Hermione is forced to lead a double life when she agrees to Dumbledore's plan to protect Professor Snape. Inspired by the Marriage Law. Warning for student/teacher relationship, though Hermione is of age.

Grape Forever!
Reviews for Second Life
Awesome chapter. I love your take on this side of the story.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you very much!
I love this story so far and am eagerly awaiting updates! I really like how you've done the pacing of this story. It kind of reminds me of "Titanic", as we know what's coming, are almost eagerly awaiting it, but dreading it at the same time (and wondering how AU things will actually get). With each chapter, things are becoming more heated, and I just can't wait to read more. Oh, and can we have more pr0n, please? The stuff in past chapters was some of the hottest I've read recently.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! I'm so glad that you are liking the story, and I'm even happier to hear that the pace is working for you. That's wonderful news on my end!!Thank you for the pr0n compliment as well. I'm not going to do really drawn out lemons until a bit later in the story. I'm not saying there won't be any until then, just that they won't be like the ones that came before. :)Thank you for reviewing!!
I'm very much enjoying your story.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! I'm so glad!
Wow! what a great story. Looking forward to many updates.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
My heart is beating wildly after this terrible scene. I was screeping to get out and I'm so glad they're safe. *deep sigh of relief*. I think I'm getting too old for so much emotion.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Oh no!! I'm so sorry!! I'm glad it was tense and emotional, but I'm sorry for the distress. Thank you so much for reviewing!
Response from snitchette (Reviewer)
No need to be sorry. This just shows how good a writer you are (if necessary to be proved) as you can drowned me into the action like that.
Firstly, I loved the switching POV between Severus and Hermione. It was really very well done and added amaizing scope to this chapter.I also loved the way you described Hermione and Harry's reaction to Ron's dissapearance. Very poignant. The last scene when Snape was reliving that terrible day sixteen years before had me on the edge of my seat. Another absolutely fabulous chapter!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much! I'm really glad the POV switching worked for you. I was nervous about it as I wrote it. Thanks for reviewing! More soon!
*deep breath* Wow that chapter was intense! I think I might have held my breath throughout the entire last two scenes! The imagery of Severus nearly losing Hermione in a way similar to how he'd lost Lily was breathtakingly painful. I especially loved the conversation between Severus and Voldy; Severus was flawless in hiding his true reactions and Voldy was delightfully oblivious. I only hope that Severus doesn't suffer too horribly with this punishment, considering there is no one waiting for him to come back, to take care of him. As always, I'm left wanting more and can't wait for the next chapter!

Thank you so much,

! I'm so glad that it was exciting for you. It's so hard to write all this action/adventure--it's not my forte, and besides, we all know what happens! But I'm glad it still feels suspenseful. I'm glad you liked the Voldemort parts. You know, I actually kind of enjoy writing Voldy, as wrong as that seems. Thank you for reviewing! And there will be more by the end of the week. :)
I wondered how long it would take for the passion to over-rule the common sense! I hope it does again soon!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
I'm glad you liked that one. It's one of my favorites. ;) Thanks for reviewing!
OMG I love this fic. Can't wait for the next update. Keep up the awesomeness
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you're enjoying it!
Now, she is hiding her feelings to protect him. Poor dears!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
They do find themselves in quite a mess...Thank you so much for reviewing!
So he plans to make her lonely so that he can mold her. Why do I see that backfiring?
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Hmmm....? :) I don't know that he wants to make her lonely, so much as he wants to use her loneliness, but either way, yes, it's not gonna work. ;) Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Was there hidden meaning for her in there somewhere?
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Maybe...:)
I was on the edge of my seat for the last part of this chapter. Wow! I am absolutely delighted and in awe of how you're rewriting canon from Severus' and Hermione's points of view. *applause*
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much. That means a lot to me. And I'm glad you liked the ending in particular--that's one of my very favorite parts of SL. :)
My heart is aching.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
That was a tough one. I'm sorry. Poor Severus.
Man, I feel sorry for them all in this chapter. Well, Hermione less than Ron or Severus, but still.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Yes, everyone is feeling the effects here. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
I feel like a broken record with each review I leave for this story because they all essentially say the same thing -- this is incredible!! I love the interactions between Harry & Hermione, his offering her the rest of the spaghetti because he's concerned about her health got me a bit choked up! :) And Snape-- having to endure christmas with the Malfoy's is just torture in and of itself, but with Voldemort there as well. Yuck. Hermione - smart girl contacting Severus to check about Godric's Hollow! Its just too bad she didn't check earlier. And poor Severus -- i feel so badly for him - having to suffer the brunt of Voldemort's wrath at the loss of Potter. His thoughts on sitting in front of the statue of Lily was very moving. And I'm glad that he's mentioning a bit more (in his thoughts) that he has definite feelings for Hermione ... :) I'll be eagerly awaiting Thursday!! :D
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Hooray! I'm glad you liked it. I'm glad that the Harry/Hermione interaction worked for you! Yes, Thursday is not too far away now. ;) I hope you won't be disappointed. And thank you so much for reviewing; it means the world to me.
Sigh. I knew it. Naturally they'd have to go back to normal, but I enjoyed the tenderness while it lasted... Wonder what she will tell Ron and Harry...
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Yes, it is too bad, but it was far to early in the story to do much else. ;) I'm glad that you saw tenderness there. Thank you so much for reviewing!
This was an intensely gripping chapter. The tender moments between Harry and Hermione were just lovely, and the suspense you built by switching from Severus' to Hermione's POVs was unbelievably good. Reading this has been just like reading DH, but finding another dazzling facet that had previously gone unnoticed. Brilliant.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Emmeline! Thank you! I'm so glad you noticed the POV switching. That was a hard decision, as I haven't done it in quite that way in this fic, so I'm very glad you liked it. Thank you for mentioning it! xoxo
Very clever way for them to go about it, and hot at the same time! Well done!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you!
I enjoyed this chapter and the conversation she had with Albus.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thanks! I'm glad.
Very very good!! Ever thought of taking up writing on your own?? You are truely talented! I liked the insight in to what Severus is going through. JK did not talk much about all that was going on behind the hunt. I am enjoying this story so much more than the real last book!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you,
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
! I've wanted to be a writer all my life, so that means a lot to me. I'm so glad you are enjoying the story. :) xoxo
Thank you for another great chapter! I am looking forward to the next.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much!
Well done. I would leave a more thoughtful review, but I just got back from a weekend camping with the boy scouts, and as soon as this washload gets done, I'm loading the dryer and heading off to bed. Thanks as always for sharing another wonderful reshaped canon.
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you--and I'm glad you survived camping with the boyscouts! :)
This is an absolutely fabulous story! I've been reading non-stop up to this point, and just had to take a few moments to let you know how much I'm enjoying it. I especially like the idea that Moody is "in the know" regarding Snape's activities and not frothing at the mouth to capture/kill him as he's normally portrayed. Can't wait to see what happens next!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you're reading!
Excellent! I had a massive lump in my throat for the first section, with the loneliness and the graveyard scene was so touching! Keep up the good work!
Response from Lariope (Author of Second Life)
Thank you! I'm glad that scene came off the way I meant it, though I'm sorry for lumps in the throat...Thank you so much for reviewing!
