*holds up hand* I do solemnly swear that I will never leave a story unfinished.
After so many years writing, nothing drives me quite so crazy as leaving myself (not to mention my readers! ) hanging. So I will never post anything without the guaranteed promise to finish it.
I'm a globe-trotting recent grad who currently makes her home in San Francisco, where you have to wear a coat all summer long. I've been writing for over eight years, including fanfic, original fic, poetry, and research dissertations. I've just recently finished my first multichapter Harry Potter fic (SS/HG). It's called "Memento Amori" and is perhaps the favorite of my literary offspring.
I am also the proud sire of two one-shots, "More Than a Dream" and "Serpensortia" - which took runner-up in the Potter Place Summer '07 Prompt Challenge.

So Severus made her worm braclet which is in fact a snake. Did he cause her brain injury too? I am concerned.

So curious! So perceptive! So... accurate? We'll see...... *trails off mysteriously*
Thank you for the definition of Ciecero. I was wondering what it meant. I have learned something today!
You had me laughing out loud with this line"“Do you have any idea how much sarcasm turns me on?” Severus replied, his eyes bright.Tee hee. I hope the farmer in chapter one is severus. I really really hope it is.
I noticed, well it rather hit me in the face how Harry always calls Hermione Camilla. I think Ginny is right that Harry sees Cho and has a crush. Severus' words of the previous chapter, something about Harry not being able to see below the glamour that Hermione is undernieth, oh so very pointant. Okay i am going to bed now. promise to finish up shortly. This is really quite a wonderful story. What else do you have??

Because of course Snape knows *all* about how hard it is to always pretend to be someone else. :)I have two other one-shots that are also available at this archive; I think you'd like them. They're light and fluffy as opposed to this heavier story.
Harry blinked. “You used the Killing Curse on bunnies?”As a gardner I have no problems with H&S killing rabbits. Those damn bunnies eat my flowers! If you need more test subjects please send them directly to my house. So the raven is Snape's familiar. Hummmm I was thinking he was an animani. Heh, well I was close.
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
Super props to you for even noticing the raven, most readers did not!
It took me awhile to put it together, you gave Shug to Ron?! I am sure she thought that was just hilarious! Arent you supposed to be nice to your betas? Okay who is the prized DE that killed Draco and then apparently was killed himself.
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
I was very nice to her! I made her a dragon-tamer and gave her to one of the coolest fanon Rons to exist. :-P
Ahhhh so it was not her intention to forget her night with Severus, but rather something he did. Sneaky. I thought this was the most powerful line of the chapter “Dearest…” His voice was suddenly right before her. She opened her eyes to see Severus on his knees before her, all semblance of distance forgotten. “Do not weep, not on my account.”
I wonder about Hermione's wrist, is it significant in some way? I also wonder if Hermione chose to not write down the sex on purpose. What a tangled web you have weaved! I mean that as a compliment of course.
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
Everything's significant. Eeeeeeeverything. :)
Now the conversation Snape and Harry had at the battle makes more sense. I dont quite understand why Harry doesnt realize that Severus showed him violent memory just to get a reaction out of him? Is this more of hot head Harry flying off the handle? I suppose it does not matter since he managed to kill Riddle. If Snape had been there afterwards to explain, but noooooooooo Mr. mysterious has run off.
Clearly the DEs never watched that episode of Seseme Street "Stop! Drop! & Roll!" You were not kidding when you said you had a kick ass final battle for us. Holy cats woman your battle had everything! Now where did Severus fly off too? Is he the raven?

I wrote this chapter while I was in the backseat of a car careening along mountain roads in Nepal. I had quite a bit of adrenaline helping me alone, heehee. Glad you liked!
I cant remember anymore how far I got into this story before I had to stop. Her research into repelling the AK is enthralling. I wonder if she didnt suceed and Albus isnt really dead? Nah.
There has been a fair amount of discussion about if a witch or wizard could AK themselves. I see you and I agree that it could be done.
Squeee!!!Your story is complete CHECKI have seen the movie CHECKI am here to read it in one sitting CHECKSqueee!!
This is very beautiful. Your attention to detail is amazing. I do so like these kinds of dark SS/HG stories, but I find them rather rarer to come by than the snarky, not-so-serious kind.
Despite the various time periods, your story is compulsively readable; this surely must be testament to the quality of your writing. Still, I think I'll be going back and rereading again to get the chronology in order!
Bravo.

I am very glad that you found it so readable; that was definitely one of my biggest worries when embarking upon this story. Thank you so much for the review!
