it's wrong" seems to be Hermione's motto, and Snape "groks" it on such a visceral level that I don't think he's *capable* of explaining to his students "why", because he justKNOWS, and if they don't just KNOW, he can't explain it to them. Not because it's a failure of his as a teacher (although in all fairness it should be noted that Snape definitely has his shortcomings as a teacher!), but because if they don't "just get it" it can't "be gotten". Kind of like Neville. He's never going to "get" Potions. But Herbology? He "gets"! (And I love Neville to itty-bitty pieces and think he is made of awesome!)

Oh, what an evil cliff! I am longing to read about their night time stroll in the forest...It seems that our surly potions professor does take an interest in his overachieving pupil after all ;-)
lovely, i can't wait to read how the unicorn blood collecting goes.
Truly a triumph, my dear. Lovely chapter. Cannot wait for more.
I can't wait to see Snape's reaction when Hermione shows up by herself. This is turning into a really fascinating story -- please post more soon!
This is a magnificent chapter. The details you describe are simply delicious. I don't believe I've ever seen anyone emphsize so beautifully the great honour and responsibility it is for her to use his private lab. You had me practically trembling in fear that she'd break something, and that Albus would cause her to ruin the fourth potion! The description of his private area was gorgeous and sensuous, and the way you describe her growing attraction to him is simply divine. When he told her to bring the appropriate person to assist on Saturday I almost swooned. I thought for sure they needed virgin's blood and... well, my libido shifted into overdrive, I'm afraid. But the unicorn's blood opens equally lovely doors of the imagination and I am now most eagerly awaiting Saturday and whatever new delights you have in store for us.
I have only just found this story and you have me ensnared in your web. I am a naturally compassionate person with a background in massage therapy. Your description of Severus' suffering grips at my heart and makes me ache to heal him myself.Beautifully and compellingly written.Irish
Your story continues to pull me in. I love the way the characters interact with each other ... silly Dumbledore, wasn't he an Alchemist once upon a time? Surely, he'd know better than to interrupt someone counting the amount of stirs whilst preparing a potion! Keep up the wonderful work; I look forward to more.
having just read the last nine chapters in quick succession, it is a catastrophe to come to the end! this story has really grabbed me. I like your detailed descriptions of the characters, their mental states, their treatments of each other, and all.
Won't he be surprised. Ah, well. There is more to life than being embarrassed about being a virgin. Someone will appreciate it, in any case. Even if it is a unicorn.
I agree with the comment about Dumbledore, he was careless, interrupting her the way he did. I wonder how Severus will react to finding out she is a virgin. Great chapter, very descriptive.
Now we're getting to the nitty-gritty. Good work. Thanks.
Lovely. Thank you for the continued enjoyment.
draco committing suicide was unexpected. though hermione's state of mind is not. I always wonder why no one (except you) seems to write about hermione taking out her fears by eating. interesting set up; I wonder where it shall go.
Great progression. Thank you for this terrific read.
