I guess the way Hermione doesn't know what she is feeling, the whole loss of the vial, Severus really discovering that he enjoys her company, and it all going to hell.  It is really enjoyable, but skewed.

He does have patience - but not an infinite amount.  Not the best decision to bring the Starglass with her, but she is used to carrying it around while in the past - she was usually calling on Snape for studying it.  I think it is a fairly normal mindset for people to assume that bad things happen to others and not themselves, so it isn't unreasonable for her to overlook the fact that she might be part of the robbery - especially considering how distracted she is by her circumstances.   And, I like irony.  :)

He was actually doing it to irritate Severus.  You know, when there are two dogs and two bones, but one of the dogs takes the other's bone just because he can.  A pecking order thing.

Hermione did promise to help Severus with his project - so she wouldn't have left right away.  She seems to be the kind to keep her promises.

As for your last comment - I think you'll like the next chapter (it's been written for months).

The Starglass is more than a time traveling device, but it is tricky to operate because it works off of what the user intends (not necessarily wants) - both consciously and subconsciously.  One must be clear of purpose when one is using it or the results can be disasterous, which is why so many users ended up in a bad way.

Spot-on description of his house!  I've always wanted to see that at least one of Luna's creatures existed.  Just because you can't see a Wrackspurt doesn't mean they aren't there... and Luna is a tribute to my beta.  She is her favorite character. :)

Yeah, Lupin must have had a miserable two decades after Lily and James died.  He lost his entire friend base in one fell swoop.

I've never gone for a super-Hermione.  She is smart, resourceful, hard-working, and somewhat battle-savvy after the fight with the Dark Lord, but I think Snape would have the advantage in a fight between them, even as a young man.  He is quite powerful, sly, and he must have picked up some tricks during his time with the Dark Lord.

Severus is good deep down, despite Lucius' influence.  Lucius meant well, in hiw own creepy, abusive way.  He just doesn't take into condiseration that what he thinks is good, isn't what is necessarily good for all involved.

Well, I don't know how often it has been done post DH, but I hope the rest of the fic is original.  :D  When I was writing the backyard, I imagined a lonely Severus exploring the field and  climbing into the larger structures of rusted metal and throwing rocks and things down the well.  I think I would have enjoyed exploring it as a kid, too.

Yes!  I'm glad that people caught that.  Time lines for time-travel fics can get convoluted - and since I have her going back and forth, it might get confusing.
