I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Reviews for The Potion Master’s Amalthea
another great chapter! i loved seeing everyone coming together and pitching in to help mount severus's defense, and i look forward to seeing all the witnesses parade through the next chapter. maybe he will begin to see himself in a different light, when he sees how other people see him. oh, i especially liked how you had bill, the curse breaker, figure out which notes severus had written and disguised. nice touch. also, i wanted to mention that i felt like the stuff you mentioned in your notes was pretty clear from the story. as always, am looking forward eagerly to the next!

Thank you very much. I appreciate the kind words. Yes, with both Harry and Ron (Ron, possibly because of guilt) working on Severus' case, the whole Weasely clan kicked in. Besides, I always wondered why JK would make Bill a curse-beaker and NOT have him help Harry out in that capacity! (odd just odd) Oh, well.Yes, in the trial I bring out quite a bit of Severus' activities! He's been busy! and actually did do some interesting things...
I'm really enjoying your story. But I hope the end of the sort of relationship between Ron and Hermione is soon.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you very much. Yes. Ron never stood a chance once Hermione saw Severus in a roasting pot!
Just started reading this story and I'm hooked. It's brilliant. The depth of detail you have gone into is amazing and totally absorbing. Sometimes I find that I scan the "details" in stories but not with yours..............I'm totally captivated. Can't wait to find out the story behind Kevin and how involved Severus was with his past.Totally brilliant!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you so very much *blushing* I'm a bit of TMI for some people and my beta says I repeat too much when I write - but to have my little details so appreciated is so pleasing to me. I'm glad that they added to the story for you rather than distracted. Thank you for that. You'll find out about what Severus did for Kevin in the next chapter... (he's a hero in my story!) But I don't want to spoil the surprise! I hope you like Edthyl and Edithe Rogers, (sweet little old bitties. Do you remember thier letters?) and Potions Master Kirkwell was a hoot to write! I was laughing my arse off myself typing him! I hope you like him, (Think your typical old fart!) Neveille, Hagrid, Madam Pomfrey and a few other characters (some my own addition to the Potter-world)Fudge is in the chapter as well, trying to be a nusance and Kingsley is a gem I pulled out to play with. Anyway, the next chapter is Severus hearing/arraignment. I tried to make it as undull as possible - I hope you enjoy it!
I hope the story of Kevin gets explained at the trial- which I can't wait to read about.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
You'll see many of the wizards and witches mentioned in previous chapters pop up! Fudge will casue a bit of a trouble, Master Kirkwell was a hoot to type and is adorable. I lmao typing him! (Think typicl old fart). Mrs. Grunmaker, Master Grunmaker are there, and yes, we learn about what Severus did for Kevein - *sigh* Edthyl and Edithe Rogers are there, (sweet little old bitties that they are. Do you remember thier letters?) and Kingsly, Neveille, Hagrid and Madam Pomfrey - and more. Severus has many who come to stand up for him!I tried to make the hearing/arraignment as unboring as possible, humor, cuteness, snarlyness and a few characters you'll know nad few that I've introduced to you - sort of! I really hope you like this chapter...
Response from CharmedForce (Reviewer)
Oh, it sounds great! I can't wait to read it.
Wonderful chapter and the author's notes help us see what is going on in the story.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. The comments in the notes were some of the questions my beta asked me after she read my chapter. Rather than make the chapter even longer, I simply answered her questions. Short cut, but it worked. (I was on a deadline to get this story done. I didn't want to hurt Shadow_ks by not giving her a good story for the gift exchange.) I'm glad you liked this. Thank you for the reveiw.
Im really liking this story so far. I like how you go into detail on everything, it makes for a well rounded story with no unexplained holes. Very nice, can't wait for more
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. Nope, I didn't want amy loop holes. I wanted to show a growing romantic relationship and blending of two people who had a very rough first start. Thank you for reveiwing.
great chapter, nice to see Hermione breaking through some of Severus' barriers
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thnak you. Yep, she's peeling back the layers and pushing in through his walls.
I am enjoying your story so far and eagerly await the next update :) Thank you for writing
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you very much, and you're welcome.
Great chapter, I hope Severus is pleasently surprised by Harry and is not being persectuted by him.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you very much. I think Severus will be quite surprised...
I like that she felt safe enough to lash out at him, and he deserved it, but I'm sure he doesn't see it that way. A good chapter.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Yes, Severus is actually seeing Hermione's true self - and about time too. Although, the truth is still the truth, even if you don't want to hear it. Thank you for the nice review.
I never even thought about the fact that Hermione wouldn't have been outside in all that time. I'm glad she will have a new task to help keep her busy.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Yep, she's been IN his house all this time. so a new task is just what she'll need, if she can find the time... Thank you very much for the review.
The potions part was so detailed, did you make charts yourself??
