I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.

Lovely chapter and ending. I like how you briefly touched on the many months between their "separation" and the birth of their son. Wonderful story and I loved the realistic element to the whole idea/storyline. Keep up the amazing work (I know you will).~Jen

Interesting...very interesting. I loved this chapter. I really liked the Lucius factor that was introduced in the chapter as well; it added something that was needed for the story to progress. Again, wonderful job!~Jen

I think you did an awesome job on this chapter! I really thought Master Kirkwell was an amusing character. The trial was very realistically run and I loved Hermione's reaction at the end. Again, wonderful job!~Jen
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. I didn't want to run on and on in a trial so I slected a few witnesses and added humor. I'm so glad you like Kirkwell. Wasn't he a hoot? Did you like the twins, Edith and Ethyl? Remember their letters? Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed this. Thank you for the review.

Thanks. Yes, I have the entire clan pulling together. I hope you like the trial, some of it was a hoot to type.

Yes, slowly. Of course she simply refuses to leave - what else could he do but accept her being there. Thank you for the review.

Thank you for a story that is exceedingly well done. It has both breadth and depth without becoming either confusing or cumbersome. You show that the shortest distance between two points may be a straight line, but the most interesting story takes the scenic route - and you have made us stop at all of the scenic overlooks to enjoy the details. Your descriptive details - of the wound's appearance, the furnishing transfigurations, the potion making, the trial proceedings, etc. - give the story a richness and a depth that reminds one of a recounting of what actually happened rather than a made-up fiction.Your characterizations are multi-dimensional and, thankfully, not melodramatic. You avoid the mustache-twirling bad guy and the foot-stomping petulant and instead give us reasonable characters with understandable motivations. I especially enjoy your owl original characters. You give each owl a unique and real personality that implies they have thoughts and feelings about the circumstances they face.Great plot, great pacing. Very well done. Thanks for sharing your imagination.

, Thank you so much for this incredible reveiw. I must have read it three times, still amazed by the thoughfulness of your kind words. I appreciate this more than you could know. If I could frame a review and hang it on my wall - it would be this one. Thank you again.

Really a lovely story, thank you for it! I like your version of the epilogue very much.
Author's Response: Thank you. I like it much better too! anyone's version better!
What in bloody hell did Lucius give her? (You know, not that I mind dub con, but some people might).
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Lucius simply slipped a potion to her... not a bad one and it's well explained in the next chapter. for those who hate Dubious consentual sex, Severus' note (from the next chapter) says it all:Dear Hermione, The potion Lucius gave us is not as strong as I’d thought. It's not one that creates lust – it enhances feelings that are there – if they are there. However, if, and I emphasize ‘if’, the persons act on the ‘lust,’ it can make it so that they won’t be able to deny it and will be eventually consumed by it. Lucius was thrilled when I confronted him. Personal payback between friends, and I’m sorry to say that you had to pay the price. I hope someday you’ll forgive me my indiscretion. I have sent the antidote and suggest you take it. If our feelings are genuine, the antidote will simply allow us to make up our own minds without the potion’s influence. If they were brought on by the alcohol in the champagne in combination with the lust potion, the effects will fade immediately. I’m sorry if you hold any regrets.SS
nicely wrapped up!

Thank you .
Nice ending, and Severus should be quite solvent from all the books he wrote. Hopefully they will have a very happy life together.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
That was what I hoped to convey. Thank you for the review.
Yay! A job very well done. I'm glad you chose to make Severus a writer I have always seen that kind of direction for him. School books are the perfect way to contribute all his research into the magical world.I'm glad you tossed out the epilogue in my perfect fanon world it blows. I'm sure I am not the only Severus's fan to think so LOL.Looking forward to reading more from you!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
I think Severus is a writer because Hermione challenged him to and it gives him something to do while he weighted his options. I don't think he expected his work to go over so well though - and in 3 countries! I suspect he'll go back to brewing potions eventually, but now he has some bank$$$I have to admit - I hated the epologue. I'm a huge fan of EWE! I've a few WIP and several already posted. You're welcome to check any of them out. I'd be flattered to know what you think.
Very nice story. A bit rushed in places, but that's par for the course for an exchange fic. And this one's pretty ambitious, exchange fic or no. well Done.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thank you. This was part of chap 8 orginially and shorter... I cut it and added to make it work better after the exchange was over. I was crunched a bit by the deadline. I suppose it's still rushed in a few places, but this chapter spans nine months. I appreciate the compliment, though. thank you
I'm really enjoying this a lot. Glad I stumbled across it. One thing though-- in this sentence: "Going back to the room where Professor Snape had been laying,"Laying should be lying-- unless he's a chicken or some other egg laying fowl.Really nice start. Look forward to catching up and following the rest.

