Loved Hermione conspiring with Winky to fatten Severus up... as pitifully thin as he's gotten, he really needs it. Adding on a good couple stone or so would surely do him a world of good.

And the mental image of Snape enjoying his dessert was the cherry on top. Hermione's ogling aside, the man clearly has no idea how appealing he really is.  But I imagine that his recent physical improvements may come in handy at some point.

That was quite a breakthrough, I wonder whether she got the house points back hehe. I look forward to the next chapter!

Awesome update!  It's so nice to see Snape back to his old self.  Hermione has been instrumental in breaking though his fatalism and engaging his will to live.  I can't wait to see what happens next!

I just found this story, and you have me intrigued. An excellent storyline, and you manage to involve only so very few characters!

Yep, Hermione would be returning to school while the boys would not.

I always like a perceptive Ginny. Finally Hermione has someone who looks out for her, which she needs on many levels. Alternating dialogue H-G and H brooding-alone adds life to your story.

The tension between Snape and Hermione is palpable and their interactions develop very believably. In this chapter finally we see what Snape values in a Potions student--and he's right: this is not how Hermione has worked.

Not getting Snape's point of view increases the reading experience. It is darn hard to take for me, but then so it is for Hermione. thankfully, Ginny could eavesdrop a few times.

Please go on and help these two out of their awkwardness, and esp help Snape to a life that's worth living!

Oh my, how things are heating up! I'm quite enjoying your  story. I didn't realize the beginning was a dream. It took me by surprise, but at first I thought Snape was trying to prove something....then Hermione woke up.

Ohhh yay, I'm so happy to be reading your story! It's great so far! Good job! Haha I do have a hard time picturing Hermione chubby, but that's only because I've seen the movies too many times and visualise her as Emma Watson (who is a skinny mini!). And poor Snape... really pulls on the heart-strings!

Another brilliant chapter.  I do love the Snape-Hermione interaction, in this chapter you can really feel the tension between them - in my opinion the best part of any SS/HG story.  I love the very very slight softening of Snape's demeanor, it's wonderful how the development of their relationship is happening so very slowly.  I also love Hermione's introspectiveness, it lends the story a very detailed emotional tone.  Oh and the scene at the beginning (Hermione's dream) honestly had me clicking the back button and wondering if I had missed something!

I just found this story yesterday and have now caught up.

Well written, intelligent, enticing, and all involved are perfectly in character. And even though Snape started out completely distant, he is finally beginning to warm up to her.

You get into Hermione's thoughts so well. I can just see her getting flustered in his presence. And it's fun to wonder what he is thinking. It's also sad to know how much he has suffered and is still suffering. Heartbreaking.

I hope she can help him... on all levels.

Great story. I can hardly wait for more, although I see that it sometimes takes you a lot of time between postings. But that can be expected for such a thorough and well thought out plot. Take your time. I prefer good over fast any day!

Both so human and vulnerable... I love the "dream sequences" you throw in at times ... Snape is never really out of character, that's great! And your HG is not flawless either which creates proximity for the reader. I whole heartedly love this story and can't wait for the next update!!

Very nice, Hermione is well on her way to being who she is and doing what makes her happy instead of what is expected of her.
