I am a grateful fan of Ms. Rowling and of her overwhelming Byronic Character, Severus Snape! Please check out the first chapters of each fic (except for "How Can I Tell You," which is on Chapter 2) to see pictures of the Heroines.

I loved this chapter. It was so sweet and perfect.

I got a lot of reviews saying exactly that. Sometimes it is the tender, gentler moments that can be the most erotic and meaningful, sexually. I'm glad you liked it and thank you for continuing to review!

This is my favorite chapter so far. I like that Snape is empowering her to defend herself more ably.

It it my favorite chapter as well, and over all, it remained my favorite. It opened a door for Mary and also began their "partnership". They would now have a purpose together. Plus, I also think it is realistic for abuse victims to get physically violent. I think some want to, but don't because of fear, but Mary being the Gryffindor she is, was ready to kick ass! Unfortunately, she has some things to learn.

Holy cow, Livvy! I know this is quite old, but I found it with the random story button. I have come across it several times before and passed it up. Not because of the darkness or warnings, but because I really don't like OC's as the main characters. I can think of a lot that I've liked as peripheral characters, but I stay away from stories where they are the main focus. But I had nothing else to read, and your stories have never disappointed me before. Well, this was brilliant! I was hooked from the beginning, and consequently, was almost late for work today because I couldn't stop. This feels so real. Your emotions from the characters totally draw me in so that I almost forget that I am not actually there. I think you have her thoughts and feelings exactly as they would be in her situation. That is, fortunately, speculation on my part, and hopefully yours as well. But you have done quite a convincing job.I also think that the evolution of their relationship was well done. They didn't just jump from bad to good overnight, but it also wasn't long and drawn out. He slowly earned her trust and respect and that is how it had to happen. On the issue of OC's, I got to thinking, if Mary had been replaced with a canon character, Hermione, Ginny, Tonks, or whomever, would the story have worked so well for me? I think the answer is a definite no. Am I going to run out and declare that main OC's are my new passion, probably not. But, you have changed my mind on them and in the future I will be more open to them. So thank you for that.I don't know what else to say (I know you are thinking, "you already wrote a small novel, why do you need to say more?") I noticed that this didn't get many reviews at the time and I have to wonder why. So I guess this is extra wordy to make up :) Thanks for sharing such an awesome story!

Thank you for such a fantastic review! This fic has a very special place in my heart. When I posted this fic, I had three women contact me privately to tell me that this fic helped them to either get counseling or report a rape to the police. As a rape victim, I know how hard that is, to gather the courage to speak up. I never regretted going to the police. And I was living in another country at the time! It was horrifying, and humiliating with the many depositions and the physical examination. In the end, he was only charged with Battery, but he got a taste of jail life-and he wasn't from that country either!OC's are hard. I do love a nicely written SS/OC fic, and I have enjoyed writing them, but it isn't everyone's cuppa, and some people like yourself, liked this particular fic, but it's not going to switch you over completely to SS/OC. I appreciate the time you took to let me know how you felt about it. It's nice to get feedback on my older fics. :)Thanks!Livvy