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Oh you're going to laugh about this. Yes. I copied calendar pages from a daily planner to not only keep track of the potions, but also for Severus's recovery and who the wound heals and his strength recovery.I actually used the 'progress' of a patient with a ulcer for the wound, (which is why it sometimes seems to be getting worse before it got better) and the recovery of a traffic accident patient for Severus recovery (the ability to walk and function normally again). I also have a friend who's really into Herbs, and whenever anyone makes comments, suggestion or even complaints about Herbs, I jot them down for reference too. I think it adds a touch of real to the story.Gads, I'm sorry for the long reply! Thank you for the compliment and I do really appreciate your review. Thanks.
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
wow what a lot of work! Thought you must be "in the know" the descriptions of the wound healing process were so accurate!
Another great chapter - all the potions brewing just wore me out - whew what a schedule... Severus at school must have slept like never. I loved that she stood up to him and told him that Harry is NOT HIS FATHER - great idea and good work.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. I had to keep a check list as I wrote the potions so that I could keep them straight myself! Imagine brewing them? Yes, I wanted Hermione with a backbone in this one, and she is standing up to him. What's he gonna do - take house points from her, or throw her out? hehehe He doesn't really know what he's gotted himself into...
Lol... I love how she got cheeky right back at him when he tried to tease her about the bath. It fits well into the dynamic of their evolving relationship now.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you.
I'm really enjoying this. I like the interactions. And Snape is really being Snapey. Well done.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. That is exactly what I was going for.
The whole chapter was well written, but my favorite part was Hermione teasing Snape about a bath, a bubble bath at that!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. I loved typing that part, too.
I love the mild bickering back and forth you set-up for them - it makes Severus's character more real. I loved the ending where he was teasing her about the bath. A little tension... I cannot wait to see how you take this situation and make it into more between them.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. Hermione is a bit of a brat and Severus is rather snarky - but that is what makes them so much fun. He can't take points from her - so Hermione feels freer to be herself and stand up to him more. He's starting to feel better, but still reliant on someone (Hermione) which is so frustrating for him... Give them time (and a helpful push) and they will break the ice - eventually.
Such an excellent chapter. You give this a leisurely (but in no way boring!) air, as if we were really spending the time there, talking about different subjects at different times, experiencing their various moods and thoughts. Very well crafted.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you very much for the lovely compliment.
Home run chapter - I love your writing style - life for the two of them even in the mundane tasks is really one little healing moment at a time for Severus. When he asked her what she really wanted and she said to someday be his friend if he would let her, she cracked the shell of Severus a little. Cannot wait to see where you take them.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you for your kind words. This was exactly what I was going for. To have Hermione chip away at his shell a piece at a time, and all the while really being able to see him, really get to know him. Thank you again.
aw... this is such a well written story. =] so many are so far off snape's character that they are unrealistic. but i think you've hit the nail on the head, so to speak. very nice.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Wow, thank you for the compliment. I really try to keep Severus the snarky guy we all love. Thank you for the review and the stars.
What a beautiful ending. I felt like Severus was screwed over royally in DH. I just can't see Hermione with Ron for the long haul. What would they talk about? After the initial hormone rush was over, I really see them drifting apart and wanting different things out of life. Guess I can't forget, when he gets mad, he does stupid things (Lavender and leaving). Anyway, once again, thanks for the great story. Really enjoyed it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you very much. I'm glad you liked this one. After all they went through, I agree Severus and Hermione were written for each other - Ron is too immature and dull for her. Thank you for the supportive review. I really appreciate it.

Thoroughly enjoyable read. Loved how you portrayed the characters.

I love the ending. It is fitting that they didn't just stay in bed for a week and ride those hormones for all they are worth. Having them "date" following that incident was perfect.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you so very much. I didn't want a hormonal Severus like that. I thought a gentlemanly approach would be more fitting. I'm so gald it worked. Thank you.
I loved that whole story. I really enjoyed it, and I like the development of their real relationship after Lucius was being naughty.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. I'm glad you like this.
A baby, engaged and he knew about the baby before she told him - great chapter. Sorry to see it end - loved it while I was reading it. Great work.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you so very much. A baby boy, engaged (Hermione wanted to wait) a new career, acknowledged war hero, Order of Merlin - First Class, accepted as a author and renowned Potions expert (books) - Yep everything he deserved and JK denied him! But yes, story done. I'm very glad you liked it - thanks for the review.
