*holds up hand* I do solemnly swear that I will never leave a story unfinished.
After so many years writing, nothing drives me quite so crazy as leaving myself (not to mention my readers! ) hanging. So I will never post anything without the guaranteed promise to finish it.
I'm a globe-trotting recent grad who currently makes her home in San Francisco, where you have to wear a coat all summer long. I've been writing for over eight years, including fanfic, original fic, poetry, and research dissertations. I've just recently finished my first multichapter Harry Potter fic (SS/HG). It's called "Memento Amori" and is perhaps the favorite of my literary offspring.
I am also the proud sire of two one-shots, "More Than a Dream" and "Serpensortia" - which took runner-up in the Potter Place Summer '07 Prompt Challenge.

Good chapter, as for the scotch.......Obliviate??
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
There was nothing suspicious in the scotch. Hermione just never got the chance to record anything, so she remembered nothing... Severus made sure of that.
But she killed Severus!!!!! Update.
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
She didn't kill Severus; he AK-ed himself so that she wouldn't become a murderer.
At least, that's what you're supposed to think until I finally reveal more in chapters that haven't been posted yet. *grin*
lovely writing, but SHIT! She killed Severus!I am not familiar with this movie so I am glad you explained it.On to the next chapter...
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
Are you so certain that she did?
I liked the dragons's help it reminded me of Zazza's Tale. I always thought dragons were a bit underplayed in J.K.R.'s world.

Dragons rule! Glad you enjoyed. :)
this style lends it self to suspense. Very rapid pacing.
aww Severus is turned on by sarcasm... funny. I love how they worked together.
This time I really do have to stop and go to work, but first:
I love that it all converges on her birthday!
“Like what? The rabbit suddenly develops a raging desire to conquer large parts of England?” *snort*
Still going strong.
Wait, who killed Draco? Did I miss that somehow?
Loved this bit: “A most pleasant place to live,” he replied cheerily. “Although she tends to think about catnip nearly as frequently as I did sweets.”
Nicely done.
Oops. Surprise. I guess she forgot to record a little somehting. Darn that liquor.
Great battle. I liked that there were giants on both sides.
Challenging to keep track of but quite entertaining.
Nicely written. Interesting premise.
Addictive -- I've read the whole thing in two days and would have finished it more quickly if I'd found it on the weekend. You did leave us with a happy ending after a fashion -- Snape gets his wish to be a farmer, and Hermione gets hers to live with him.
This was very cleverly put together. More importantly, the emotion woven through it felt completely real.

I live to inspire reading marathons! :) So glad that you enjoyed.
A memorable story. I am glad that I decided to wait for it to be finished before reading anything. It was frustrating enough without waiting for an update. In spite of the impossibility of living like that, half an hour again and again, regardless of magic, phoenix quill and Snape-level bracelet, the chaos produced by snippets of time was well done and infuriating in a good way. But, what makes this story worth reading are emotions, Snape's primarily. I don't buy the happy ending. This is a tragedy.
Now, I would love to read a story with this level and quality of emotion, with a normal timeline and a happy ending.
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
I'm pleased that you found Snape's emotions to be one of the highlights of this story... especially we never really get to see anything from his point of view. I'm glad that I did our favorite, complex, ambiguous character justice.
Wow. What a story. That was a rollercoaster of emotion. The attention to detail was incredible. A really great piece of work. And in the end you kind of feel like Hermione wondering what is real. :) Just like DH this story doesn't need an epilogue so you won't hear me asking for one. Perfect as is.
Evil cliffy to end a terribly romantic chapter. ;)SS's waffling and Hgs trip to the club...his reeking of whisky, he has given in. I do enjoy a possesive Snape.
So, so bittersweet. It is amazing how you characterize the emotion with her curse, its very complex, logical, and flawless.
Response from Olethros (Author of Memento Amori)
Thank you! This is one of my favorite chapters.
Hermione's revelations of her Camilla persona would be bittersweet. Lucius- interesting meeting, and teh critters know something is amiss.
Crookshanks rocks! Bless his soul. I always imagined him eating pettigrew. Horrid way to go, poor thing.By and far this chapter is the humor chapter. I like that you treated the animal testing with sensitivity on behalf of the characters. The working relationship between SS and HG is perfect.
Interesting and intelligent magic. Fun dialog!
I really enjoyed Hermione in this chapter.
Bingo!Excellent.