Thanks. I'm glad you are enjoying this. I hope you enjoy the rest.
Great chapter - I loved how she got the healer there anyway. I am glad she overcame Severus on that one - she is giving him a shot of life and he almost did not take it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Yeah, Hermione can be determined when she wants to be. Besides, Severus still believes he's gonna end up in Azkaban! Thank you for the reveiw. I'm glad you like this story.
Yay! So we get closer to the day when Severus is finally free. Which sadly also means the day for Hermione to not be needed anymore. What will we do at that point?Can I have a clue? Please, pretty please? I'll be nice and give and send you a virtual cookie!Guess I'll have to come back to find out huh?*Sighs* Oh well...Another great chapter.*Refresh, refresh, refresh how come there's still no new chapter?*LOL~Aby~
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
Thegoodshipper,
Relax, the next chapter is in queue – and I assure you, it will be up for reading really soon! Yes, Severus is finally facing his trial and many of the witches and wizards mentioned will pop back up. I tried to make the trial as humorous as possible. You’ll love Edthyl and Edithe Rogers (the two women from the Ministry who wrote Severus – remember them?) and Potions Master Kirkwell – he’s a hoot!
From chapter 8:
Snape and Hermione had fallen into a comfortable routine. They discussed which potions they would brew at dinner, Hermione checking the supplies to make sure the ingredients were on hand and fresh enough…
~~~~~
Hermione turned to face him. “I think it is time you move up to your bedroom upstairs.”
“And give up my boudoir in the dining room?” he asked, turning the page again.
“I just thought you’d like to have your home returned to normal,” she said off-handily. “I mean, you were so adamant about it being temporary when I made the changes, I just assumed you’d want it changed back.”
He set the book aside and rose off the bed, looking at the room with a critical eye. “Yes, I suppose it’s time,” he said. (What Hermione does to his bedroom – teehehehe “I will not have it looking like a little girl’s boudoir!” he snapped. – for example)
Severus had been very gracious to Hermione since the trial. Well, as gracious as he could be. They still had their battle of wits, arguments and discussions; however, she discovered that she understood Severus much better lately. He’d even begun using her first name, unless he was upset about something. She found he had a dry wit and sarcastic sense of humor and could be quite amiable when he wanted. Still, he had offered to let her stay with him, continued tutoring her and still had her help him brew potions.
~~~~~
“Well, well, well, so the rumors are true, you are staying here. Playing house, are we?” His (Lucius Malfoy) snide question couldn’t hide the surprise he obviously felt upon finding Hermione in Snape’s home.
~~~~~
She had also started looking for a house. Hermione was considering a quaint cottage on Mariner’s Lane in a quiet wizard seaside village near the Pembroke coast or a small Tudor outside of Canterbury. Severus was surprisingly quiet on the subject of Hermione’s house hunt, often becoming withdrawn whenever she even mentioned house hunting or specific properties she saw.~~~~~
At the Malfoys’ formal acquittal party:
“Are you having a good time, Miss Granger?” Lucius Malfoy asked.
Hermione had just sipped her drink and nearly choked, so she simply nodded. He laughed softly, exchanging her glass for another. “Here, try this one,” he said. “Its flavor may suit your taste better.” The champagne had a slightly pink blush to it and a different taste, which was both pleasing and refreshing. “May I have the next dance?”
Back at Spinner’s End:
“Severus, yes. I’ve – yes, I do,” she replied, kissing him again. “I want you….” He tried to push away, but she followed him, pressing her body against his. “I’ve wanted you since the first time you let your guard down with me.” He took another step back and she matched him as if they were dancing. “Somehow this feels right.” She swayed on her heels as she tried to kiss him.
“You’re drunk,” he accused, almost sounding like pleading. She stumbled and his arm went around her waist to steady her.
They were now leaning against the other wall. “I don’t care,” she said in his ear in a deep purr.
“I do,” he groaned.
What happens next is in chapter 9…. Will this hold you until I can get the chapter in, Aby?
*Does a little dance and sings*Yay! I got a preview, I got a preview, I got a preview.I feel so special now. Thank you so much!Now I want to know what happens in between. So I guess it can hold me up for about .... 2 days... nah probably more around 36 hours LOL.Take your time my dear, you are a prime example of why quality is better than quantity, no matter how much you wait for it :). Just as long as you dont keep us hanging!
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Potion Master’s Amalthea)
If I'm keeping you hanging it's only cuz I have more than three stories going on lately! (Yes, I'm insane - you'll see soon enough what I mean!) Three multi chapter stories, two that are really long WIP and one that will wrap in 18 chapters! and I keep getting inspired with short ones! Thankfully, I now have more than one beta - but I can really wear out my beta - sigh. I'm prolific lately!However, this one is done in 9 chapters. (it was origianlly 8 but I was pressed by a deadline so the last chap wasn't how I wanted - it's been fixed.) The next chapter The Trial is in queue... 10th I think as of tonight? and I'm ready to add in chap 8 as soon as it posts. Hang in there. I never abandon a fic - ever once I start posting it! Just bear with me.
